Kacha! The door eventually opened up and the soldiers came inside to inspect the lab room. Stanley immediately dart his attention to the soldiers. In this time around, he wasn’t worried about the possibility of them uncovering their lies. However, he was more angry than worried about Byul blabbing his useless mouth. The idiot just woke up and was wondering why the place became crowded at this hour. It was only after the sunrise so he was quite surprised. Stanley just gave him a meaningful loo- no rather a deadly glare signaling him to shut his trap. Fu Yuan walked near the table filled with messy files. His eyes slowly traveled the room and suspiciously landed on the next door. There were no sounds coming from the inside anymore and judging by the relaxed atmosphere, they must’ve a breakthrough last night or so he thought. “Any progress about your research?” The lieutenant asked as he picked up one of the files on the desk. “Well. I need more time.” Stanley just said in a light smile. It’s barely even a day yet they’re seeking progress already. Can a goddamn progress be achieved overnight? If that’s a fact then he’d bow his head to him. Though, their work here is done, if they leave right away the soldiers would definitely be suspicious. “How much time do you need?” Fu Yuan asked impatiently. The outbreak already began and the zombies are already spread across the region. If it goes on, it won’t be long till the world is dominated by the undead. “A week.” Stanley made up his mind. Even at this time frame, it would be difficult to secure their chance of escape. He did want to proposed a month but that would be a real problem then. He just hope that casualties won’t arise in that one week’s time. Byul was stunned speechless by his suggestion. He initially thought it would be three days or less but he dragged this matter for another whole week! What would they do if at some point, they got caught in the middle of the act? Shit! He really wanted to strangle this guy! “Fine, settle the matter in a week.” Fu Yuan just sighed deep. As long as they never screw up, it would be fine to extend their patience longer. “Then would you mind giving all the data you have here?” Stanley asked daringly. If he can have that much then it wouldn’t be a bad deal to stay a bit longer. Fu Yuan was speechless for a moment. He then think for a bit as he stroke his chin in a serious manner. After a while, he looked at Stanley with a bit of suspicion in his eyes. Seeing that his facial expressions doesn’t harbor any malice, he finally agreed. “Is that all you need?” He lightly asked. “If you’d allow me to, then it is.” Fu Yuan just waved his hand and walked away. After a while, the soldiers also followed behind him without saying a word. Byul just sighed. He really wondered whether they’ll allow them to see the data or not. But regardless of what he think of, Stanley doesn’t care. After all, it’s more or less a bargain to get their hands on the files. On the other hand, Fu Yuan was in deep thought. He wasn’t sure of their identity and they’re not well informed on the arrival of the assistance. With his mind off the bat, Fu Yuan called one of his men. “Look into this matter and find out whether those two were really one of us or not.” ---- In the laboratory full of equipment, blood splattered all over the floor, scratches and even bullet holes are decorated in the walls. Stanley stared at Byul, his brow raised high and his arms crossed while his face reveal disgust and annoyance. It’s the fifth day of the week and the tenth time he saw him sewing corpses. God… Any more of this and he’ll definitely turned crazy. The patients were the ones sent to them every once in a while and all of them had this nasty appearance, some had broken bones and some of them were missing a few organs and sometimes he would see a burnt corpse with a disfigured face. It was truly a miracle that after all this time he didn’t have the guts to throw up. “Hand me that scalpel. I have to stitch this part but it would be troublesome if he had this metal stuck on his chest. I have to tear the flesh.” Byul smilingly said to him as he lent his bloody hand. “Ah f*ck.” Stanley scrunched his nose and stomped over to hand the tray filled with tools. Just how in hell did he even get the courage to dissect a corpse? Moreover, he never flinched or felt disgusted. He can really smell the rotten stench even under his surgical mask but this idiot, just this idiot, without even a care in the world seems to be enjoying what he’s doing ah! After sometime, the disfigured body was covered with stitches. The corpse face was patched, showing a normal face as if it only had scars and the dismembered parts were reconnected with a thick thread. If one is too look closely, it would seems like a fixed broken doll. Byul wiped off his forehead sweats that’s now been replaced with dirty blood. He looked at his own masterpiece lying on the hospital bed and couldn’t help but weaved an impudent smile. It’s finally his fifth perfect creation. Ah, the idiot swore, that in his own godly hands he’ll create a strong, undefeatable army! (of corpses, of course) Byul raised his chin, feeling proud of himself for the hundredth time as he thought about the next one he would cast magic on. “I can’t believe you.” Stanley murmured in the corner but Byul, the magnificent idiot didn’t let it slide and his ears twitched, hearing the unaccountable words directed upon him. Stanley palmed his face. Just looking at his over-the-clouds appearance makes him sick. Just how much shenanigans does this guy have? Even letting his nasty antics shown in front of him. It’s just… F*cking unbearable. “I really don’t give a single shit about your opinion though. As long as I’m happy by myself I don’t care.” Words are said and Byul simply decided to ignore him. Even if he was unhappy about his own progress he simply don’t mind. After all, even if you persuade or beg this guy, he’ll just gave you that cold, disgusted look. Byul smiled bitterly, somehow he felt hurt thinking that. But the fact that he hate him to his bone won’t changed. Never. As the two finally had their things all to themselves, the door was opened in a loud bang, startling both of them. Byul glanced at the door and found the fierce-looking lieutenant staring straight to the both of them. Stanley coughed awkwardly darting Byul whole attention towards him. He then saw him smirked evilly under that palms of his with his face filled with darkness. Byul widened his eyes, slowly averting his gaze towards the soldiers on the entrance. A few seconds later, he heard a loud click and several guns were now pointed to them. Byul gritted his teeth. It was that moment that he knew they’re already screwed.
