This meal made Arya dizzy.  It did not only make Sophia’s future look inauspicious, but also affected her future bringing uncertainties.  But Sophia had already made up her mind and her determination was completely beyond the imagination of Arya.  After dinner, she immediately invited the company superiors and several colleagues whom she was on friendly terms to come out, saying that since their relationships were good, she must first let them know before she officially resigns.
Arya had a headache.  Even if she wanted, she was still unable to persuade Sophia.  Just as she had said, the first thing she wanted to do was to inform every one of her plans so that she would not be able to retreat.
In actual fact, Soph must be feeling flustered in her heart.  In face of such an uncertain matter, Arya could not understand why Sophia still insisted on doing this.  If it was her, Arya would not have dared to do it.
When Sophia had left Arya to go for her second appointment, Arya felt a little depressed and she was worried that Sophia’s impulse would cause harm to herself.   Then when she thought of Sophia leaving soon, she knew she would be losing a companion and a good friend.  She did not know how she would settle the rent and this made her even more depressed.
While she was taking the bus home, she was deep in thoughts and just as she reached the district entrance, she met Chandler.  He was a little surprised and a little embarrassed.  “What a coincidence.”
“Right.  I just came back from dinner with my housemate.  How is your colleague?”
“I went to look for her.”  Chandler said with a little shyness.  “She said she’s fine.  She looked alright to me and after a few words with her, I came back.”
These two people, one person running and the other person just said a few words.  Don’t they feel this is tiring?  She felt that this stupid behavior is a bit similar to her and Jack’s behavior.  Perhaps, Sophia is right.
Arya asked directly.  “Do you like her?”
“Ah?  No……”  Chandler waved his hand.  ‘We’re not in that kind of relationship.  She……I……”  He stammered.  He shook his head and said.  “We’re colleagues with a good relationship.”
Arya said.  “My housemate said that a woman will not cry at the door of a male colleague without a reason.”
Chandler was so surprised that he did not know how to reply to her.
Arya looked at his surprised expression and had the impression he really had never thought about this.  After thinking for a while, she asked.  “Is she single?”
“Er……Yes.”  Chandler paused and hurriedly said.  “But it’s not that she is not good.  She also has suitors.  I’ve seen her suitors sending flowers to her and she rejected them.”
“I didn’t say she is not good.”
“Oh……”  Chandler gathered his thoughts, scratched his head and felt a little embarrassed.
“Chandler, what about you?”
“What?”
“Have you ever had any girlfriend here?”
“I plan to go back to hometown.”  These words made the two people silent for a moment and then both of them smiled.
When they reached downstairs of Arya’s apartment, she suddenly said.  “Chandler, my friend also told me that if a person loves you, you will definitely know.”
Chandler was blank for a while and she smiled at him.  Then he returned her smile and they waved goodbye.
She did not know why but her mood was not too good.  She had just entered the elevator when her cell phone rang.  Picking it up, she found the call was from Jack.
“Where are you?”
“Going home.”
“Went to dinner with Sophia?”
“Right.”
“Finished your dinner?”
“Just reached home.”
“Um…….”  There was no emotion in Jack’s voice.  He said.  “Then I will hang up.”  Then he actually hung up.
Arya was puzzled and thought whether this guy was acting like a spoilt child again.  Is he trying to tell her that it is still early and wanted her to go out with him?
Arya got out of the elevator and looked at her watch.  The time was just right.  She also wanted to talk to him and tell him about her worries for Soph.  Maybe he has some ideas on how to persuade Soph to stay, so she called him with the intention of asking him to come out.  But Jack’s phone was switched off.
She frowned and her mood became worse.  At these times, his phone is out of power which is really annoying.  By right, he should have charged his phone.
She was alone in the house and the more she thought, the more troubled she became.  She became more worried…….is it alright for Sophia to act this way?
The following days, Arya’s mood was not very good.
The first reason was that Sophia exhibited extraordinary courage and determination.  Quickly, she handed in her resignation and began to hand over her work to her colleagues.  She gathered her friends to say farewell, packed her bags, bought new clothes and so on. 
Arya tried to persuade her again but Soph would not listen.  However, Sophia felt sorry for leaving Arya, so she did want to take back the rent that she had already paid and Arya could still stay until the end of February next year.  That time would be a month after the Spring Festival and Arya would have ample time to make new arrangements.
Another thing that made Arya unhappy was Jack’s attitude towards her which seemed to have gone cold overnight.  When she called him, she could feel his lack of enthusiasm after talking a few words and she did not know what else to say to him.
Arya was the kind of person who does not have anything to say when she encounters a cold response.  After getting the same treatment several times, she also did not want to call him.  She thought that it might be because that day she had insisted on going out for dinner with Sophia and ignored him.  But she felt that he was being unreasonable and she did not even know how to coax him.  The most important thing is that she is also in a bad mood.  In fact, she is the one that needed coaxing and she really is not in the mood to make him happy.
As a result, the two people did not take the initiative to date each other.  Just like that, both of them who had just become lovers did not get to see each other for two whole weeks.
But for Arya, during these two weeks, good things happened to her. 
