Blake's Pov
I couldn't stop thinking of Rose and how she struck my heart when I met her at the restaurant and we got talking for the first time. She was such a sweet soul, very simple, nice and cool headed. Such a fine woman I thought almost all the time and I felt it would be cool if we actually had to meet each other again.
Something deep inside told me that she was just that perfect somebody which I needed. Although I knew nothing about her, but I was willing to give it a trial, who knows things might just click up well between the both of us.
I could only think about her , and it helped me do away with Moms and Veronica's visit, which wanted to drive me crazy, those two were something else. Here I was having something else that made me very happy as a man.
I was quite happy the way I had handled their visit and told Veronica off, at least she would be so annoyed with me and would avoid me for sometime so I could get to know this pretty lady the more.
After taking my evening shower, I got into my car , making my way down to the restaurant to see if I could meet her there. She had refused to give me her number ,but I knew one thing ,the owner was her friend.
When I got to the restaurant, around 7am , it was already opened , so I walked in. There were no customers yet but I could hear some noise from the counter, so probably, a someone was close by.
" Hello, who's here?" ,I asked to have a better view on the person at the counter.
I was taken aback discovering it was Roses friend, oh I wasn't prepared to talk to this lady, her facial looks at me were scary.
" Good morning , Please you can sit over there sir ,while I come take your order", she said
" Good morning Ma'am, ehmm, I am okay here, I would take something later on, but I just want to ask after Rose", I managed to say.
" Well she isn't here , so what's your order", she said.
" Please can you tell me where she is, I would really appreciate it , if I can have a word with her", I said.
" Sorry Mr... She doesn't leave here and you can't come here this early morning to ask me these questions. I am quite busy and I am sorry I don't have all day to listen to you. When you want to make an order , you can call me back", she said as she left into an inner room.
I wondered how arrogant she was and why she would have to speak to me in such a manner. I wondered the kind of relationship she had with Rose and why she was sounding so jealous that a guy like me was hitting on her friend.
I grabbed a sit and sat down, something told me that Rose might come by and so I decided to stick around for sometime.
I had waited for a very long time before I saw some other workers coming to work. I met the lady from the other day the waitress who have loved me and I had to call her . I asked her about the whereabouts of Rose and if she knew where she stayed.
The lady had told me that she had no idea of where Rose lived that she was sure that Rose was going to come to the restaurant that day. so I had to wait I waited till 9 a.m. when I suddenly heard her voice approaching full-stop she was very jovial and whenever she ain't heard she got to speak to so many customers at the same time.
I think even the customers admired her and always wanted to talk to her and knew how she was doing. immediately saw me and I could read that sign of shock or would I say surprise on her face. I waved without her and she waved back and smiled. I tried muttering some words which I knew she wouldn't hear from there only two get her to come close to where I was.
she went into the inner room and came out almost immediately it was quite certain that she had gone to drop her handbag which he had brought with her. She smiled and walked straight to where I was and sat down.
"so tell me mister Blake what brings you to are restaurants today and why haven't you ordered anything yet?", she asked first up was at that point that I noticed that I was the only customer who has an empty table right in front of me. I smiled and told her that I was waiting for her to come and get my orders.
she then told me that I was so silly and asked what if she hadn't come to work to that day and what I was going to do if she wasn't there. I told her that I was sure she was coming and that my instincts never feels. she laughed so hardly and I could tell that my words and making her happy.
she called on the waitress in the counter and immediately knew she wanted me to place my orders so I told the waitress to get me a cup of hot tea and some spaghetti made with hot sauce.
we kept on talking I asked her a few questions on how she got to work at the restaurants and she explained that Sharon had always been her friend back in school and although she couldn't finish school due to some circumstances share unheard agreed to help her by letting her work with her as her friend.
all she said about Sharon give me a total view about who Sarah was on like what she has been portraying ever since I met her. I haven't seen Sharon as a very arrogant and crazy lady, but if called Rosa just told me was true then that simply means she was totally the opposite of what I thought.
I knew that I was going to discover exactly why she was acting in such a manner towards me maybe there was something I did I said wrong that gods are in such a state. as we kept talking I saw how nice Rose was and I could tell that she was already falling for my chats. I then thought it wise to ask her out.
as shocking as surprising as it was she didn't object to my offer and she quickly accepted to go out with me let's talk I was like the most luckiest man in the world. you know that feeling when you just win a lottery that was exactly the feeling I had when was accepted to go out with me. as we got talking Sharon stepped out I could see her heading to what will be where and her face wasn't encouraging at all.
looking at her she seemed like someone who was coming to punch me in the face and that scared me but ,as soon as she got to the table where we where she sat down.
I wasn't too sure why she had come over but whatever it was I was ready to this thing and get to know exactly what her problem was.
"Mister you are still here", those were the words Sharon said.
"well my name is Blake Sharon, you can call me Mister Blake", I replied.
