Chapter 86 Complaining about Miracles
Actually Ki Pungkur did not agree with the plan. It's too dangerous to involve a Divine Eagle Warrior! Even though he had never clashed head-on, he knew very well all of his actions. Meanwhile, the loss of Sanggabawung and Sangga Kelana made him have other thoughts. He was worried that the Sacred Eagle Warrior didn't go to the Crater of Hell, but ambushed him at the edge of the village and killed off the mercenaries one by one.
Ki Pungkur tilted his head slightly,
when one of them whispered something from behind. Not long after, Ki Pungkur nodded his head. Meanwhile, the young man, dressed in bright red and armed with a machete at his waist, kept sneaking around among the residents.
"What is it?" asked Ki Karangseda.
"Most of the martial arts figures have left," said Ki Pungkur, telling him what the young man had whispered.
"Hm..." Ki Karangseda muttered, his forehead slightly furrowed.
"Around the border of Hell's Crater, there are many corpses lying around. They are people of martial arts," continued Ki Pungkur.
Ki Karangseda stared intently at his sister. Really dead, he was shocked to hear the news. While Telasih looked calm just sitting in his chair. Even his lips seemed to curl into a smile at the news.
"I'm sure, the Sacred Eagle Warrior is still alive. Even now, not a few of your mercenaries have left the limits of Hell's Crater. Maybe only a few are left," Ki Pungkur continued reporting.
"You look for that warrior in the Hell's Crater, right now!" ordered Ki Karangseda in a muffled voice.
"Crazy! Why don't you just stick your knife in my chest?!" snorted Ki Pungkur angrily.
"Don't be stupid, Pungkur! Everything could fall apart if that warrior is still alive!"
"Humph! You want to enjoy yourself, Big Brother. I warned you from the start, don't bring up the name of the Sacred Eagle Warrior! He's not someone to be messed with!" grumbled Ki Pungkur.
"Right now you are responsible for village security, Pungkur."
"But not to deal with your personal matters!"
"Knock!" Ki Karangseda snapped so surprised to hear the words that sounded curt.
Ki Pungkur stared intently at Ki Karangseda. Then he got up and walked away without another word. Ki Karangseda was about to give chase, but Telasih prevented him. And with a grunt, he sat back down.
"Leave it alone, maybe he still feels lost!" said Telasih trying to comfort.
"Her attitude is getting weird. I guess, not just because
lost two of his favorite students," Ki Karangseda shook his head. He didn't understand Ki Pungkur's attitude which made him hate him.
"Ah, come on! You'll get used to it later. He's just blowing off his emotions!" comfort Telasih.
But was what the Coral Island Demon Woman really said? Was it only because of the loss of two of his favorite students that Ki Pungkur hated his older brother? All of this becomes the burden of Ki Karangseda's questions. He still wasn't sure that his sister had changed just because of the loss. There must be something else that Ki Pungkur was thinking about.
***
Meanwhile the entertainment program on stage was over. Looks like Ki Karangseda rose from his seat. He immediately stepped slowly with his head upturned, showing his authority One by one his feet up the steps of the stage. For a moment he rolled his eyes.
The atmosphere became silent as soon as Ki Karangseda was on stage. The old man in elegant clothes stretched out to salute all the visitors who thronged the yard.
"Thank you to those of you who have come here to witness the inauguration of the new Kali Anget village head," said Ki Karangseda, his voice resounding because he was accompanied by inner strength.
The atmosphere is still silent. Meanwhile, all the guests' eyes were fixed on the old man on the stage. While the residents who stood behind the rows of invited seats, seemed lazy.
"You need to know, that Ki Jatirekso has fled, because he could not overcome the riots that hit this village. And I and Ki Pungkur have managed to overcome it, so that this village that we love is calm as before. However, because a village is not if there is no one to lead, then I decided to become the temporary head of the village until today. And with the blessing of all of you, from today I officially become..."
"Ha ha ha...!" suddenly there was a sound of thunderous laughter echoing from all directions, interrupting Ki Karangseda's words.
