When they were about halfway back to the kingdom of Greyfield. "Are you sure that's what you wanted to do? Don't forget that you still have to fight every red moon..." Kai was really reminded by Xavier.
Since it was already midnight, they decided to stay where they were and spend the night. Since Lyca and Jaxson are playing in the lake, Kai uses this time to tell Xavier what he has decided.
"Don't worry, the priestess gave me a medallion that will help me with force shifting..." Kai answered, and he patted Xavier's shoulder.
"You like Crystal, don't you?" With a big smile on his face, Xavier said yes.
They've known each other since they were kids and have never been apart. So this is the first time the latter has decided to leave Xavier's side.
"I also don't know why I like her so much... Funny thing is, I told you I wouldn't leave, but here I am telling you I'm going..." Kai said with a smile.
"Ha Ha Ha! Brother, each of us has a life... You and the others are my brothers, and I want you all to find yourselves..." Xavier answered and turned to look at Lyca. "I want you to know what it's like to love and be loved," he continued.
Kai smiled. Since they were kids, he had never seen happiness in Xavier's eyes. "This isn't farewell... "I'll be back as soon as I find Crystal," he said with certainty.
"Of course! I'm going to get married to Lyca in the winter, so you have to come back!" Xavier said this with a smile.
This was not a surprise to Kai. "Huh! You sure she'll say yes to getting married? But don't be afraid. I will show up... If Snow ever says she doesn't want to marry you, I'll help you take her away!" Kai put out his hand, and Xavier took it right away.
"Yow! What's happening?! It looks like you're hiding something!" Jaxson roared as he jumped on the two people.
"Yes, we have, and a child like you can't know this secret!" Xavier insisted, Jaxson took his hand off his shoulder, and he stood up and walked toward where Lyca was.
"What in the world? "I am not a kid!" Jaxson yelled angrily and then turned to Kai. "Let me in on this secret! As he sat next to Kai, he said, "I'll kill you if you keep something from me."
Kai took a deep breath before telling Jaxson that he was leaving.
On the other side of the lake, Xavier and Lyca were sitting together.
"Are you okay?" Lyca asked with a sad smile. She already knows what Kai is going to do, which makes her sad.
"So you already knew..." Xavier uttered and hugged Lyca. "I'm sad, but I'm okay. In fact, I'm glad Kai has found his soul mate..."
Lyca let out a sigh of relief because she knew this was the first time the two of them would be apart. She added Jaxson to her list of worries because she was sure that after tonight, he would lose his wacky personality. "I wanted to help Kai, but I still haven't gotten my power back..."
"My princess, you have helped us in so many ways. And another thing is that Kai has to go on this trip... "I really did want him to go out and see the world," Xavier said.
"Hmmm... But Jaxson and the others—"
"Just like the rest, Jaxson is not a child. So don't worry too much, because everything will be fine." With a big smile on his face, Xavier gently pinched Lyca's nose.
Lyca let out a sigh, and then she and her friend both looked up at the moon and stars.
Kai was supposed to leave the next day, so Lyca and Xavier got up early.
"I'll wake Jaxson—"
But Kai stopped Lyca right away. "No need. Let him rest," he said with a small smile.
Even though it wasn't the right thing to do, Lyca gave in and didn't wake Jaxson. "When my power comes back, I'll get in touch with you... She said, "I'll also try to find Crystal," and she hugged Jake tight. "Have fun and stay safe..."
"Thank you. Please look after my brothers... They don't want to be tamed, but I know you can do it easily..." Kai shot back, smirking at Lyca. Then he turned to Xavier and asked him to walk with him.
"Don't forget your promise... "Since you're going to be my best man, you can't miss my wedding," Xavier told him again.
"If you make a promise, keep it. No matter if I find Crystal or not, I will be there." Kai said this with certainty.
The two brothers gave each other a tight hug before going their separate ways.
In the meantime, Jaxson is sleeping, but he is still awake. He has already come to terms with Kai leaving, and he is fine with it. But even so, Jaxson can't stop crying, so he decides not to stand up. "You will be very surprised the next time we see each other... I swear I'll do better! Better in a way that will make you proud...
Lyca, Xavier, and Jaxson continued their journey, and soon after, they reached the kingdom of Greyfield.
"We're finally back!" Jaxson excitedly screamed as he entered the palace.
"Finally... We are home..." Lyca murmured while smiling widely at Xavier.
"We are home, yes..." Xavier answered, and the two of them walked together into the palace. Austin, Adam, and the others gave them a friendly welcome.
That night there was a party. Jaxson told the story, and everyone else paid close attention.
Since Lyca is the focus of the conversation, she can't help but feel shy, so she pulls Xavier away from the group to avoid it.
"What's the matter?" Xavier asked as he hugged Lyca from the back.
Lyca's muzzle lengthened. "You already know that I hate being the topic of conversation, but..."
Xavier laughed, ad he turned Lyca to face him. "That's not good... Because I'm sure everyone in the kingdom will talk about you when they find out you're pregnant—"
When Xavier made a joke, Lyca's eyes got bigger. "About what are you talking? Stop messing around in case someone hears you!"

Lyca was completely shocked, and then she gave Xavier a mean look.

"What do you suggest? Do you really need to ask? We'll definitely get married!" Xavier said this and gave Lyca a tight hug.
