Xiali's POV....
"Xiali," says Ten. "You're drunk."
"And so are you," I say as I pull him closer to me. He starts staring at my lips as I could feel the desire in his eyes.
I pull him closer and we continue our kiss, not caring about what's gonna happen next because deep inside we know that it's what we wanted at the moment.
The next day...
9 AM...
At the boys' house...
Xiali flutters her eyes open as she stretches her arms out. She sits up from the bed with her head still feeling a bit dizzy from last night. She starts to observe her surroundings and realize that Ten is still asleep beside her. She start to recall everything that happened between them last night, which somehow made her feel a bit happy inside.
Xiali stretches her arms out to grab her phone from the small table beside the bed. She wants to check if she's got any notifications, in which she did. She's got 1 missed call from her mom, and 3 missed calls and 3 messages from Yangyang. Xiali forms a frown as Yangyang's name appear on her phone screen. Remembering what happened between them last night is the last thing she want to think about. Yet, she is still curious about what he has to say. Xiali opens the 3 messages from Yangyang to see what he has to say.
"I just got back from the party. Are you asleep yet?" - Yangyang (12:05 AM)
"Are you awake yet? I want to talk to you. I swear, I didn't do anything." - Yangyang (7:15 AM)
"What happened last night was a misunderstanding. When you are awake, please pick up the phone." - Yangyang (7:40 AM)
Xiali lets out a sigh and puts her phone back on the table. She didn't feel like replying to Yangyang since she is still upset by what happened last night. She gets up from her bed with her legs feeling a bit shaky. She walks to the bathroom to see a reflection of herself in the mirror. Her eyes looks just as tired as her body feels.
I definetly drank too much. Xiali thought.
Xiali walks out of the bathroom and see that Ten is awake. He rubs his eyes and sits up to see Xiali now standing beside the bed.
"How's your head?" Xiali ask as she tries to not stare at Ten who is sitting on the bed shirtless. As much as she admires his charming figure, she couldn't help but get butterflies every time he caught her staring at him.
"Better. And you?" Ten ask before puts his phone back on the small table.
Xiali sits on the bed beside Ten. "Still a bit dizzy," Xiali says as she rubs her head.
Ten turns his head to see Xiali. He starts remembering what happened between them last night, which was all a big surprise. Though he knew deep inside that he wanted it to happen, yet he didn't expect it to happened that way. At the time, all he wanted to do was to comfort Xiali and made her feel loved. Nevertheless, he is happy that he was able to show Xiali just how much she means to him.
Ten slowly puts his arm around Xiali's shoulder as he pulls her closer to him. He starts caressing her hair, making her put both of her arms around his waist. Ten looks down at the girl hugging his waist as he forms a small smile on his face. Even the little things about her gets him more addicted, like the way she smiles or when she roll her eyes.
Slowly, Ten trails his hand down her waist. He then puts his other arm on her leg and pulls her to sit on top of his lap. They stare into each other's eyes, and Ten notice how Xiali's cheeks are blushing a deep shade of red. Ten smiles at her before pulling her closer to him where their lips meet. He puts one of his arm on her waist, and the other one on her cheek as they kiss with passion.
They eventually pull away to catch their breath and continue to stare into each other's eyes. Ten lets out a small smile as he stares at Xiali who looks like she's lost in the moment.
"Ok, I'm gonna go make us breakfast," Ten says. He gives Xiali one last peck on the lips before putting her back on the bed. He gets up from the bed and grabs his shirt before walking downstairs, leaving Xiali still at lost of words after what just happened.
This guy...he's so sweet... But, I can't fall in love with him just yet.
Xiali thought as she lets out a small sigh. Even though she realize that she's starting to like Ten more, but after what happened between her and Yangyang made her more cautious of her feelings. She didn't want to give her feelings too early before she is sure that Ten also feels the same way as her. Other than that, she didn't want to fall in love with Ten while still thinking about Yangyang.
10 AM...
At Empire Noodle Shop...
Lucas and Hendery are having brunch together as they talk about their plan to get closer to Xiali.
"So how did it went last night?" Hendery ask before he continues to eat his noodle.
"She declined," says Lucas. "I think she's gonna be harder than what we expected."
"Well, no wonder. Even Junhui failed in trying to seduce her to his room," Hendery says with a small chuckle.
"Looks like she only has one friend in college," Lucas says.
"You mean Ten Lee?" ask Hendery. "Is he her boyfriend?"
"I don't know. But I'm gonna figure out how to make her my girlfriend," Lucas says.
"Well, other than that, we still have to find out where she lives," says Hendery. "Mama wants us to send results sooner."
Lucas takes a sip of his warm tea. "I have to plan something to get us closer," Lucas says.
The next day...
At Ming University...
Xiali is getting some books from her locker, when she hears a familiar male voice.
"Hey! Good morning," says Lucas as he approaches the young girl. "Going to class?" ask Lucas as he gives Xiali a bright smile.
"Yup," says Xiali as she closes her locker. "And you?"
"Same destination as you are," says Lucas. "Let's go!"
Xiali smiles at Lucas and the two starts walking to class together. As they walk through the hallway, they notice that some students starts to glance at them. Some of them even starts whispering.
"You're quite popular here," says Lucas as he glance at a group of girls who are whispering to each other.