Immediately, things got rowdy. While the sound of loud laughter accompanied by perfect inner strength continues to echo. It seemed that Ki Karangseda was looking around, looking for the source of the laughter.
"Diaaam...!" Ki Karangseda snapped loudly, overpowering the noise and laughter.
Suddenly things became quiet again. Ki Karangseda's voice was so loud it was like thunder during the day. While his eyes roamed around. Telasih was already standing beside him.
Twenty people armed with machetes in hand, immediately took their places circling the stage. They wore bright red uniforms, and long large machetes across their chests. It turned out that they were Ki Pungkur's students who had been deliberately deployed to guard against all eventualities.
"Don't believe his words! He is nothing more than a robber who must be eliminated!" again a loud voice echoed.
"Who are you? Get out!" Ki Karangseda snapped angrily.
"I, the person you made a scapegoat!"
"Rajawali Sakti...," sighed Ki Karangseda, his voice trembled.
The atmosphere in the courtyard of the mansion was getting tense! The sound that echoed without any form, made the residents shuffle and move away from the stage. Even some of the invitees had left their seats, not wanting to get involved in the matter. Now only a few invitees who had enough guts were still sitting in their seats.
"You have to take responsibility for your actions, Ki
Karangseda!" The disembodied voice was heard again. "Get out, coward!" Ki Karangseda snapped. "I'm here,"
Ki Karangseda jumped in surprise as he turned around. A handsome young man wearing a white vest and armed with a sword with a hilt in the shape of a bird's head was perched on a tree branch not far from the stage.
"Rajawali Sakti..." muttered Ki Karangseda, his voice slightly trembling.
"I came to surrender my head, Ki Karangseda. I want the gift you promised," said Rangga calmly.
"Setaan...!" growled Ki Karangseda no longer able to control his anger.
Instantly he thrust his hand forward. A silvery light immediately shot out from his open palm. The beam flew like lightning and hit the tree that Rangga was tangled in. And then there was the sound of a huge explosion, as soon as the beam hit the tree. Instantly, the tree that Rangga was holding broke into pieces.
"Hebaaat ...," praised Rangga who suddenly was on stage.
Ki Karangseda was immediately aghast. Hurry him
turn over. He didn't expect that the Sacred Eagle Warrior was already behind him. While Telasih only observed the handsome face that stood upright on the edge of the stage. His heart was immediately fascinated by the handsome face of Rangga.
"You promised a thousand pieces of gold for my head, right? Well! Now I come to ask for the gift," Rangga's voice was very calm, but his tone was mocking.
Ki Karangseda gritted his jaw to hold back his anger. His eyes darted right and left looking for his sister. But Ki Pungkur was nowhere to be seen.
"I give you my head, but you have to take it
alone," Rangga said again calmly, even though his tone was challenging.
"Demon! You should be dead already!" growled Ki Karangseda.
"Too bad, I actually delivered your order myself."
"Phuih!" Ki Karangseda spit out his spit. As fast as lightning Ki Karangseda pulled out his twin knife.
And without further ado, he immediately lunged, screaming loudly. While Rangga only tilted his body slightly to the left, while his hand was raised and touched Ki Karangseda's left hand, which stabbed the knife into the neck.
Truck!
Ki Karangseda was shocked to death, because his hand tingled when he collided with Rangga's hand. As fast as lightning he jumped backwards, and prepared his next attack.
"Done, you! Yeaaah...!" shouted Ki Karangseda. "Hey!"
***
Ki Karangseda doesn't want to be half-hearted anymore. He immediately deployed his flagship move, namely the 'Iron Fist' stance. A stance that in his youth was unmatched.
Meanwhile, the Sacred Eagle Warrior, who didn't expect to be hit with such a powerful attack, only used the 'Eagle Claw' stance. But he was too late to deploy it, so when a powerful punch from Ki Karangseda lodged in his body, Rangga was only able to survive. But the result was fatal, because his body immediately fell and hit the stage board until it fell apart.
