Chief Osagie children were simple natured and unassuming, contrary to what Pamela had  anticipated in ordering her own choice of meals.
         Ben who was one out of the two boys who were among the six students, that were in camp,  Ben made a big fool of him self which again led his friends to reconsider his company.  Immediately he set his eyes on one of the chief daughter he started to manifesting his mania for girls, Ben tried to catch chief Osagie daughter attention by flirting around her and the message was not lost on chief daughter who did not show any interest in him.
                    When the chief Osagie daughter started going out after spending some time with them,  Ben would have followed her but Efe sharp rebuff, the girl turned round at the door and winked at her cousin before leaving.
                Considering the way Ben was flying up his shirt, and the way he was talking to the chief daughter, Pamela would have hit him hard on the head. Nwanju, Grace and Deborah were also short of words and each felt like talking sense into his head, they however, let everything die there knowing that any discussion directed at Ben at that time was going to be a disastrous one, no one particularly  wanted to cause Efe grief because of Ben who would never be contrite no matter what.
                 Chief Osagie house was the dream of everyman, the money spent on the structure of the gate alone could be enough to build an average cottage.
                 Pamela who was not really opportune to engage Chief Osagie in any discussion, which was her secret plan , this was because he came home that day very late. He met the students briefly and advised them to be good, he promised to throw a party for them on the last day of the second week, just to get them refreshed, after all work and no play makes jack a dull boy .
                  The peculiar thing about Chief Osagie was his voice and ears . Ever since Pamela was born she had never come across such a sonorous sweet singing voice and such ears, which were like a stamped small flesh with no opening , on the whole he was a gentle man quite comely and pleasant to everyone.
                  Very early in the morning, the students left his house for "Lord high school learning" Each of them carried about six change of clothes, bathing, cooking material and other necessities.  While moving, Pamela  still drowsy suddenly stepped on a sleeping dog on the street, it sprang up and started barking ferociously at her. Confused, she took to her heels, the street was empty except the other students who were ahead of her ran off.
                 Leaving her to the mercy of the dog now chasing after her, while running, other sleeping dog woke up and joined in the outrageous game, Pamela belongings got scattered across the road. At a time a dog tore at her dress pulling her down to face the wrath of the other dogs, solicitously, she hid her head in between her laps surrendering her self and her soul to God to take charge since he had deemed it worthy for her to be so ravaged.
               She remained still but no biting came only barking, the barking intensity later subsided and she did not feel the presence or movement of any dog, slowly and fearfully, she raised her head and met the sympathetic face of a young man. He had come at the nick of time, as much as he tried to hide it he was amused, not uttering a word he took her hands and guarded her to the place in sight where some of her now scanty belongings were.
                In  such nightmarish, her legs could hardly carry her if not for the benevolent gentle man who held her hand , after picking up what she could the young man led her to where her friends were waiting for her.
               "Baby, doggy wanted your ass, ha" laughed Ben the bad one among them, hysterically, the laughter pierced through the still darkness.
                  The young gentleman who took noticed of Ben was about saying something but held back his words, rather, he gave him an inimical look, Pamela was near to tears but what could she do to the boy whose unpleasant character was inordinate and inherent even in his speech not even his action.
                Bowing his head politely, he walked away, all the while not uttering a word but simply trying to suppress the laughter that had been bubbling up in him, to Pamela the young man was her saviour sent from above to and rescue her, 
          Quickly she glanced at her friends and saw their sympathetic look as they caught her eyes but she was angry with them for them not helping her out, slowly she brought out her scattered belongings and tried to rearrange them but to her utter disbelief her towel, tooth brush and tooth paste, and soap can and her set of cutlery were missing.
                 " Oh My God! Your things are missing!" exclaimed Grace with a show of concern for her.
                "I do  not need your sympathy" Pamela was crying ,  " You all were running off with out me, what happened to me can happen to anyone, but you people were uncaring for me your friend, it is not as if I deliberately asked for trouble, even you Efe of all people you join them to run away from me" Pamela was embittered as she spoke to her friends who were not there for her when she needed them mostly.
                She wished that she should have yielded to her mother advice and stayed at home where everybody loyalty could be counted on.      Efe one of her friends who was there tried to placate her but that only ignited Pamela outrage and self pity and the shame she was in.
                   And so the unknown journey started roughly, "When God speak to a drunk person he or she hears until he is clear from his drunken state, then it might be too late to make use of the massage any more"
              But her Best friend like Efe and Deborah, and Grace they began to plead for forgiveness that they should have helped her but they well as fear of touching her but they do not know what was happening to her but Pamela who was very surprised for them to leave her alone and go far enough that her some of her things were even missing, they were not able to help her to take them away from her to keep for her, she kept saying to them to stay away from her that she that she would not like to see them again that they should go that they are not good were not good friends .
                 But her friends Efe and Deborah, Grace never stop pleading for her to forget about what have happened to her that they did the wrong thing, they should have waited close  her and help her to picked up her things away from the road and should have looked out for who can help them if is to take her to hospital or not.