"This happens everytime they see me walking with a popular guy," says Xiali. "Everytime I walk with Ten this always happens."
"Ah, I am not popular. I'm a new student," Lucas says.
"But you are quite popular," says Xiali. "I overheard a bunch of girls talking about you and Hendery earlier."
Lucas lets out a small chuckle. "Well, I wouldn't say I'm too popular though."
The two finally reach their class. Xiali sees Ten already saving a seat for her. Xiali approaches Ten who is smiling at her, but his smile soon changes when he sees that Lucas is also gonna sit with them, since he notice that there is one empty seat left beside Xiali.
"Sorry I'm late," says Xiali to Ten.
"No worries," says Ten as he smiles at Xiali before he glance at Lucas who is focusing on the lecture.
A few hours later...
At the cafeteria...
Ten, Xiali, and Lucas decides to sit together during lunch. Ten notice how Lucas had been throwing some cheesy jokes at Xiali and making her laugh, which irritates him. He honestly doesn't like the idea of Xiali getting too close with Lucas. He doesn't trust him.
"Hahaha, that's a funny joke!" says Xiali as she continues to laugh.
Ten glance at Xiali who had been busy laughting at Lucas's jokes.
I don't get what this Lucas guy actually wants. He's a new student who out of no where tries to get closer to Xiali. I doubt his intentions are good. He could be associated with the stalkers.
Ten thought.
A few hours later...
At Jiang University...
Winwin walks out of the college building. As he is about to reach his car, he hears a familiar voice calling his name.
"Winwin!" Yiren says as she catches up with him. "Where are you going?"
"I'm going to Luhan's workshop," says Winwin as he gets on his bike and starts pedaling off.
Yiren watches Winwin from a distance as he pedals his bike. She lets out a sigh as he starts to disappear out of her sight.
Meanwhile, at Ming University...
"You don't have to drive me home tonight," says Xiali as she and Ten are walking in the hallway.
"What? Why not?" Ten ask with a curious tone.
"Lucas asked me out for dinner tonight. He said he'll pick me up after work and also drive me back home," Xiali says.
"Oh," Ten says with a dull tone. At this state, Xiali could really tell that Ten didn't seem to like Lucas.
Xiali lets out a small giggle. "Are you jealous, Ten?" she ask.
"No. Why would I be jealous of him?" ask Ten as he tries to sound confident. "I just don't trust that guy, Xiali. You've only known him for a few days and he's already asking you out?" Ten adds.
"Didn't you also ask me out a few hours after we first met?" ask Xiali as she turns her head to face Ten who looks irritated at the question.
"Smart question," says Ten as he tries to form a small smile. "But seriously, I was trying to protect you. That's why I saved you from the stalker."
"Well, maybe Lucas is just trying to make some friends. He is new around here," Xiali says.
"Still, I don't trust him though. He could be associated with the stalkers," Ten says.
"I think you're overthinking, Ten. Before I know if he is a bad guy or not, I will definetly be careful," says Xiali as the two finally reach the college exit. "Don't worry so much."
Ten stares into Xiali's eyes with hope. He thought she is definetly too innocent for her own good that she thought that Lucas could be harmless.
Ten lets out a sigh. "I'm just worried about your safety. You know I should be the one to always be there for you," Ten says.
"You're always there for me, Ten," Xiali says as they stare into each other's eyes.
Even when I'm sad.
Xiali thought as the memories of what happened between them a few days ago starts surfacing in her mind.
Ten stares into Xiali's eyes with a concern look. "Ok. Just be careful and stay safe," says Ten as he pats Xiali's back. "I wouldn't want to see you get hurt."
"Sure, Ten," says Xiali with a smile.
"Well, let's go. At least I get to drive you to work," Ten says as he and Xiali starts walking to his car.
Xiali forms a smile as Ten opens the car door for her. The two enters the car and Ten drives off leaving college.
A few hours later...
At Han's Car Service...
Winwin and Luhan are in the middle of cleaning some cars. Just then they see a black car parking in their workshop. The car door opens to reveal a girl who Winwin is familiar with.
"Hello! How can I help you?" Luhan ask as he approaches the young lady.
"I'm looking for Winwin. He told me he'll be here today," says the girl, Yiren.
"Yes. He's just over there," says Luhan who points out at Winwin who is in the middle of cleaning a car.
"Ok. Thank you," says Yiren as she walks towards Winwin with a small paper bag in her hand.
"Winwin!" Yiren calls out to the young boy.
Winwin looks up at Yiren as he continues to clean the car. "What?" he ask.
"I brought you these," Yiren says as she hands the paper bag of Chinese takeaway to Winwin.
Winwin takes the paper bag and takes a peek. "Thank you. But you didn't have to do it," says Winwin.
"You didn't seem to have an appetite today during lunch," says Yiren. "You should eat. You could get sick."
Winwin looks up and looks at Yiren in the eyes. He is aware at how the girl had been acting so nice and affectionate towards him lately, especially after the incident that had caused him to shut people out every time anyone tries to come closer to him. Though he knew that Yiren is trying to help him get through his hard time and heal from the past, yet he could only feel a feeling of gratitude towards her, though he knew by her actions that she might have other feelings for him.