"Ha ha ha...!" Ki Karangseda burst out laughing
see his opponent buried under the stage with broken boards messy.
But suddenly Ki Karangseda's laughter stopped. The Rajawali Sakti warrior bounced outward and cutely landed on the stage. It didn't look like he was injured in the slightest by Ki Karangseda's punch.
"Crazy! What knowledge did he use?" snorted Ki Karangseda. "Your shot was great, Ki Karangseda," said Rangga
sincere.
"Phuih! Don't be proud yet, brat! That's only half of it!" growled Ki Karangseda.
"Bring out all your cleverness!" Challenge Ranga.
"Accept your death, Sacred Eagle Warrior. Yeaaah...!" Ki Karangseda put out all his skills in his flagship style.
Rangga, who had felt how powerful the old man's punching skill was, immediately used the magic 'Cakra Buana Sukma'. He no longer wanted to take fatal risks.
"Aji 'Cakra Buana Sukmaa'...!" shouted Rangga loudly. "Hiyaa...!"
Ki Karangseda immediately lunged at the Rajawali Sakti warrior while spreading his arms straight ahead. While Rangga just raised his hand, with his legs spread a bit wide. Immediately two hands clasped together. Ki Karangseda really gasped when the Rajawali Sakti Warrior's hand released a sparkling blue light. And he was even more surprised when he felt a powerful force sucking his strength. Instantly he immediately withdrew his hand that was tightly attached to both of Rangga's palms.
"Hic!" Ki Karangseda tried his best to pull his hand away.
The more he exerted his strength, the stronger the sucking power from the aji 'Cakra Buana Sukma' became. Ki Karangseda's entire face immediately turned bright red. Sweat dripped down his neck. While the blue light began to creep around his hands, while his strength was increasingly being drained.
Seeing Ki Karangseda shaking all over his body, five people who were on guard around the stage, jumped to help. Then they simultaneously slashed their machetes at Rangga's body. But not the least bit unmoved. So that his body became an easy target of five machetes.
"Aaaaah...!"
Suddenly the five men who attacked Rangga, jumped as soon as their machetes hit Rangga's body. Instantly they died with their chests broken. It turned out that without them realizing it, Ki Karangseda's 'Iron Fist' knowledge which was being drained, turned to attack them.
Watching five people collapse at once, those who were still alive instantly took a thousand steps. But bad luck, just as they moved, from within the horde of residents, four figures appeared blocking them.
They are four brothers who from the beginning suspected that Ki Karangseda was the main mastermind. So without further thought, Suryadenta and his three younger siblings immediately attacked fifteen of Ki Pungkur's students. Instantly a fierce battle broke out near the stage.
Meanwhile, Ki Karangseda's condition was increasingly critical. He had completely lost all his strength. Even now part of his body was covered in blue light that continued to radiate from Rangga's hands.
"Telasih... help me..." groaned Ki Karangseda softly.
Hearing that, Telasih immediately let go of the shawl wrapped around his waist. But at that time, a blue shadow suddenly slid towards the woman. It turned out that in front of Telasih was already standing Pandan Wangi with a death fan in his hand. Pandan Wangi, whose nickname is the Death Fan, immediately beat his steel fan.
"I am your opponent, demonic woman!" challenged Pandan Wangi cold and cynical in his voice.
"Heh! Yesterday afternoon's kid, dare you challenge me!"
Telasih snorted angrily.
"And you deserve to be in the grave!"
"Bastard! Take my magic shawl!" "Hey!"
***
Around the stage, now really has become a battlefield. Four powerful figures fought each other on stage, while Suryadenta and his three younger siblings faced around fifteen of Ki Pungkur's students. Meanwhile, the invitees present had already fled.
A little to the side on the stage, you can see the blue light still covering Ki Karangseda's body. Meanwhile, Rangga slowly started to move away, but the blue light from the aji 'Cakra Buana Sukma' still radiated from his hand. At that time, Ki Karangseda was helpless. And at that moment Rangga stamped his hand hard.
