Chun cha POV
Tears kept gushing out of my eyes, while staring at her unconscious body on the hospital bed. “Who did this to you, Mi cha?” I held her hand and asked. “Who have you wronged to deserve this?”
“Hi ma'am” I looked up to see the female Doctor. I quickly stood up and rushed to her.
“What happened to my daughter?”
“Tell me, she is fine, right?” I choked on my words.
The Doctor shot me a loving smile.
“Your daughter is alright, ma'am,” She answered. “It's just a minor injury, although you should be thankful the boy brought her here very early,” She continued.
I looked at Audrey. “But she is unconscious,” I said lowly, not taking my eyes away from her figure on the bed.
“She's not unconscious ma'am, she'd been given a Pentazocine injection- to help relieve the pains, and she's responding to treatment” The Doctor explained, and I felt relieve washed all over me. “So you have absolutely nothing to worry about,” She added with an assuring smile.
“Thanks Doctor”
I bowed a little and went back to where I was sitting. “Uhm mm, Doctor”
“Yes ma'am” She stopped walking and turned around. “The boy, the boy who brought my daughter here, Who is he?” I asked, curiously.
The Doctor shook her head.
“He refused to tell us something about himself, ma'am. He only told us he had spoken with you and that you're already on your way”
That's true…
I heard a masculine voice, after I've been calling Audrey's phone with no respond.
I was taken aback at first- but then, he dropped the most shocking news about my only daughter. I rushed down here without listening to his further talks.
“And you need to see how worried he was,” The Doctor's voice snapped me out of my thought. “The boy truly care about your daughter, I must say” She added with a smile on her face, but I just stared on.
Who could he be?
The Doctor bowed lightly and turned to walk away, but stopped to look at me.
“I noticed the boy was wearing the same uniform as your daughter,” She said.
I just nodded.
Audrey would definitely know the boy.
But when did she start keeping male friends too? Thank you, Lord, for the new changes.
“She will be discharged tomorrow,” The Doctor concluded before walking out the door.
Min jun POV.
In the evening…
“Oh my goodness, Min jun!” Dad exclaimed in surprise, immediately he spot me entering the living room. He rose to his feet, “I've been trying your phone for ages, but it wasn't reachable”
“Both your phone and your driver's” He continued, looking so worried. “Where have you been?” “What happened?” He asked in his fatherly tone, walking closer to where I was standing.
“Holy Jesus!” His eyes bulged as he stared at my stained chest. “Talk to me already, Aaron” He tapped my cheeks.
“Why is your uniform soaked with blood?” He almost yelled, frantically.
“Dad” I hugged him tight, allowing those pending tears to drop on their own.
“I'm sick, I'm not myself lately, Dad,” I cried in his shoulder. “Shush” He hushed me, tapping my back.
“Tell me how you're feeling, son?”
I disengaged from the embrace, facing him.
“It's her, Dad, she had succeeded in ruining my heart” I moved away from where I was standing, choking on every word.
“And today, I cried,” I continued, staring blankly. “I cried all because I saw her in her own blood, Dad” I turned to Dad and confessed.
“But who's she, Son?” Dad asked as he came to me. “It's Psycho” I told him, wiping away the tears.
He smiled, placing a hand on my shoulder.
“Tell me Dad, I need to see a Doctor, right?” I asked him, and he shook his head, negatively.
“No, son”
“Then what's she doing to me?!” I half yelled, removing his hand from my shoulder.
“I've never cried in my entire life because of a girl, until today” I shoved a hand into my hair.
“Answer me, Dad”
“What's she doing to me?” My voice crooked.
“You're in love with her, Aaron” Dad answered with a triumph smile plastered on his face. I stared at him, like he just uttered gibberish.
“Love?” I scoffed, after a short silence.
“Yes son, you're in love with psycho”
“What are you even saying, Dad?” I gritted my teeth in anger. “You and I both know I can never like a girl” I reminded him.
He moved to stand in front of me.
“But what can you do now?” He raised his brows. “She already captured your heart, son, you just won't admit it” He winked.
“Finally!” He raised his hands.
I shook my head before walking past him.
“I knew you can't help matters all along” I mumbled, heading towards the stairs.
“How's she, by the way?” He asked at my back, but I didn't reply.
“How did she get into an accident?”
“And how did you manage to save her?”
I rolled my eyes. "Aren't you going to eat, are you skipping dinner?” He further inquired, but I didn't answer him. I wasn't even hungry.
My mind drifted to her again as I got to the hallway.
I drew in a long breath; I just hope she's fine.
'Are you really in love with her?' My subconscious mind sneered.
'No, I am not!' I almost scream loudly.
“Sleep well, Aaron” Dad shouted from downstairs, disrupting my thoughts.
I glanced at him. “I meant dream about… Her” He drawled the last word, grinning like a jolly Panda.
“Ugh!” I groaned before marching towards my room. This is all your fault, psycho!
I didn't know how long I spent in the bathtub, but after I decided to come out, my feet had become feeble. Earlier today, Immediately we arrived at the nearest hospital, I fetched Psycho's cellphone from her backpack quickly placed a call through her mom.
I lay down on the bed after I changed to my pajamas, my whole mind was with Psycho. I knew I should have waited till her mom arrives, but I didn't want her to see me when she regained consciousness. The doctor had said she would be okay, and I hope so. And as for the perpetrator, who could it be?