"Oh! I see mister Blake, well I do not know why you keep on stalking my friend here and I must say that I am really very uncomfortable with it", she said.
I wondered why she was comfortable with my talking to Rose I was so tempted to ask her if she and those were a couple and why she found it very irritating whenever I was close to her.
At the same time ,I knew asking such a question could be very embarrassing, especially if they weren't a couple as I had thought so many times.
" Do you have a problem with me talking to your friend Sharon? or are you jealous?", I found myself asking.
Of course I knew I shouldn't have asked such a question, but her attitude had pushed me to.
" Well yes ,I have a problem with you talking to her", Sharon replied.
I could see that Rose's counterance had changed and she tried signaling Sharon to stop.
" Sharon please stop, I don't like what's going on now, please can you excuse us ", Rose asked Sharon who insisted on not leaving .
I got so angry ,that I had to ask Sharon I she was a lesbian and why she was so attached to Rose. I could quickly see her eyes getting teary as hot tears dropped.
" You are such a messy arrogant ,good for nothing man", she said as she left the table.
Rose looked at me with those shocking eyes of hers and I could tell that she wasn't buying what I had just said to her friend.
" Excuse me Blake", she said immediately leaving the table to go after Sharon. I quickly held tight to her hands and rendered my sincere apologies ,but she shoveled my hands off.
" Just go home Blake, it's enough", she said.
I felt really bad that I had said something very wrong to her. We were already getting along so well and now ,I use my words to spoil things. I had no idea how to remedy or amend what had happened ,but I knew that I must find a way.
Rose and I had not finalized on were we where going to have our first and now this happened. I had to stick around for sometime , but Rose and Sharon never showed up. I knew I had to leave at least maybe try talking to her later on.
I got into my car and got so exhausted about everything, I wished I had controlled my words better enough. I got home that day but was completely restless all through the night. Thoughts of what I had said to Sharon and how she had cried made me so worried of everything.
As soon as it was morning I had to go back to the restaurant. I had to wait in the car and take note of when Rose arrived. Soon I saw Rose coming out from the restaurant , I guess she had arrived much earlier than I had expected.
I got down from my car and had to approach before she gets back into the restaurant.
" Good morning Rosie", I said as she gave me that dreadful look.
" Please I am so sorry about yesterday, I don't know what came over me , it wasn't my intention to put your friend off like that, it's just that I was so fed up with all she was doing, please I am really sorry and I promise to also render an apology to your friend", I said.
" it's okay Blake, Sharon would be fine. it's just that ,I never expected you to say such to her ,even after you implied it so many times, I tried convincing you that it was nothing like that. Then getting such words from you made me really weak and annoyed", she said.
" I am really sorry , I promise this is not who I am and I don't speak this way. I was just so carried away and I said such a stupid thing to her".
She gave me a smile and that gave me a little sign of relief, at least she was not as mad as she was before. I looked at her and she could tell that I wanted to say something else to her.
" Come on ,what is it Blake , I know you want to say something, go on what is it?",she asked.
I immediately to the little chance I had to ask her out once again of which she was mute for some minutes before she replied.
"Okay , I will go out with you. so when do you want us to see ", she asked.
This gladdened my heart the more as I told her that I was going to come pick her up the next evening. I had discovered a close by beach at the heart of the town and I wanted to explore the place with her first.
I told her if she didn't mind going to the beach with me as it was my first timw visiting there. She was so glad and she told me that she loved being at the beach, as it was her most favorite place.
I was happy that she accepted it , she told me that she had to get back to work and that Sharon was inside. She did not want her to look for her while she was away.
I drove back to the courts and returned back that evening ,I had wanted to have a word with Sharon, at least apologize to her for the other day.
When I got to the restaurant , I could see she was already coming out through the glass window, as she had already locked up the doors, I decided to wait for her while she came out.
In a twinkle of an eye a guy got into the restaurant and I could tell that she was panicking. Although I couldn't hear what she was saying, but she was literally scared and the guy seemed like he was about to rob her.
I immediately got down from my car, got hold of a plank I had gotten from the floor and got into the restaurant. The door clicked and he immediately came after me. He only had a knife with him and while he tried swinging the knife at me , I gave him a hit with the plank on his forehead.
He fell and I immediately beckoned on Sharon to call the cops. She was terrified and kept thanking me for coming in at that time. I smiled and told her that it was okay.
Few minutes later the cops arrived and took the guy away. He was a well known thief in the area and had robbed so many people in the past.
A cop member recognized me and tried blowing my cover when I signaled on him to maintain . I left the restaurant that night vet happy and fulfilled . I was glad that I was there at that time to help Sharon and it helped my apologizing to her go very easy and she quickly forgave me.
I had to drop her off at her place and she kept thanking me , asking that I come over to the restaurant the next day for a threat. I accepted her offer , at least it would be a good way to start off our relationship with each other again.