"Aaahh...!" Ki Karangseda screamed shrillly.
The scream was followed by a loud explosion. You can see Ki Karangseda's body slowly crumbling into flour. Rangga withdrew his spell. The blue light immediately disappeared from view. For a moment he took a deep breath seeing his opponent's body had turned into a pile of flour.
"Hiya...! Hiyaa...!"
Ranga turned her head. At that time, Pandan Wangi was knocked back by the death scarf of the Karang Island Devil Woman. Pandan Wangi's body decayed and fell to the ground. From his mouth spouted thick black blood.
"Demon woman, I'm your opponent! Hiyaaa...!" shouted Rangga loudly.
"Humph!" The Coral Island Female Demon snorted as she tilted her body slightly to the left.
Quickly his hand whipped his death shawl towards the Magical Eagle Warrior who was rushing towards him. But Rangga deftly bent his body, and fell profusely from above the head of the Karang Island Demon Woman.
"Ikh!"
The Coral Island Female Demon was shocked. She immediately threw herself down and rolled a few times before jumping up to her feet. Rangga, who had just set his feet on the ground, had to jump again as soon as the demonic woman's death shawl slid back towards him.
The battle between Rangga and the Demon Woman of Karang Island was exciting. Steps passed quickly. While Pandan Wangi just watched while healing his internal wounds by channeling pure air throughout his blood path.
"Crazy! This one kid is really great!" snorted the Coral Island Devil Female in her heart.
The demonic woman twirled her magic shawl, and
a miracle happened. The shawl curled stiffly into a staff-like weapon. Rangga also did not want to be left behind, he immediately pulled out the Rajawali Sakti heirloom sword from his sheath. Bright blue light instantly refracted from the drawn sword.
"Hiya...!" "Yeah...!"
Again, the fight was getting fiercer. Rangga was also amazed by the prowess of his opponent's scarf, which had now stiffened into a death stick. Several times his sword collided with the demonic woman's weapon, but Rangga felt as if he was slicing through a lump of springy rubber.
"I must use the 'Sword Splitting Soul'!" muttered Rangga in his heart.
While he dodged the demonic woman's attacks,
Rangga immediately changed his style to the 'Soul Breaking Sword' style. And when the demonic woman's weapon was aimed at her head, the Sacred Roc Warrior quickly raised his sword to meet the attack. And....
Cras! "Hey!"
Coral Island Demon Woman was shocked to see the weapon
flagship broke into two parts. Not to mention the shock was gone, suddenly the foot of the Magical Eagle warrior. flying towards the chest. The demonic woman hastily pulled her body back, but unexpectedly, Rangga spun quickly while drawing her sword forward.
The Coral Island Demon woman had no time to dodge anymore. The tip of the Eagle Swordsman's sword managed to graze her right shoulder. Blood gushed from a deep and long wound. When the demonic woman felt pain in her shoulder, as fast as lightning, Rangga waved his sword, and....
"Ah!" The Coral Island Demon woman screamed stifledly while clutching her chest which was pierced by the Rajawali Sakti's sword. Blood gushed out from the stabbed chest. A moment later the demonic woman's body stiffened with wide eyes. The blue light vanished again as soon as the Magic Eagle's sword entered its shell again.
"Kakang," Pandan Wangi approached Rangga.
"Are you all right, Panda?" asked Ranga.
"No, it's just that I have to stay alone for two days. The woman's death blow made my chest tight," Pandan Wangi admitted.
Rangga gave a smile and patted the girl's shoulder
That,
"You'd better just rest, recover your body condition first," said Rangga softly.
"But they, Kakang…," Pandan Wangi watched the fight that was still going on.
"I think the situation will be resolved soon," said Rangga.
***
Meanwhile, the battle between Ki Pungkur's students and Suryadenta and his three younger siblings had also ended. All the people dressed in bright red had been bathed in blood.
