Chapter 28 Ratih And Parang Kati
Harvest season is almost here. The yellow rice fields are unsightly. Bare-chested children were running around screaming to chase away the birds that disturbed their rice fields. The joy that should come when the rice harvest season is almost here. The cheerful world should have been clearly defined at that time. But only greedy and greedy humans make this world gloomy and drenched in blood and tears.
The joy of the children cannot be felt by their parents. The farmers who were tired after cultivating the fields, could only sit languidly in the hut. Their faces were gloomy with sad eyes, looking at the rice fields that stretched wide. This very contrasting atmosphere did not escape the attention of a young man who had been sitting on a rock.
The young man was dressed in a waistcoat with a sword slung across his back. His eyes glanced at the cheerful children, then turned towards the farmer who sat in the huts with a languid face without passion. Some of them sat in groups discussing something. The youth who was still sitting on the boulder
It turns out to be Rangga. Her long hair was fluttering with the wind. His attention continued towards the lakes, while the river water flowing beneath him continued to ripple as if he didn't care about the atmosphere around him.
"They should be happy because soon they will reap the fruits of their labor. But, why do they seem unhappy?" Ranga muttered softly.
The Rajawali Sakti's eyes now turned to look at the women who were washing in the river, not far from where they were. Their faces also did not depict joy at all. There is no laughter as it should be. Rangga's lips smiled when he heard two girls chattering while glancing at him.
"Ratih, handsome too huh?"
"Who?" asked a young woman with long hair who turned out to be named Ratih.
"That's it, sitting on the rock." Ratih turned to the Swordsman
Sacred Eagle. At the same time, Rangga or the Sacred Eagle Warrior was staring at him. For a moment their eyes met. Ruth quickly turned her face away.
"Why, why is your face so red?"
"That's it, ah. Don't talk about it anymore, Komala."
"Fancy huh?" Komala demanded teasingly.
Ruth just smiled shyly. Out of the corner of his eye, he glanced at Rangga who was still looking at him. All of a sudden his blood froze. His heart was pounding harder than before.
"Ah, he is indeed handsome like a prince. But..., does a prince really want to wear clothes like that?" Ratih whispered in her heart. Several times his gaze fixed on Rangga through the corner of his eye.
Unknowingly, it seemed that Komala had been watching him all along. He just smiled seeing Ratih who was embarrassed. Ratih is indeed the most beautiful girl among the other girls in this Ganggang Village. Moreover, he is the son of a village head. He explained, Ratih was like a flower blooming among the withered flowers.
"Let's go home. Look, the sun is already high," said Ratih.
Komala shrugged. Then he carried his laundry basket, and followed Ratih. His eyes glanced at the direction where Rangga was sitting. But his heart suddenly gasped when his eyes no longer saw Rangga there. Come on soon
rushed to follow Ratih who was already on the bank of the river.
"Ratih..., Ratih, wait!" call Komala.
"What's wrong?" asked Ratih as she stopped walking.
"He's not there anymore."
"Who?" Pretend to be. But his eyes immediately glanced at the direction where Rangga had been sitting.
"Ah!"
The two girls were dumbstruck because Rangga seemed to have disappeared into the river. Ratih's eyes roamed around, but there was no sign at all that Rangga was hiding. After making sure there was nothing, he immediately turned and walked away. Komala followed behind at a quickened pace.
Their steps had arrived at a village road that led to the house. They really speed up their pace as if they just saw the devil. No words came out of their mouths. Everything is mute. But suddenly their steps stopped when they reached a bend in the road. There, Rangga was standing with his back.
"Ratih..." Komala shuddered in fear and took cover behind Ratih.
Ratih looked at Rangga's back who was standing with his back to her. Slowly this young man turned around. Rangga seemed a little surprised when he saw two girls standing behind him.
"Oh, sorry. Did I get in your way?" Rangga's soft and polite voice was heard.
"If you feel it, please step aside," Ratih's voice was a bit curt.
