“I understand your pain but this is not the best way to go about this~” “ But how, Prince?” She glanced up at her brother who was by now staring down at her, worried. His eyes clearly showed how pained yet troubled he felt about the whole situation. “... I can't stand and watch that beast freely move around any longer.” She instinctively dried off the tears with the back of her hands. For a moment, she felt he wanted her to pull off from her plans. “ hell no, I'm never backing off if that is what you want.” He sighed, frustration drawn to his face. “ We're not doing that, Aims~ all we're saying is that...” Jasmine neared her and as if in a whisper, she added. “ calm down and take your time so you can put up a better plan.” “ Exactly my point, honey,” Prince affirmed. “ Mr. Simon is not just anyone you can confront or bring down without a proper plan~ you might be trading your future at the cost of that, trust me.” “ With just a snap, he can get rid of you and that's it,” said Jasmine but Aims was bent on her stubbornness. “ He dares not cross that line because I'm no longer the timid and cowardly girl he knew before" Her eyes burned with rage. “ I can go to any length...” At this point, Prince had had enough of her foolishness–there was nothing they were going to say that would make her change her mind. He should put his feet down before things get out of hand. He can't stand losing her to her recklessness. “ Enough, young lady!” He roared, holding her by the arm which made her freeze, scanning into his eyes. “ Remember for now you're just a nobody without power to him..." He went on, his voice tensed with fury. Jasmine tried to hold him off but with just a glance, she quietly stepped back allowing him to go on. “If I should remind you, you've got nowhere with your education and not to talk about your stand as a lawyer either...so snap out of this stubbornness of yours~ that won't take you anywhere.” Aims finally noticed the sincerity in his eyes and felt guilty about her attitude and actions. “ I'm sorry...” she humbled, her head down in shame and regret. Jasmine intuitively hugged her and Prince sighed, looking at the two being emotional. “ Come here...” He drew her in a comforting hug. “ You know how much I love and care for you" He explained and she nodded. “ I know how much hurt you feel but let's take this a step at a time, I promise to draw an end to it with you, huh?” With a faint smile, she agreed with a nod but something seemed to be on her mind. The mess she'd created finally dawned on and she knew there was nothing to make it right. Prince who had already read out her worry assured her of putting things back on track and she appreciated it. He'd promised to protect her no matter what and that's just what he was going to do~ no matter what it cost. “ Shall we go now?” He asked and both ladies nodded. Aims joined Jasmine at the back while Prince took the driver's seat. Soon, they had zoomed off the campus. ************** Lilia who had noticed what had transpired between the two quickly tailed after Simon as he headed off to the office. If she was to complete her mission, an alliance like Mr Simon was a plus for her plan. “ Good day, sir” She called as he was about to trod into the office, and Simon spontaneously turned to her. Uncertainty plugged into his face at this moment. “ How may I help you?” He asked. Lilia smiled and stuttered. “ Well...” She began. “ Actually, I saw what transpired between you and that insolent girl, Aims.” “ Oh, that.” He chortled. The feeling of awkwardness pricked at him. “ It's nothing~ I believe this is just your way of venting to cope with stress and depression lately. ” Lilia instinctively chuckled at his ignorance which came as a surprise to him. He didn't say anything funny so the laugh was unexpected and disrespectful. “ Oh, sorry for my manners but there's no need to hide anything from me. ” She said and leaned a little closer. “...I already know your story~ I'm just here to help you out since we have a common enemy” She whispered which made Simon's gaze fly wide. Lilia giggled with a raised eyebrow which briefly wiggled down. “ Is this a test or your way of brainwashing others so you can have your way?” Simon asked, feeling trapped. Lilia smiled and Simon chortled which soon silenced into a cold gaze. “ Do you think I am that foolish to fall for your trap?~ I know you two are in this together.” " I can't convince you enough but it's your choice to make~ have her close friend work for you or a stranger...which is better.” This threw him into a dilemma for a few seconds and as Lilia turned to leave, he called her back, and their deal was sealed. “ Just hit me up any time you need me.”She said and Simon went on. “ Perfect...” She laughed, feeling satisfied. “ Now, let the game begin.” She whispered. With her mission cleared, she turned to leave but to her surprise, Kingsley was right behind which freaked her out. In a shout, she cried. “ Gosh...you startled me.” Kingsley was also surprised at her behavior. “ Why the panic...you gave me a scare here." He lamented. “When did you get here?~ and what are you doing over here?” “ Isn't it obvious?” He said, perplexed at her question. “ Looked everywhere for you and someone told me you came this way.” “ Oh, right, sorry about that~ shall we go now?" She said, heading the way down the corridor. He quickly tailed after her. “ I saw you with the Principal earlier~ Is everything okay?" He sounded worried but Lilia assured him it was nothing serious. “ Sure?” Their voices faded away as they exited the hallway.
