“Silence!!!” A voice commanded the whole room. This command alerted everyone in the room as each and every creature dashed to their own places. When everyone seemed to simmer down, the voice continued to speak.
“Now that I had called everyone’s attention, I think its best that I commence this meeting. Today, we have human guests among us. They were found by Kamilos, wandering along with the lair of the daughters of Arachne, and I was told that the majority of their family members were captured by these vicious creatures and they made a point to rescue their cousins from these monsters by obliterating them. Along with their cousins, they also saved some of our own. They saved the princess and her personal guards.” The man said in a loud clear voice that was able to capture the attention of everyone in the room. The news of them saving the Princess and her group seemed to be important towards these people for a lot of them let out a surprised gasp. The man who spoke was the infamous tribal leader, Kygo—Princess Ellia’s father, who was also the same man leading all these creatures. In other words, his title was that equivalent to a king of these lands. As the princess, Tribe Leader Kygo was also a mutated creature—but unlike her, her father was not a mix of man and a deer. Standing on all fours is a tough-looking Centaur, and sitting on the platform with him, where the elected leaders of other supernatural creatures were called the council. On the far-left side of the Tribal leader, was King Zarino of the elven tribe. The elven tribe was prided by their ethereal beauty. With elongated ears that highlight their elegance, and tall stature that had them towering over the others. Their ways of battle are also unparalleled for they are a master at the art of weaponry and martial arts.
Next to him, was the gorgeous regent Fairy Queen Seraphina, looking all glorious with her all-white sheer gown and enormous wings. The fairies along with the pixies may not par with the elves in terms of fighting, but the ace in the art of fairy magic. To others, Queen Seraphina may appear as a kind pushover queen that cannot hold her ground—but contrary to their belief, her bite is as vicious as her sneers. While on the far-right side of the tribe leader, was King Gunther of the dwarf kingdom who also happened to have power over creatures like Grub. King Gunther, like his kind, was a bunch of angry brooding creatures who live to argue with every other creature they meet. Maybe it was because they live in burrows deep within the ground where they get little to no sunlight, or they just love to ruffle the feathers of others. Lastly, sitting on the right side of the tribe leader was Kamilos looking too pleased with the tribe leader’s acknowledgment of the Blacksmith children’s feat as if he was their master or something. Though the old man doesn’t look anything like it, he’s the elected leader of the druid people, trents, and nymphs living in Terriona. Jullian smiled and thanked the forest nymph who sat beside them and told them all that information about the council and the tribe leader. The nymph was sure a chatty one. Staring at the old man’s pleased expression almost made Jade smile. From the moment they saw him back at the infinite forest, Kamilos was the most welcoming presence here at this strange place they were thrown into. “HUMANS? Here in Terriona? But that simply cannot be!!! You know those creatures are an aberration to nature!!!!” The Dwarf King seethed. Since the entirety of the Blacksmith children were seated inconspicuously in the middle of the crowd, the council and probably some other creatures were oblivious to their presence. “Pipe it down King Gunther, it’s too early in the morning to grace the crowd with your raspy voice.” Queen Seraphina uttered distastefully at the angry dwarf. King Gunther only threw the fairy queen a deadly glare in which the latter just ignored as if it was nothing. Then he proceeded to ask anyway. “What stupidity is this? How were these filthy humans allowed to enter our realm anyway? I thought the barriers were meant to prevent them from ever stepping inside Terriona?” “I agree with King Gunther. After the death of the late King Hanson’s family, humans have never been on good terms with the other citizens of Titania—from then on, all they ever crave for is chaos and more power. Who’s to say their presence in Terriona is not born out of ill-intention to end us all?” Queen Seraphina said after throwing the said humans a withering look. Mint felt like her knees were about to buckle over if not for the chair she was seated to with the intensity of the glare thrown at them by the fairy queen.