Just as the four siblings jumped onto the stage, Ki Jatirekso and Jaka Wulung came out of the house. The appearance of Ki Jatirekso was greeted with joy by the residents who had been expecting his village head to reappear. He immediately raised his hand with dignity. Suddenly the noise disappeared and silence returned.
"The chaos in Kali Anget Village is over, and I thank all of you who are still loyal to me. From now on, you don't need to worry anymore. People from the martial arts jungle will not appear here again!" said Ki Jatirekso enthusiastically and with authority.
Immediately a roar followed by applause exploded as soon as Ki Jatirekso finished his short speech. Then the old man, who still looked dashing, approached Rangga and Pandan Wangi.
"I would be very happy if you two would stay here for a few days," invited Ki Jatirekso in gratitude.
"Thank you," was all he could say. "What about Ki Pungkur? He's nowhere to be seen
earlier," Pandan Wangi asked suddenly.
"Ah! Right, that person is very dangerous!" Ki Jatirekso flinched as if reminded.
"I think he went back to his school in the Gorge Valley," said Suryadenta.
"Where's that?" Pandan Wangi asked.
"Not far from here, just outside the southeast village border," said Tirtadenta.
"We'd better go there, Kakang. When cutting a tree, you have to get to the roots, so that it doesn't grow anymore," Pandan Wangi said excitedly.
"Ki Pungkur has students whose intelligence is quite high," said Ki Jatirekso without belittling the meaning of the two warriors.
"Me and my brothers will help, Ki!" cried Suryadenta quickly.
"I believe. You guys can definitely handle it. But I don't want any more victims on our side. There have been enough victims, and I want this village to be calm for a while," said Ki Jatirekso giving reasons.
"All right then. Pandan and I will go there early tomorrow morning," said Rangga, able to understand Ki Jatirekso's meaning.
The old man smiled happily. His admiration grew even more for the young swordsman. In addition to a very high level of intelligence, can also understand the meaning of figurative words. While his gentle and polite demeanor adds to his sympathy.
"Jaka, ask some residents to help take care of the bodies," ordered Ki Jatirekso.
"Fine, Father," said Jaka Wulung.
"Come on, let's just rest inside," said Ki Jatirekso. "You too, Suryadenta."
"Ah! Let us take care of the bodies with Jaka Wulung, Ki," said Suryadenta, refusing softly.
"Come on, you guys need to rest too, right?" Pandan Wangi insisted.
"Okay!"
***
Before the sun rose, the Sacred Eagle Warrior, the Deadly Fan, Jaka Wulung and four brothers, were getting ready to leave the village head's residence. They all rode horses, in order to get to their destination faster.
A few moments later, seven horses were galloping through the early morning hours, where some people were still sleeping in their dreams. Their goal was clear, namely the Valley of the Gorges. Where there is a silat college led by Ki Pungkur. Not so long ago, they had crossed the village boundary to the southeast. And they kept galloping their horses down a sloping cliff with knee-deep grass.
"That's his hermitage!" cried Tirtadenta pointing towards the building which was surrounded by a tall fence of fig tree logs.
It seemed that the hermitage was deserted. There was no one to be seen around the building. Rangga raised his hand, and they immediately stopped some distance from the building that resembled a small fortress. Rangga observed his surroundings for a moment, then deployed his knowledge of distinguishing motion and sound.
"It was quiet like no one was there," Pandan Wangi muttered, also exerting the same knowledge as Rangga.
"Maybe this is a trap," he snapped
Jaka Wulung.
"You guys wait here, I'll check," said Rangga. "Be careful, Ki Pungkur is very cunning!" Mayadenta
warned.
Rangga just smiled, then jumped off the back of his horse. His movement was so fast and light, making him fly away towards the building. But when he almost got to the front of the building, suddenly hundreds of arrows rained down on him.
Rangga was shocked half to death. He hastily issued the 'Eagle Wings Splitting Mega'. You can see his hands stretched wide, moving quickly to block the arrows that came like rain. His body was jumping so fast, that it looked like he was above the arrows.
