Zayed was feeling over the moon.
Aveline forgave him at last.
Everything is going to be alright from now on.
The new baby is the added bonus into all this.
"I will go take a shower" Aveline said before kissing him and walking to the washroom.
Zayed stared after her. He was about to follow her into the shower, when he got a phone call from Ben.
"Hey Ben" he said, as soon as he answered the call
"Zayed, all okay?" Ben asked
Ben and Julian were with him, when he received the message that Aveline was meeting up with Brianna.
They had been a witness to his panic.
"Yeah. All okay, Ben. Don't worry" Zayed said
"Zayed? What did Brianna tell you about her circumstances?" Ben asked
"It was not Brianna who told me. Her best friend called me a couple of months ago and asked me to help her out of her addiction. She was getting to drugs after her terrible divorce" Zayed said
"Did you check the facts, Zayed?" Ben asked
"Honestly? I didn't. Brianna had been there to help me, when I went through the same. So, I thought I could use this opportunity to repay that debt. I didn't want to be indebted to her in anyway" Zayed said
"Well, you made a big mistake there. There was no divorce" Ben said dryly
"You mean she is still married?" Zayed asked in confusion
"She was never married. This was all a set up. My guess is, to ruin your marriage. She popped up as soon as it came out that you are married. She must have been holding the candle for you all these years." Ben said
"That b*tch" Zayed cursed under his breath.
"What did she say to your wife?" Ben asked
"That we have rekindled our relationship" Zayed said, in disgust
"Damn!"
"Thankfully, Aveline knew me better. She didn't believe Brianna" Zayed said proudly
"Thank God. Anyways, I just called to let you know. Will catch up later. Bye" Ben said and hung up the call.
It's time to confront the b*tch.

Zayed reached Brianna's apartment
"So ,you want to be my mistress??" He asked in a lethal tone, as soon as she opened the door.
"What are you saying, Zayed??" she asked in her most innocent voice.
Bloody damn her!
"About your conversation with my wife" he said and saw the flash of anger in her eyes when he mentioned the term wife.
"So she came running to you in tears.. huh??" Brianna asked, not even pretending to be coy about it.
Her real feelings are coming to her face now.
"Why did you do that? Even after everything you did, I was here to help you, Brianna. And still you went behind my back? Tried to ruin my home?" Zayed asked, his voice raising
"After everything I did?? What did I really do? I only ever wanted to secure your future and so I helped your father. And you broke up with me without even giving me a second chance" she replied, the hurt evident in her eyes
"I trusted you Brianna. And you broke my trust" he said furiously.
"That's all that matters to you, isn't it? Truth! It doesn't matter to you, if the person who lies does it for your betterment or not." Brianna scoffed
"You knew how important my bond with Salim is. Still you went ahead and joined hands with my father to set me up against Salim. You were helping my father in a political war"
"Father? Huh? No more Mr Ahamed or His Highness. So you forgave your father for all he did ,but couldn't give me a chance" Brianna said.
"I did not forgive anyone" Zayed said
"Did you ever love me, Zayed??" She asked in a low whisper and he couldn't respond to that
"You never did!! Right Zayed??" She asked
"Brianna- I-" what was he supposed to say to that.
He never did love her!! That's the hard core truth.
"I agree, I was livid when Cassandra told me you were married and is also a father" she said
"Cassandra??" He asked in astonishment
"Cassandra working in Maxwell Inc .She is my cousin. That's how I came to know about this. And can you blame me, Zayed. You were a commitment phobe .We were in a relationship for five years, Zayed. Five damn years. I wasted my five years for you and you never could even utter the word marriage and you so easily cut me off from your life" Brianna said accusingly
"Brianna"
"No Zayed. Just listen!! Do you have any idea how I felt when I heard you got married and have three kids? I never thought you would get married one day. It was like a blow to my heart. Because in a corner of my heart I always believed you would come back to me.The bond we shared ,the five years we shared did mean something to me." Brianna said, emotionally
She took a deep breath and continued
"And when I heard about your marriage and kids, I wanted to create trouble for you. And I don't regret that, Zayed. If I were given a second chance ,I would do it all over again. I can see that you love your wife. And for a moment there, you really did feel you were going to lose her ,didnt you??" She asked
"I did!!" He admitted without any shame.
"And how did it feel?" She asked
"Like I am dying" he said, remembering the fear of losing Aveline
"I deserve at least that, don't you think so??" Brianna asked
"Brianna. I am sorry if I ever hurt you. It was not my intention to do that. And I honestly thought you moved on. But that doesn't mean I will tolerate any more nonsense from you. If you so much as touch Aveline's shadow ,you will see a Zayed you never knew existed " he apologized and warned her in the same breath
"I won't ever come into your life again Zayed. I needed closure and I got one. By hurting you and troubling you ,even if it was for a short time. Goodbye Zayed " she said
"And for the record!! I had no intention of being your mistress. I haven't stopped that low." She added
He nodded
"Also remember! I am not the only one who wants to separate you. There is someone very close to you who encouraged me in this. I will leave it to you to figure out who" Brianna added with a smirk
And he closed that chapter of Brianna his life completely and walked out, thinking that she simply wanted to confuse him buy talking about a new threat.