Ranga just smiled. He stepped closer and stopped about three steps in front of Ratih. In his heart, he also admired the beauty of this girl. Ratih was a little uncomfortable being looked at like that. He fixed the cloth that covered his shoulders and chest. But the cloth could not hide the white skin on the neck and face.
"I just came to this village. If you don't mind, can I ask for your help?" still heard the gentle voice of Rangga.
Ratih turned to Komala. "What is the name of this village?" ask
Ranga.
"Ganggang Village," said Komala, who gradually lost her fear after hearing Rangga's soft and polite voice.
"Sorry, we have to go home soon," said Ratih.
Komala was quickly pulled by Komala's hand, and walked away. Rangga didn't stop him, he just stared at the two girls who had passed. Her eyes stared fixedly at Ratih's slightly open back.
"Hm..." He mumbled incoherently.
Dusk was just creeping down when ten horses galloped across the dusty road. The front horse was ridden by a man with a full bearded face with a long scar across his right cheek. The clothes worn are very beautiful and luxurious. Behind him, nine uniformed horsemen followed him.
Several residents who were on the road immediately pulled over and bowed when the horses passed in front of him. They continued to gallop quickly leaving the dust flying behind them. It was clear that they were heading to the Ganggang Village Chief's house. The house was in the middle of the village, and was the largest of the houses.
The bearded, scarlet man who was at the forefront, immediately jumped off his horse when he arrived in front of the house of the Head of Ganggang Village. The jump is quite beautiful and light,
indicating his body's light science is quite high.
"Ki Jagabaya...!" the scarlet man screamed thunderously.
An old man with white hair and mustache rushed out of the big house at the same time as the nine people got off their horses. The old man was bent over to the horsemen who had stood proudly on hips.
"Oh, Master Parang Kati. I didn't think you would come so soon," croaked the voice of an old man whose name turned out to be Ki Jagabaya. He was the Head of Algae Village.
The tall and scary bearded scarlet man just snorted. His steps were heavy approaching Ki Jagabaya. His eyes then glanced around. Immediately several residents closed the doors and windows of their homes. In an instant the situation in the village became desolate.
"Your Majesty Prabu Salya ordered this village to immediately pay tribute right now!" snapped this bearded scarlet man named Parang Kati.
"Ah..." Ki Jagabaya gaped at that. "How could that be, sir. They haven't harvested yet, meanwhile."
"I don't care! His Majesty Prabu Salya wants you to collect tribute right now!" Parang Kati cut quickly with a deep booming voice.
"But."
"Do you want to try to disobey?!" snapped Parang Kati. "Hey!"
Regardless of who he was facing, Parang Kati raised his hand.
Plaque!
Ki Jagabaya shrieked. The emaciated old body staggered, instantly collapsing with blood dripping from the corners of its lips.
Just as Ki Jagabaya was about to get up, Parang Kati had kicked him. Again, the decrepit old body tumbled over and rolled as far as two spears. How hard Parang Kati's kick was, it made Ki Jagabaya short of breath. His eyes were dizzy and his head was spinning.
"Father...!" suddenly there was a loud scream.
Ratih ran fast and ran towards her father who was lying on the ground. Blood was trickling down from the corners of his lips. The girl immediately helped her father sit up. With the hem of his shirt, he wiped the blood from his father's mouth.
"Cruel!" Ratih snorted angrily.
Her sharp eyes stared at Parang Kati.
Seeing a beautiful girl inIn front of him, Parang Kati was stunned by the Adam's apple going up and down. His tongue stuck out licking his own thick lips. "He he he..., it turns out the old manbangkamentoringthepearl enchanting," Parang Kati chuckled
while swallowing his saliva.
"Humph! Robber! Why don't you just kill us all?" Ratih growled. His eyes grew wider and sharper.
"Ah, apparently this beautiful rabbit can be fierce too," Parang Kati teased while chuckling.