Upon hearing this, the tribe leader clenched his jaw. He appeared to be listening and taking the council’s reaction into consideration before making a verdict. “What of you King Zarino? Kamilos?” The tribe leader inquired at the other two council members. It was Kamilos who spoke first. “I know very well how appearances could be deceiving. After all, one of our own turned out to be a traitor—committing a sham and fooling all those humans into submitting to their quest for false power. On the contrary, I don’t believe these children have such impure thoughts in them—in fact, I strongly believe they are a victim of the wheels of fate.” “If what Kamilos says is true, I suggest we all hear what they have to say before we indict them for a crime never accomplished.” King Zarino calmly suggested. This may have caused a rise out of the other two (King Gunther and Queen Seraphina) council members. “Why listen to these children spout lies? Shall we wait for our kind to evaporate to the thin air before we take action?” King Gunther reacted. “This is stupidity!!!” the fairy queen hissed in anger. “SILENCE!!!” The tribe leader bellowed yet again. Whispers among the jury suddenly turned to pin-drop silence. The crowd’s attention was thrown back and forth towards the humans in question and their leaders. “May I remind you two that I do not tolerate impertinence within my court. I am yet to make my decisions. I respect your apprehensions against these humans, but I have to make a fair judgment. And I decree that these humans be allowed to speak their point before we determine their fates.” The tribe leader all but uttered with precision as if meant to intimidate the headstrong leaders. And it did. After that, the entirety of the Blacksmith children—including Lucy who was just back from taking a ‘pee break was called to come forth in front of Terriona’s esteemed council members. “Speak for yourself.” The tribe leader ordered. This caused temporary trouble among the cousins for no one seems to present all of them. “Let me answer all your queries on behalf of my family.” Hurricane as the appointed leader and the eldest of the cousins spoke. “If you please. Now child, why and how did you come to this place? What King Gunther said was indeed correct, you cannot pass through the barriers since we made it for the sole purpose of stopping humans from entering—yet you managed to breach it.” the tribal leader asked directly. “We really have no idea sir; I promise you we bring no ill-intentions for you and your people. We live in an alternate dimension different from this one. In fact, it all happened so fast—we were just huddling in the living room when an orc suddenly attacked us. So, we killed it—then suddenly… we were in that forest.” Hurricane answered in a confused manner. Like as planned, she deliberately excluded sharing about the book that truly was the catalyst that brought them all here. “Wait—did she say an orc?” asked Queen Seraphina. “Alternate dimension eh? What obvious LIES!!!!” This time it was King Gunther who shouted yet again. “If that is so then how did you manage to land in this place?” asked King Zarino. “This is getting way out of hand. King Gunther, please compose yourself! It is not a way for a man with a title such as yourself to just raise your voice in front of these people! It is unheard of. Guards, please escort everyone out of the room—excluding our guests.” Kygo, the tribe leader strictly ordered. At that, the guards immediately dashed into action and slowly ushered the creatures out of the room. Upon hearing the tribe leader’s orders, their people who were inside the room at that time complied without objection. When everybody including the guards was all outside, the shouting commenced inside the room once again. “What is this all about? Tell me this child is telling a lie!” Queen Seraphina huffed in frustration. “I don’t think so! It doesn’t seem to add up, maybe this is about that prophecy that was told 16 years ago?” King Zarino answered, uncertain of his answer. “What PROPHECY are you spouting about? That baloney that caused all these causeless wars?” King Gunther said. “Enough of this! What King Zarino said might be right. If this is about that prophecy that was foretold years ago, then we cannot just leave it be.” The tribe leader said while casually throwing the children with a skeptical look. “Tell me truthfully child, what really brought you here?” Kygo asked. The question has pertained to Hurricane. “I told you— “ “You told me nothing! Tell me the truth or I’ll force it out of you! We cannot blindly rely on the future of our kingdom in the hands of fake saviors, can we?” Kygo interrupted Hurricane.
“Why won’t you believe me?” Hurricane countered exasperatedly. She was running out of lies to tell, these people seem to know about the blasted book. Everyone was grilling her with their stares, and it was slightly wavering her resolve. “Because we need proof. If you are indeed the children the prophecy foretold all those years ago, then there must be something you could show or tell us that would make us believe otherwise.” Hurricane was truly confused now. What prophecy, and why are they accusing them of being part of it? What proof are they going to give if they don’t have any idea what in hell these strange people were talking about? “But what prophecy sir? We are truly sorry, but we have no inkling as to what this prophecy is all about… we are just a bunch of confused teenagers sir, we don’t even know why and how we came here!” Jade voiced out their thoughts. Her cousins all turned to stare at her worriedly.
“See? They don’t even know about the prophecy!!! This just proves that these children are mere intruders!” Queen Seraphina screeched while pointing at them. “Excuse me? Some of us here are already considered legal adults in our lands. I suggest you stop mistaking us for ignorant children!” Jade shouted in anger. “JADE!” Mint shouted in a semi-scolding manner. For a moment, she felt surprised at her sister’s sudden outburst… but her insolent act towards the council was uncalled for—they could get severely punished for that act alone. “What? It was bound to happen anyway! Ever since we saved that ungrateful princess and her subordinates, we’ve been receiving nothing but insults! Remember Mint—we are the victim here, we did them no wrong, yet we are treated as lowly criminals!” Jade seethed in anger. From the moment the tribe leader acknowledged their presence in the kingdom, she’s been holding back from the blatant insults the council has thrown at them. “Oh, my Gods, Jade stop that! We might get in trouble.” Aquamarine screeched worriedly. Her sister was going bat-shit crazy! “We are truly sorry for our insolence your highnesses; we truly meant your country no harm—we too have problems of our own. Do not worry, we will find our way out of here in no time.” Jullian said in an apologetic tone before slowly ushering her cousins out of the room. They were about to go out when Kygo spoke. “Wait! Did you just call her Jade?” That got them to stop and look back at the platform to where the council was still seated (Except the tribe leader—he was technically standing) at their rightful places. The tribal leader was sporting a confused look… and strangely, so were the others. “What now? You’ve got an issue with my name too?” Jade retorted sassily. They thought the tribal leader was going to take offense at her sass, but they were in for a surprise when instead of calling her for her disrespect, Kygo ignored her and turned to Kamilos who was sitting at his side-calmly watching how the situation would play out. “Kamilos, you knew about this?” Kygo asked the old tree man. Kamilos gave a slow shrug before answering. “I had a suspicion, but it was not yet proven true your highness.” “How about Ellia?” “She did not bother to know their names, your highness. The best guess is, she’s still unaware about this fact.” Kamilos answered calmly, yet again. “What are you talking about? Can anyone tell us about this prophecy? Please, we need to know something if we are indeed part of it.” Hurricane pleaded in frustration.
