Joan sat on the chair in their parlour while waiting impatiently for Lilian to come back so she could tell her how she was to leave for Drasule again to save Gina.
Just as she was waiting, Lilian stepped into the house rather abruptly and said;
"I know you are leaving"
"You know?"Joan turned to her in suprise.
"I discovered my witch powers not quite long mother so I ended up reading your mind"
"What?!"
"Don't act dumbfounded mother"Lilian noted nonchalantly.
"Well, I wasn't expecting it to come so quick"replied Joan
"You weren't expecting it at all mother. Don't lie"Lilian frowned "you've never told me a thing about father!"she seemed to be upset.
"Are we still on this, Lilian?"Joan arched her brows. "Your father was a wizard"
"No, dad was human!"she expounded "You didn't have to lie mother"she stated before storming out of the cottage angrily.
She leaned on the rail placed at the front yard as tears threatened to leave her eyes. Her dad was human and Joan met him in a war where he saved her life. His name was Eric and of course he was an ever caring man but death couldn't just wait till she grew before it took him. Just the moment she was given birth to, was the same time he died at the peak of the war he'd gone to.
All of these borrowed memories came to her, when she'd realised her witch powers few days back. Since she was half human, half witch, that was why she got her powers late.
Joan stepped out of the cottage with a backpack hung on her back and she sighed upon seeing her daughter. She had a reason why she had to lie but she felt even more sorry that Lilian got to find out in such way.
"I'm leaving."She said to her agonized daughter but she got a mute cold response instead.
So, she just had to go figuring it was best she let her be, maybe by the time she was back, she would have calmed down.
"Why did you lie to me?"Lilian suddenly asked and she turned to her shaking her head indicating that she couldn't say another word concerning the issue and Lilian wept bitterly.
"Make sure they slit your throat with a sword!"she angrilly yelled before storming back into the house and jamming the door against her.
Joan sighed pitifully and finally left.
Already, Taynor and Zenia had located the Mellisa cave and they were coming back from the market square with bundles of medium sized candles but Zenia was stressed out. Was she ever going to go back to her normal human life? She kept asking herself.
"Are you okay?"Taynor turned to her worriedly and she pouted instantly.
"I'm tired. Can we rest a bit?" She said falling to the ground tiredly and Taynor chuckled.
"Wait here. Let me get water"he said and left but upon coming back with the water he couldn't find her again.
"Zenia?"he called but no response. His heart began to beat rapidly and before he could start searching for her, he felt chains hold him from behind. What?!
"Got him!"it were the dare demons victorious cheer.
Certainly, he knew someday they were going to capture him and take him to the pro-council and it had to be today.
"Lets take him"the head of the dare demons said and before he could even struggle they teleported him. Upon landing, he found himself in the pro-council's gathering and there was also Zenia kneeling at the middle of the gathering.
His eyes lit in relief and he called her"Zenia"
She turned to him immediately with teary eyes and he practically ran to her with the chains still holding him.
"Did they hurt you?" He asked holding her face in worry.
"No"she shook her head
Then he stood angrilly to address the elders gathering.
"Look"he began and all eyes were on him until one elder spoke
"You can't stand while talking to us Taynor"he observed "kneel!" he commanded and some dare demons came forward and pushed him to his kneel.
"He escaped and is a traitor to this kingdom"the elder continued trying to convince the gathering.
"You never told me who I was!"Taynor defended "and I had the right to escape since I don't belong to this kingdom"he said.
"Then why are you back?"another elder asked.
He became mute because he wasn't sure of the answer to let out. Since he came back to become human, he didn't have to tell them.
"He came to apologise"Zenia quickly chipped in.
He instantly averted his gaze to her then back to the pro-council and he grinned nervously "yes, I came to apologise"he noted.
"Then do it properly" an elder attacked.
"I......"
"Look, we found candles"one of the dare demons approached the gathering with the bag Taynor had been carrying.
The elder scrutinized the bag and then looked at Taynor suspiciously "Do you still plan to become human?"he asked.
Taynor laughed immediately "absurd! How could I?"
"You fool! Do you think you can decieve us?"another elder rushed at him but the head was quick to stop him.
"Let him be Drake. The child might tell the truth"the head intervened
"What is he doing with this much candles?"Drake asked angrilly.
"Every pauper in this kingdom buy candles. What difference does it make that I buy too?"Taynor defended "I'm innocent. Just let me go"
"Stand Taynor"the head of the elders commanded and once he did so, he was quick to run to Zenia who was almost collapsing.
"Are you okay?"he asked her. Beads of sweat were on her forehead and she was breathing heavily plus her lips were suddenly pale.

"Can I go now?"he turned the elders and since all of them had agreed to let him go, they nodded.
He quickly picked up Zenia and the bags and without looking back, he teleported.
"Watch him"was Drake's secret command to one of the dare demons.

Once Taynor got back to the cave were he and Zenia secretly resided atimes, he laid her down on the flat rock surface and wondered what was actually wrong with her.
"You don't look alright Zenia and you are burning up"
She shivered and slowly, she spoke "I think something stung me in the wood earlier"she pointed to her legs.
He quickly looked down at her legs around her ankle and he saw that it was swollen and red. Without hesitation, he closed his eyes and placed his hands over the wound and with his powers, he healed her and slowly the leg went down but by then, Zenia had already passed out.
He had to teleport back to the cottage they mainly resided and placed her properly on the bed but when he looked through the window, he suddenly saw a woman staring at him evily. What?!