The nine people standing behind Parang Kati also laughed at the sight which was actually not funny. Their eyes were full of lust looking at Ratih's beautiful face, who had a ferocious face. In the eyes of all of them, Ratih's ferocious face was even more beautiful and exciting. Being laughed at like that, Ratih grew even more angry.
"Ratih, don't…," prevented Ki Jagabaya when his daughter got up.
"Humph! They must be taught a lesson, Father!" Ratih snorted unable to control her anger.
"Rath...!"
The girl no longer heed her father's calls. He had stepped closer to Parang Kati. His hand grabbed the bottom of the cloth and tucked it away. Parang Kati and the other nine people held their breath when the beautiful white calves were exposed. And how wide their eyes were when they saw black pangsi pants clinging to wrap those beautiful legs.
Ratih wrapped her cloth around her waist. Then her hands moved up to curl her long hair. His gaze was sharp on Parang Kati who had wronged his father. This beautiful girl's blood was seething, so that it no longer mattered who she faced. Even though they are courtiers of the Parakan Kingdom.
Drag, cring!
Suddenly Ratih took out two daggers from behind the folds of her clothes. Two silvery beams of light reflected from the dagger's eye licked by the evening sun. Parang Kati jumped back two steps. Not afraid, but surprised to see the beautiful girl in front of him was ready to threaten with two daggers.
"Ratih, don't. Stop it, son," Ki Jagabaya limped trying to calm his daughter's emotional outburst.
"No, Father. They are no longer humans, but animals! They no longer deserve to live in this world!" said Ratih without turning around.
Ki Jagabaya knew very well the stubborn nature of his son. He couldn't stop her anymore. The frail old man could only stand in dismay. This worry was justified because Parang Kati was King Salya's confidant. Of course, the level of intelligence also needs to be taken into account.
Even though Ratih is just a village girl, since she was five years old she has been taught various arts of kanuragan and supernatural powers by her uncle. It's a coincidence that his uncle is a professor at the hermitage on Mount Lawu.
"Leave this village, or you all die like animals!" Ratih threatened not to be kidding.
"He he he...," Parang Kati just chuckled. His attitude underestimated this beautiful girl
"Phuih!" Ratih spit out her spit full of hatred.
A burst of spit, accompanied by deep exertion, rolled down and hit Parang Kati's face.
Very hard and spicy, to the extent that Parang Kati looked up. Instantly his face flushed with anger.
"Demon! Rip your mouth off!" growled Parang Kati.
With the hem of his shirt, he wiped the spit that had trickled down his face. With an angry grunt, pulled by his belt which turned out to be a whip.
The entire whip rod is a fathom long, filled with sharp fine thorns. At the end, there are fine hairs that are tied like a horse's tail.
Ctar!
***
Ratih can feel the greatness of the whip when it flutters through the air. His voice was like thunder in broad daylight, but gave off a bone-chilling chill. The girl immediately crossed her arms across her chest. Instantly he mobilized pure air to fight the increasingly piercing cold.
"Hhh, you're just showing off your toy sheep here," Ratih sneered"Wewe Gombel! Feel the whip
my magic!" Parang Kati snorted fiercely.
After saying that, Parang Kati shouted loudly
whipped his magic whip. A thunderous and deafening sound resounded several times. The tip of the whip that resembled a horse's tail instantly stiffened.
Parang Kati is very good at playing the whip. As if it had only eyes, the tip of the whip moved to target the deadly parts of the body. Exactly a snake that was eyeing its prey. But after three moves, not a single hair of the whip touched the girl's skin. This made Parang Kati furious.
"Demon! Don't be sorry if your beautiful face is damaged!" growled Parang Kati.
"Do it if you can, you idiot!" Ratih replied mockingly.
Parang Kati's ears got hotter. Immediately issued the 'Death Whip', a move that is quite dangerous. From the end of the whip bursts of sparks which shot towards Ratih.
But it seemed the girl was taking it easy dodging every attack that was aiming for her life. The two dagger blades in his hand flashed to disrupt every direction of the opponent's whip tip. And on one occasion, Ratih deliberately allowed it
the tip of the whip slashed toward his chest. Truck!
