Dominic was also healing from the wound he received when he rescued Kyla.
“Dominic, thank you so much for everything you did for me, especially for your rescue of me against Mr. Tan. If it wasn’t for me, you wouldn’t be like that, so I’m sorry.” Kyla said sadly.
“It’s okay, Kyla, as long as you have no problem, I will protect you no matter who oppresses you. I love you, Kyla, I hope you give me a chance.” Dominic’s straightforward us.
Kyla couldn’t speak from what she heard from Dominic. She has been looking at Dominic for a long time in case she is just hiding how she feels.
“Are you serious about what you’re saying, Dominic?”
“Of course. Why don’t you want to be us?”
“It’s not like that. Of course, I want to. I’ll admit to you I’ve typed you before in case I’m ashamed to show you because you like Naneth better and you know Naneth is my friend.” Confessed Kyla.
“Ha?! Is that so? That used to be, but now it’s different because I want you.”
“Really?!” Kyla hugged Dominic. She was thrilled because her long dream of being with Dominic had come true.
“So! What? Are we there yet?”
“Yes, we’re Dominic.” They are both thrilled because they have become.

The next day, they announced to the office that they were officially together. Their co-workers and their boss are happy. Although Dominic and Kyla went through a lot, they eventually became too.
“Seriously, Kyla, you thought it was you and sir Dominic. I’ve been crushing sir Dominic for a long time.” Said Sofia.
“Oh! You are? We plan to kidnap sir Dominic from ma’am Kyla?” said Roy.
“It’s not like that! I’m just saying, luckily ma’am, Kyla was chosen by sir Dominic. Sir Dominic is smarter.” Sofia’s defense.
“In fairness, you have a team there. Sir Dominic is a great leader and doesn’t assume because he loves ma’am Kyla, makes fun of her for taking the bullet that should have belonged to ma’am Kyla.” Bea said.
While Kyla was just quietly smiling and listening to their discussion.
“Ay? Is that what happened? Why don’t I know? I’m not the latest there?” Dan groaned.
“Because you’re all about video games, so you’ll leave with up-to-date news.” Roy is a bully. Bea and Sofia laughed.
“Oh! Him, this Roy is serious. I only play once because I’m busy with work.”
“Is Dan busy?” Kyla stepped in.
“Haha! That’s when Ma’am Kyla spoke.” Bea was angry.
“Maybe busy with video games, mam Kyla haha!” Roy was angry again.
“I don’t know about you. I will go to the pantry and get coffee.” Dan left because he could no longer handle the bullying of the group.
Gio called Kyla to her office, and she went immediately. Dominic was already there, sitting and waiting for her.
“Sit down Kyla, so! Now Naneth has seen her parents. We will know what I’m telling you. Thank you for your efforts. Even if I didn’t fulfill my target plan that before she gives birth, I will marry her because what happened is okay. At least we will still get married.” Said Gio.
“Thank you Gio, that mission is over. It is very difficult to lie to innocent people. Fortunately, it’s over.” Dominic replied.
“You’re right, the stress and search for answers are finally over. By the way, Gio, did you go to the precinct to visit Mr. Tan, ah! I mean, your real dad?” Dominic asked.
“Yes, we are talking. I don’t want to see him first because the important thing is that I told him what I wanted to say.”
“Won’t you invite him to your wedding? No matter what happens, he is still your dad.” Kyla asked.
“I know Kyla, but dad Roel is there.”
“But he’s Naneth’s dad! Naneth needs him too.” Dominic said.
“It’s up to you. For now, I won’t have that problem. There is another problem.”
“What’s that again?” Dominic asked.
“I am the real father of Naneth’s unborn child.”
“Haha! What?! Are you kidding Gio? How did that happen? Did you get her drunk?” laughed Dominic.
“Wait! You were the one Naneth called when she got drunk? That she would have called me? She told me she was calling me and someone answered that maybe she didn’t notice who it was because she was drunk.” Kyla worries.
“Oh! Maybe that’s what happened.”
“Yes, that’s what happened. But I had no intention of taking advantage of her. I would have taken her home in case she didn’t want to, so I took her to the hotel. I would have left in case she vomited. I was worried. That’s why she tempted me. I held back in case my body doesn’t want to.” Gio’s story.
“Oh! So, that’s where something happened to you and that child was formed. The question is, does Naneth already know this?” Dominic asked.
“Not yet! So that’s my problem again. I don’t want her to be angry with me because she is angry with the man who made her pregnant.” Gio replied.
“Ay! You said more, I’m sure! Naneth will be angry when she finds out what you did. It would be better for her to go first than the others she will know.” Said Kyla.
The three of them didn’t know that Althea was listening outside. She smiled and walked away from listening to them.
She called Naneth to let her know what she knew.
“Hello, Naneth! How are you? I heard you gave birth. Do you know who the father of that child was?”
“Not Althea, but I won’t waste any more time on you. Can’t you accept Gio will marry me!” disgusted Naneth said as she held her son.
“Oh! So I admire you Naneth, eh! Your courage. Well, I just wanted to tell you that your friends, including Gio, made you alone.”
“What do you mean?”
“I just went to Gio’s office to say hello to him. I didn’t accidentally overhear what your friends were talking about. Do you know Gio is the real father of the child you gave birth to?” said Althea.
“What?! You know if you have nothing else to do in life, don’t bother us anymore.” Naneth replied.
“Oh! Why don’t you believe me? Eh! Don’t talk to them, so you know I’m not lying. What will I gain if I lie to you? It’s up to you as long as I tell you everything.” Althea said, then she cut the line.
Naneth was silent, she thought. What if what Althea said was true? What if Gio is the father of the child he gave birth to?

