Mrs had gone to Chief Osagie house on the last day of their reading holiday, she met the gateman, Mike, he was very blunt and told her that Chief Osagie had travelled, she was confused and surprised, she stayed in a nearby department store in front Chief Osagie house hoping to wait for her daughter arrival, but Pamela never came, at about nine in the night when she saw the watchman coming in to exchange duty with Mike, she decided to try again, Adamu was not aware of any organized party and that was all Mrs Phillips could get, she decided to call at Pamela school the next day meanwhile, she left for home.
The entire Phillips family was having breakfast, when Mr Phillips caught the picture of his little girl on the front page of the "Society Newspaper" with the following headline.
"A 13 Years Old Girl in Tangle of crime put the society Aghast".
A genius child at her peak named Pamela Phillips revealed a high well underground crime involving one of our prominent Megalomania, controversial city based business magnate who was a one time Judge of the Federal High Court in the City.

Reflecting on all the things her family went through because of her singular act of disobedience, Pamela was humbled , she accepted her short comings and for once, she could excuse Ben misdeeds, she saw Ben as a child who was brought up without scruples, a child who only learnt new things in company of her friends and in extra lectures she attended after school, it was easy for such a child with out strong parental hold, to be gullible.
He was without a good home training and there was no one to teach him the right thing in the village, his foul language in the village was seen as the language of a refined person, Ben live a life him though was right for there was no one to put him right, Mrs, lhegie and Efe tried but that was not enough.
Pamela walked to Efe bed and admired how peacefully she slept, Efe stirred in her sleep and opened her eyes she smiled at Pamela and set up when the smile was not returned
"What is the matter?"
" Senior Efe what will the principal do to me when she gets to hear that I did not go home, that instead I went to a camp against my mother wish?" Pamela replied
Efe smiled and replied, "No one would think of that again Pamela not even your mother since everything is now well, you have brought glory to this state and have done what lots of detectives could not do you and Nick.
The school principal will be proud of you because you are a good ambassador of queens college, you are a pride to all who knows you because of your courage and determination".

"Not exactly, you Played the part the led to our freedom" Efe turned abruptly and tapped Pamela trying to call her attention.
Pamela could not believe with her eyes the principal came to the hospital to expel her and so she thought, she looked beyond her and her heart jumped to her mouth, when she noticed the wife of the Governor holding a bunch of flowers and smiling resplendently, and the pressmen ran about like flowers boys .
Some one very important perhaps a Minister must be admitted in the hospital and they were paying him a visit, then she saw her form class teacher too, Mr Steven and the ward Doctor Rev. Dr Ahmed they were all approaching them , she tried to divert her gaze so that she would not be staring rudely.
She turned and was surprised to see her mother, father, brother and sister and her rescue partner, a Nick coming in thought another door. Her father took hold of her left palm and pressed it to his lips, a tear dropped from her mother eyes, Pamela did not understand, she looked at Nick but he was only smiling, Evelyn dropped two cards on her stomach, opening one of them it read.
"I" am proud of you"
She opened the other one the same words were expressed it was from David, before she could thank them her great Dad passed her left hand tightly and told her some things special, a word she had been striving to squeeze out of him , he just whispered to her.
"I am proud of you baby"
She threw out her hands and embraced him crying, at that instant she felt a flash and turned round, it was a snapshot.
Her Excellence, the Governor wife extended a bunch of flowers to her, she wanted to to stand upright before collecting it, but her school principal Mrs Swiss Elizabeth Pressed her back to the bed and said.
"It alright darling"
Pamela Opened her eyes and ears wide she could not believe what she heard.
A courtesy visit was paid to the other girls who were still ill hospitalized and Nick too, On may 27th the National Children day, His Excellency the Governor of the state gave award to the six of them, important personality were there to grace the occasion, Chief Osagie and his family were in attendance too, it was a jolly, joyful day.
What impressed Pamela most was the way her parents forgive her, and the Government confiscated all Chief Lord Ozomena properties, a lot of his contrabands evil underground business and child trafficking were all discovered, about nine children were found in the castle and led back home to their respective parents, stolen items were returned to their owners , she had saved her nation from the hand of a killer , she had discouraged many from living a dirty lifestyle and destroyed the life of an enemy in the society, what more could be greater?
Though she never got all her A but she got the pride she had been fighting for and even more than she bargained for, looking back to the day she decided to move down the road, she thanks God and blessed that day, jokingly she decided that it was sometimes good to be obstinate, though only for the right reasons.
Now a new life was to begin for her, one full of challenge and hard work, she realized that setting standard was not enough she had to live up to expectation especially in her academics, above all she resolved to always obey her parents at whatever reasonable cost.Download Novelah App