“I will if you tell me the truth about how you all came to be here.” Kygo countered. Then the stare-off between Hurricane and the tribal leader started, but it didn’t last long when Hurricane conceded. “A book.” “What?” “A book brought us all here,” Hurricane answered in a clipped tone. “What book?” “It’s some sort of a magical grimoire. Our grandma Isadora owns it.” This time it was Jullian who answered the tribe leader. Jade remained silent after Hurricane threw her a withering look as if warning her not to abuse the council’s good graces furthermore. They were lucky none of the royalties demanded the severance of their head yet. “Can you show us this book you’re talking about?” Kygo asked. “I can. But I don’t trust all of you—how can you assure us you won’t get the book from us?” Hurricane answered in a malicious tone. She was having trouble trusting these people—but they seem to be running out of options. “Please. You have my word; I just need to confirm something. The book’s all yours to have after we take a look at it.” The tribe leader pleaded in return. Hurricane assessed their situation and realized that there’s not much of a choice at their end, she decided to give it up. They needed answers anyway. And if the tribe leader’s as honorable as they say, then there was nothing to worry about… yet. After Hurricane told them the book’s whereabouts, the tribal leader immediately sent for it—but as a guarantee for Hurricane’s side, Jethro and Cyclone went with the soldiers. Twenty long minutes later, the group went back with the book wrapped with the head turban at hand. “Here’s the book.” Cyclone said while unwrapping the book from the makeshift bag it was placed into then proceeded to hand it to Hurricane who in return went towards the tribal leader and handed the book to him for closer inspection. The others of the council who were watching the exchange gasped at the sight of the book. They seemed to recognize it. “Dear Gods! Is that— “Queen Seraphina said in a shaken expression, one of her delicate hands flew to cover her surprise but failed to do so. “Yes, that’s the grimoire of the priestess. How were they able to get their hands on that thing?” King Zarino answered but ended up questioning too. “So, this means that prophecy foretold years ago was not merely a lie?” King Gunther said in disbelief. “It is true King Gunther. You just refuse to believe it. What that seer said before she died—that prophecy is now coming true. And these are the children of the prophecy, the ones who will stop this unending dispute against the Central Kingdom and the tribes. And by the Gods, we will aid them in making it happen.” Kamilos answered the dwarf king. “If what you’re saying is true—then, she is the earth elemental?” Queen Seraphina asked while pointing towards Jade. “What are you talking about? What earth elemental?” Jade asked in confusion. But her question was ignored still. “Perhaps she is. But with their memories gone—we can only guess.” “This is getting way out of hand. Guards!” Kygo shouted while calling for the soldiers who were standing guard just outside and waiting for him to beckon them. Three centaur guards rushed in haste at the tribal leader’s summons. They were as fast as the wind, and their hooves were deft against the cobbled-stone grounds of the castle. “Tell Luminos that his presence is needed here in Terriona. Make haste.” Kygo ordered sternly at the guards who acted abruptly upon orders. __________________ The moment the druid man, a satyr to be exact—arrived, the council has been arguing between themselves—not minding the children whose heads were still clouded with unanswered questions and the frustrations of being stuck in such strange land like an unending dream. A nightmare to be exact. “Master—council.” The satyr said before bowing down as a sign of respect. “Ah, Luminos! I have a job for you, and you must do this inconspicuously. No one besides the people inside this room, and the creature I am to send you for are to know what I’m about to tell you.” The satyr nodded in agreement. He doesn’t seem to be the curious type, that or it was part of his job to keep his thoughts within himself… Mint thought. “Tell me master, and it shall be done as you commanded.” “Go to the rebel camp… and call for Jago. Tell him the children of the prophecy are here in Terriona.” Kygo said with a grim tone. This worried Hurricane and the others, they seemed to have landed themselves in bigger trouble than they could handle this time.