When Gio got home to their house. Because they live after what happened. Even though she is angry with Gio because of what his real father Gilbert Tan did to her, she is free from his father’s sins even though his father’s blood is flowing to him. It does not mean that he is also a killer.
“Why are you late?” Naneth asked.
“Hon, you know I’m still finishing something in the office. We have a deadline that must be completed on time.” Gio replied.
“Is it a deadline or is the meeting you had a different one?”
“What do you mean? Of course, it’s about work.”
“For work, what does Althea say that she heard something you talked about with my friends Dominic and Kyla?” confronted Naneth.
“Ha?!” Gio was surprised. He thought, did Althea hear what the three of them were talking about? He was just quiet. He did not know what to answer. Naneth will book him. He blames Althea for being mean.
“What?! Answer? Is she right? That you are the father of this child?”
He was still silent and then said he had no choice but to tell Naneth to take care of it.
“Ah! I’m sorry Naneth. Yes, it’s true. I mean, I didn’t take advantage of your weakness. I respect you in case I was tempted by you.” Gio’s defense.
“Wow! It’s like you’re making me feel guilty right now. You know I’m so drunk. You are in a sane mind. You can leave me where you took me.” Disgusted, Naneth replied.
“That’s what I would have done in case I was worried about that. You are vomiting and you have no one in the room.”
“Eh! What about now? You should just let me. Go, call the chambermaid so she can assist me. You didn’t do it because you wanted to.” Naneth replied.
“Don’t think that I have bad intentions toward you. My only fault was that I was tempted. All right, let’s just say I like what happened, but you retaliate as well. Don’t say you don’t know because you know if you still remember no matter how drunk the person is. He/she still knows a little about what he’s doing.” Gio replied.
“That’s enough. Let’s end this. Cancel the marriage. I don’t want to marry you anymore.”
“Don’t be like that Naneth, everyone already knows that we will get married, besides we will also be embarrassed.”
“Why Gio? You’re the only one who likes it, aren’t you? Because you know you are the father of this child and you feel guilty for what you did.”
“I’m sorry Naneth. All right, I’ll admit it’s my fault. Forgive me, please. Just for our son. Do you want our son to have no known father?”
“Shut up Gio. It’s okay that my son doesn’t have a known father as long as he’s not surrounded by liars.” Annoyed, Naneth said. Then go. Upstairs, she laid the child down. She took her and the child’s belongings because she was leaving Gio’s house. Gio followed her. It stopped her. Gio hugged her back.
“Please Naneth! Don’t leave me with our baby. I love you so much. I can’t afford to lose you.” Gio’s plea.
“I need space to think first.” Said Naneth.
They will be married in a few weeks. Will their marriage continue?
Months passed. She still didn’t talk to Gio, and she still didn’t want to talk to him even though Gio was going to her dad at Roel’s house.
Roel and Martha were reunited. Louie was imprisoned because of the many charges against him. He was proven guilty, and he was detained for two weeks after the warrant of arrest was issued to him.
Gilbert has also been charged because his guilt has already been proven. Kyla and Roel were no longer incarcerated because they were even involved in the incidents that took place. They just bailed the amount that will be needed.