Unexpectedly, the tip of the whip, which almost grazed his chest, was caught by his two daggers. It seemed that Ratih had quickly closed her two daggers. Parang Kati was confused trying to pull the mainstay of the weapon that was stuck at the end. Even now the clamp is getting stronger and tighter.
"Uh!" Machete Kati exhaled her inner strength while pulling her flagship whip.
Ratih, who was deploying her 'Steel Claw' style, did not give her opponent another chance to release her weapon from the grip of the two daggers.
"Yes...!"
Suddenly the girl screamed loudly as she threw her body fast, with her legs straight ahead. Ratih's movements were so fast that Parang Kati gasped. There was no time to dodge, because they were only one fathom away.
Parang Kati was forced to let go of her right hand's grip on the whip, then quickly fended off Ratih's leg which was aiming for the head. But apparently, the thunder kick just now was just a trick. When Parang Kati's right hand was raised, suddenly Ratih
jerked the tip of the whip that was still caught in the dagger.
"Ah!" Parang Kati shrieked.
The left hand that had been holding the whip jerked as if it were being pulled by a thousand elephants. Parang Kati's body immediately swayed forward. Ratih used this opportunity quickly. Released the clasps of the two daggers, then his right hand moved fast like lightning.
"Ikh!" Cras!
Parang Kati gasped in surprise. He had tried to knock himself down, but the tip of Ratih's dagger had torn his right shoulder faster. Blood was flowing from the long wound. Machete Kati, who was still rolling on the ground, immediately jumped back on her feet firmly.
"Demon!" snorted Parang Kati furiously.
This is the first time that Parang Kati has been tricked by a beautiful and seductive young girl. The face of the man with the scarlet red. Her eyes widened, bright red as if she was about to devour Ratih's body, who was standing full of a mocking smile.
"Attack! Chop up that crazy girl!" ordered Parang Kati.
Immediately, the nine people who had just been watching, moved to surround Ratih. In their hands each held a long, gleaming sword. Meanwhile, Parang Kati bandaged his wound with a torn piece of his own clothes. His mouth was still hissing with anger. It was really unexpected that a girl who was taken for granted, was actually able to embarrass herself in front of her own men.
Trang, trang, trang!
The soldiers of the Parakan Kingdom have started attacking Ratih. Sweat started to roll down her pretty red face. He really had to drain his strength to face the nine chosen warriors. Their swordsmanship is fine too. Their martial arts knowledge is pretty average. It's no wonder that Ratih is a bit overwhelmed too.
Several times the swords of the soldiers almost tore his body. However, this girl who graduated from Mount Lawu Padepokan was still able to avoid every attack that tightly surrounded her. In fact, not infrequently reply with a surprising attack. In no time, the unequal battle had progressed to more than five moves.
"Uh, I didn't expect it. It turns out that Jagabaya has a beautiful child who is so tough," whispered Parang Kati's heart.
But this time Parang Kati was able to smile again. It turned out that after ten moves, Ratih looked tired. His strength had been drained when he fought Parang Kati earlier. And now he has to fight nine warriors. Moreover, their sword play is quite shrewd and dangerous.
Little by little Ratih began to be pushed. The sweat was flowing profusely down his body. The girl's breath began to sound loud and hunted. His movements were also not as agile as before. However, his punches and kicks are still hard and dangerous. The rest of his energy had to be increasingly drained again.
"Shameless, ganging up on a girl!"
Suddenly a loud sound echoed, as if it was coming from all around. Immediately the fight stopped. The nine soldiers jumped back two steps.
"Rotten rat! Who are you?!" shouted Parang Kati.
"Embarrassing!" a loud voice echoed again.
Parang Kati was sure that the sound was coming from someone who was in one place. But his voice came from all over the wind. A sign that the owner of the voice is a magician who has quite perfect inner strength. Who is the one with the echoing voice?