"Bastard! Sneaky!" growled Ranga.
Seeing this situation, Jaka Wulung immediately chased his horse. Meanwhile, Pandan Wangi, who was nearby, could no longer prevent it. In fact, he also jumps and exerts fast running knowledge that has almost reached the stage of perfection. Meanwhile, Suryadenta and his younger siblings also did not want to be left behind, they immediately turned their horses around and followed.
"Return...!" shouted Rangga as soon as he saw his friends approaching.
But Rangga's warning was ignored again. They kept going forward to help Rangga. Realizing this, Rangga immediately took out the Rajawali Sakti sword from his sheath. Immediately a blue light flashed brightly around the place. Rangga then performed the spell 'Cakra Buana Sukma'. A spell that is very reliable.
"Aji 'Cakra Buana Sukma'...!" shouted Rangga loudly.
Instantly he rubbed the Prong Eagle sword with the palm of his left hand, and then a blue light appeared to swirl around the tip of the blade. Immediately he pointed the tip of the Sakti Rajawali sword at the building that was like a small fortress. Instantly, a ray of blue light was seen rushing towards the building, and then a loud explosion was heard, followed by the burning of the building.
Not long after, people dressed in red ran out screaming trying to put out the fire that burned their bodies. The fire blazed more and more to devour the building. The sound of crackling wood burning adds heat to the atmosphere. For a moment Rangga stepped back to reduce the range of heat. Meanwhile his friends
came out of hiding and approached Rangga. "Did you see Ki Pungkur there, Big Brother?" Pandan asked
Fragrant.
"No," he said slowly and briefly.
"Sorry, I couldn't hold back my emotions earlier," said Jaka Wulung regretfully.
Ranga turned and smiled. Indeed, if only Jaka Wulung could hold back a little of his emotions, maybe it would still be known, whether Ki Pungkur was burnt or ran away. And Rangga only understood that Jaka Wulung was still young and could not fully control his emotions. Besides that, it was his anger at Ki Pungkur that made him unable to think long.
Where exactly is Ki Pungkur? No one
who knows. Finally, Ki Pungkur left Kali Anget Village after he had a disagreement with his older brother. While he left with a deep disappointment. He deeply regretted his older brother's attitude of following his old grudges and being influenced by Telasih's persuasion.
At this time, it turned out that Ki Pungkur had witnessed the actions of the Warrior Rajawali Sakti, who had scorched his shrine to the ground. A hermitage that he had started for years, was destroyed in the blink of an eye. He watched from a place far away and sheltered. He was well aware that his older brother, Ki Karangseda, had made a mistake and was too ambitious.
"Well, hopefully with this incident Kali Anget Village will be calm and peaceful again as before," Ki Pungkur hoped in his heart. Then he moved away and intended to isolate himself in a quiet place far from people who only indulged in worldly desires.
Meanwhile, the seven people who were in the Valley of the Gorges, had already got back on their horses. But they have not departed from that place. They were still staring at the blazing fire that devoured the hermitage building.
"You'd better go back to the village, Pandan Wangi and I will continue our journey," said Rangga.
"You better"
"Thank you," he interrupted quickly. "Just give my regards to your father."
Jaka Wulung could no longer prevent it. Rangga has changed his horse followed by Pandan Wangi. For a while, Jaka Wulung had not left the place. He was still stunned by the departure of Rangga and Pandan Wangi.
"Jaka," Suryadenta called.
"Oh!" Jaka Wulung gasped.
"Let us go home!" asked Suryadenta while rocking his horse.
The five people who backbone of Kali Anget Village spurred their horses slowly. Meanwhile the blazing fire was getting smaller, because there was nothing more to be devoured.
"Can I call you Uncle and Aunt?" asked Jaka Wulung suddenly.
"Why not? You are more appropriate if you become our nephew," said Suryadenta.
"Thank you, Uncle," said Jaka Wulung.