Naneth was silent. She thought her parents were right. It was painful for her son, who did not know a father. It was also a long time before she spoke.
“All right mom and dad, for our son I will do what you ask. Don’t let him fool me again or else I will be angry with him.” Naneth replied.

Gio: I promise to be grateful every single day that I am with you. No matter the challenges in life, I know some days will be full of joy and happiness. I promise to appreciate you the best I can. I love you, my love.
Naneth: I stand before you as a woman with no reservations, choosing to spend the rest of my life with a man for whom I have the utmost respect and love. I long to grow with you in mind and spirit and to live together all the days of our lives. I love you, honey.
Then the people in the church applauded. They went to the reception area. Each of their family members had a speech, and it was Roel’s turn to speak.
“Gio, you know, son, I am not related to you, but I love you as a true child. Know how much I have sinned against you, so I apologize to you. It is difficult to forgive, especially when sin is hard to forget. I understand how you feel, but I’m still grateful that you didn’t feel sorry for my daughter. Instead, you loved her and you could do everything. Now I have a surprise for you.”
Flashback…
“Jean, maybe it’s time for you to introduce yourself to your son. He is keen to see you. I know he will be happy when he sees you at his wedding.”
“You are right Roel, thank you so much for everything you did for my son. And at least you’ve recovered from me. Haha!” laughed Jean.
“I would like to tell you and introduce you to your mother, Jean Cruz.” They all turned to the entrance, and all saw Jean, the mother of Gio, who was Kyla’s auntie.
They were all surprised, especially Gio. He did not think that in a long time he would see his mother. She cried with great joy. Naneth calmed her down and Naneth also cried.

Kyla also approached her auntie.
“Auntie?! You remember me?” “Haha! Of course, Kyla, come here, your beautiful child. Sorry for what happened to sister Cecilia, but I know she is happy now because we met again. Don’t worry, we won’t be separated.” Jean said cheerfully. Kyla hugged him.
“Yes, auntie Jean, your suffering is over, plus you have a grandchild right away. Haha!”
“Haha yes, you said it’s a good gift for my return.”
The wedding ended happily, and the family had a picture-taking with their friends and co-workers.

Six months later, Dominic and Kyla got married. They were happy with what they told their friends and co-workers.
Robin has also received Robert as his real father. Althea and Robin have also met as siblings. Althea understood her father and why Robin had become a sibling. But Robert returns to America with Althea and Robin is next.

“How are you, Gilbert?” Gilbert was surprised by what he saw.

“Yes Gilbert, are you surprised? I don’t need to explain it to you. I just want to hear from your mouth your apology to me and your son and Naneth.” Said Jean.
“I know how painful what I did to all of you. I am already sorry and I am asking for forgiveness. You can forgive me all. I deserve to be here now, so I will accept my punishment. It is difficult to apologize or forgive, but I hope the day will come when you will forgive me.” Gilbert said sadly.
“You are right, Gilbert, so maybe the next time we come back, we will forgive you. You are also sorry for all our mistakes.” That was Jean’s last message to Gilbert. Naneth and Gio stopped talking and just left.
Even though Naneth and Gio’s family are full of secrets love still prevails. Naneth’s life has not been easy as her life is like a roller coaster, but she sacrifices a lot for her family and also for her love for Gio. She is a strong ex-wife who, despite the many challenges she went through, still stood firm. She was despised by destiny, but because of the surrounding people who gave her support and love; she went on with life and has been happy until now. She also forgave those who sinned against her.