First, a satisfied insurance client who wanted to express his gratitude to her especially sent her a banner to praise her and her company.  This boosted her reputation in the company.  Then there was the client that she had once helped and she got injured in the process, that client introduced a corporate client to her who needed a group insurance policy for their company.  Her performance instantly grew by leaps and bounds.
On the other hand, Daisy also wanted to hold a discussion with Arya.  Her business on sanitory products had grown larger and she likes Arya for being steady and hard-working, so she hoped to get Arya to work full-time as a salesperson for her.  She also planned to make an allocation to let Arya be responsible for the business of a district.
Arya was flattered.  Good and bad things were continuously coming at her and she was powerless to ward them off.
It was the weekend.  Sophia had packed all her bags, ready to fly to vince tomorrow morning to start her new perilous life.  Arya had begun to feel the grief of parting and when she thought of it, she wanted to cry.
At this time, they were chatting and sitting together on the small sofa in the living room for the last time.  There were various snacks and a dozen beers on the coffee table. 
“When I’ve settled down, I will send you my address.  You can help me to ship the remaining items to me.”
“Okay.”  Arya was a little drunk and she held on tightly to Sophia’s arm.  “Think about it again.  It’s still not too late.”
“It’s too late, Arya.”
“But are you really not afraid?”
“Yes, I’m afraid.”  Sophia smiled.  This is the first time she admitted she was afraid.  “But the more I fear, the more I want to do it.”
Arya looked at her and finally, she could not hold back her tears anymore.
“Soph, in future, no one will tell me the classic methods in those romance novels and no one will tell me words that sounded unreasonable but actually make sense. I will miss you.
“Then let’s take this opportunity to talk a bit more on this.”
“Soph, why is it that when he was not my boyfriend, I feel like I was in love but now he had become my boyfriend, but I feel like I’m losing my love?”
“Perhaps, at that time you felt free.”
Arya twitched her mouth, bent forward and grabbed a can of beer to take a sip.  “Soph, is this the freedom that you want?”
“Yes.  Other than this freedom, I can’t have anything else.”
“Soph, I just fell in love for two days, and haven’t talked for rwo weeks. I’m going to lose my love.  Please don’t leave.”
“What’s the matter?  Don’t want Dr. Jack already?  You want to change and love me instead?”
“But I can’t bear to lose him.”  Arya was dizzy and she finally cried and hiccuped  “Why did he suddenly do this to me?  How can his temper be so bad and his personality so bad?  In the past, I used to dislike him and I was correct.  As expected, no one wants him for a reason.  He is too annoying and I don’t want to like him anymore.  When I feel so sad, he should be with me and make me happy, right?  But he actually did this.  When I called him, the way he spoke to me was like he was talking on his job and I feel very sad.  He is a bastard.”
“Then did you scold him.”
“No.”  The words came out pitifully.
“You have to give him a good scolding.  Even if your relationship changes, your freedom can’t change.  Arya, when you’re happy, you have to laugh and when you’re not happy, you have to scold.  What are you afraid of?”
What are you afraid of?  Afraid that he would feel unhappier, afraid their relationship would become worse, afraid……..yes, what is she afraid of?  Can this be any worse?  Even more inexplicable than this?
Arya felt a sudden spurt of energy.  She snatched up her cell phone and gave Jack a call. 
The phone had not even rung once and Jack had picked up the call.  Arya did not wait for him to speak and shouted loudly.  “You big bastard!   Why do you think you can give me the hot and cold treatment?  Why do you think you can throw your personality and temper at me?  You think you’re handsome so you’re acting up?  Do you think you’re a doctor, you can be proud?  What if I give priority to my girlfriend over you?  What if I want to accompany Soph instead of you?  Do you think you’re a three-year-old child and want to be cajoled to eat?  Let me tell you, I’m not bad either.  My clients praised me, they trusted me and introduced a major client to my company.  My friend also praised me and wants me to join them as marketing manager.  I’m comparable to you and I also have suitors.  Although I liked you first, you confessed to me first.  We don’t owe each other anything and let me tell you, I also know how to dump people I hate you..”
“Arya, are you drunk?”  Jack shouted loudly on the other end.
The familiar tone made Arya suddenly cried out loudly and she hiccuped.  “Jack, Jack……Soph is leaving, she doesn’t want me.  Can you please tell her not to go?”  She cried and Sophia stretched out her foot to give her a kick.  “You are scolding your man, why did you mention me?”
Arya continued to cry.  “Jack, why do you treat me like this?  I feel very angry.  I don’t want you anymore.”
Jack’s voice sounded like he was gritting his teeth.  “Don’t talk nonsense.”
“I didn’t.  I’m unhappy and you are not good to me.  I was together with my ex-boyfriend for more than a year……but with you, I was only with you for two days.  Oh yes, how long did you say you were with your last girlfriend?  Three months?  But with me, it was only for two days!  Why is there so great a difference?”
Jack did not speak on the other end.  Arya also did not want to listen to him.  She scolded him endlessly and it made Sophia laughed. 
Arya held on to her phone and talked for several minutes, listing her various dissatisfactions and dislikes of Jack.  She talked and talked, and she was still talking when someone rang the doorbell. 
Sophia climbed up lazily from the sofa, sashayed to the door and looked out of the door viewer.  She could not help but smiled. 
When she opened the door, Jack was standing outside holding the phone.
