"Of course I will stay with you, what is this all about?" He frowned. I chuckled a bit and reached for his face. My fingers trailed from his jaw, his cheek, and ended at the corner of his eyes. I stretched the sides of my lips for a small smile. "You know, the first time I saw these pair of Amethyst eyes, I swear it made my heart jump. It was so calming. But when you started to speak and when a girl bumped into me while trying to get to you, I told myself I don't want you." My lips twitched. I pulled myself up and sit beside him. "Is that why you avoided me?" He moved his body to the left, making our legs touch. I nodded. He rolled his eyes. "It wasn't my fault, you've been too arrogant that night. You even laughed when I got embarrassed that time." I shook my head, remembering how I felt so disappointed by how he treated me back then. "That needy boy who was with you that time saved my face. Thanks to him, deeper wounds were prevented." Auton hissed, wrinkling his nose as if annoyed by what I've just said. "I smirked because I loved how you glanced at me back then. Hmm...your annoyed face made me more attracted. And that girl, I don't even know her. I intended to call you, but that girl just interrupted and I don't mean to offend her. Though, I pushed her away after that. I don't like girls with no manners," he said in a litany, making my smile grow wider. "You did?" I laughed. Thinking of it, Auton wasn't really bad back then. But if that's the case then does it mean... "Did you fell in love with me at first sight?" I teased. I felt him stiffen. His lips parted, and his face turned crimson. It was as if he had been caught by a crime he had been hiding for so long! Another wave of great, booming laughter escaped from my mouth. "Why do you look so flushed? Was it true?" I added, roasting him more as I enjoyed the sight of his reddish ears. "Stop playing with me, it's not funny at all." He scratched the tip of his nose and leaned closer, making me halt from chuckling and gulp in his sudden move. "W-what are you..." He raised his left brow, a lopsided smile plastered on his face as his eyes stared straightly at me. It was mixed with amusement and mockery. His breath was minty, and from our distance, one wrong move and our lips will touch...again. Thinking about it made my heartbeats raise above their normal state. His smile widened. "Can you hear what I hear? Hm..." he looked down at my chest, and then smirked. My lips parted. What the hell is this? He was able to hear my heartbeats? I felt the sudden gush of blood towards my cheeks. My lips quivered, and now, I regret teasing him. I felt his hand reaching for my arm, he was trailing circles, and then triangles. And then it would go up, and down. His eyes now sharp, it was proud...like he knows how much he could send shivers down my spine. "Stop," I uttered almost in a whisper, moving my hand away from him but instead of removing it, he shifted it to my waist, pulling me closer as he brushed his lips against mine. Ang again, those dead butterflies partying inside my stomach came into life. My heartbeats went faster, and my mind knew nothing but to close my eyes and grip on his shirt. It didn't go deeper, but the moment I opened my eyes, what welcomed me was those pair of Amethyst eyes whom I admire the most. Staring at it can make you drown...and I was lucky I could stare at it without even worrying that he'll get intimidated. He moved his head backward, creating a small gap between us, but his nose remained touching my right cheek. "To answer your question, it was love at first sight. I was in a bad mood that day, but hearing your voice felt so comforting. It made me want to get a hold of you and hear those hymns only for me..." he kissed my cheeks and hugged me tighter. I hid my face on his chest, my ears positioned right in front of his heart. He laughed. "And the noise I am hearing earlier was from my chest. God. I thought it would explode the moment I kissed you again." "I will stay...and I'll try to just support you on the things you do. Just don't take yourself too tired." -- "Why are you suddenly rushing? It's not like you're going to be late for the next bus?" Ella, in her scrunched-up face, stopped what I am doing. Her hands were at her waist, her head tilted and eyes dropped at my things. I licked my lips. "Auton and I promised to go to the ice cream parlor tonight. I've seen from the calendar that there will be a full moon for tonight, I told him we need to see it," I uttered and pull the small mirror out of my back, checking if my face was not as oily as it used to be. "Ah! What's wrong with you?" I took a step back from Ella. She tickled my side, making me glare at her. With her sarcastic, mocking face, she uttered, "And there's this girl who claimed several times that she doesn't like Auton Smith. Now, she keeps on combing her hair and checking her face if it looks fresh enough to please the man of her happy days..." she smirked. "I didn't know you'll be damn whipped, Tayla." I bit my lips. My cheeks blushed. Ella really knows how to make me embarrassed of my past deeds. "I told you not to say things with an end, Tayla. Now, look at you." She laughed and tapped my cheeks before tilting her head at the door of the bar. The chairs and tables were already fixed and the white lights were lit up. The door opened and revealed Auton's built. He was wearing a black leather jacket paired with black ripped pants and white shoes. His hair was again, on a man bun, revealing his aristocratic nose and a defined jaw. I licked my lips. Ella patted my shoulders and put all my things back in my backpack before pushing me towards him. "Alright, Mr. Auton Smith! Tayla is so excited about your late-night date!" If only I can shot bullets using stares, I would've done it to Ella. "Excited, huh..." Auton's playful voice boomed against my ear. He kissed my cheeks and removed the bag from my hand, telling me that he would carry it for me. I bit my lips. I think I will never be used to his sudden kisses. My heart feels like exploding! The journey towards our...I think my favorite place was short. There was no traffic, and Uno's driving was smooth. He was clingy, to the point that he wants his hand on my knee, or sometimes holding my hand and bringing it to the gearstick whenever he needs to move it. Instead of being annoyed, it felt so cute. He doesn't even want to maintain a gap between us! After about an hour, we arrived at the ice cream parlor. We bought the usual flavors and sit in front of his car, busy staring at the dark, night sky with only the moon as the main highlight. Thinking about it, the moon looked so calm and beautiful. Although there are some stars beside it, the night seemed like he meant the moon to be the protagonist of this night's show. But it looked lonely. Thinking about it made me glance at Auton. I have always thought that my situation was like the moon. Maybe I'm imagining things, or more like self-pitying. I had always been by myself with no one to talk to. I used to put everything inside me and vent inside the bathroom, but with Auton beside me, it felt different. When I admitted to myself that I like this man and I'm giving us a chance, it made me think like...I already have someone to be with me. I'll no longer be alone. "You wanna hear something?" My thoughts were cut off when Auton's Amethyst orbs met mine. He smiled, standing straight as he walks behind his car and pulls out an acoustic guitar.
