While trying to understand Alvin, the strange lady walked past not after placing a kiss on Alvin's cheeks.
I took a frown and the second she left through the front door, I turned as well, unfortunately, Alvin stopped me by holding my wrist.
"Lisa!! Where are you going?".
( He implored)
"None of your business!! Let go".
Apparently, following the tone of my voice, he pulls my hand away.
Immediately I walked out and he went after me, "Lisa!" He yelled and although I heard him calling, I couldn't bring myself to listen to what he had to say.
We kept up the pace, I ran outside and without looking a cab driver almost ran me over, thankfully Alvin came out on time and pulled me to safety.
"What the fuck is wrong with you!! Have you lost your mind".( He kept on yelling)
And that immediately provoked me, I nudged him away and said."yes!! I've lost my fucking mind!! How dare you have anything intimate with another woman!! Have you lost your mind as well, I thought!!".
"You thought what Lisa?". ( He paused reading the look on my face, I placed the same on my response and fell my eyes away from him.
"Nothing Alvin". I answered, yet he thought otherwise.
"Lisa tell me the truth!! What did you think? What are we?". ( Alvin imposed)
While he kept waiting for my response, Bryan's call came through and as usual, Chad kept on being trouble.
"Alvin!! I'll have to go".
In a haste, I left heading back home.
An hour later, I got home and run up to Chad's room, Bryan turns and immediately he ( Chad) noticed my presence.
"Hello, Lisa!" He says.
I took a few steps closer and sat next to him, "what happened!! Why do you always try to hurt yourself".
A sad look appeared on his face, his eyes drops, and after that Bryan joins into the conversation.
" Lisa!! Can we talk?".
(I turned and went out with him)
"What's going on!! It's getting difficult to understand Chad's attitude". ( My words to me, and he took a fast response to it, he says and I quote) "I totally understand, but Chad's a child, he needs the love of a mother!! So I'll be sending him to my late wife's mom, she will be able to take care of him.
And he was right, Chad indeed needs a guardian, I thought I would be able to do that but I can't, not after what Bryan has done to me, one way or the other, I'll have to get him parking out of my life, luckily Chad's leaving would give me a chance to get my work done, right after I get to the bottom of Alvin's weird behavior.
( Inaudible conversation)
Thereafter, I got to my room, got out of my clothes and into my nightwear, tucked myself in bed, and slept to the following morning.
The next morning, a hand weaves me up and I came face to face with aunt's home.
"Aunt!! You're here?"
I said getting up from the bed.
She smiled and said, "how are you, Lisa!! Because I've heard so much from Alvin and as a matter of fact, Mr. Alvin Fisher was the one that called me, and he sounded worried about you!! Can you please explain what the hell is going on and where's your mom?".
( Chapter ends with a surprised look on my face)

Hi, thank you for journeying with me, and now, it seems not only Lisa, but Alvin also has the ploy to expose Bryan and finally put an end to the mind games.
And now the next few chapters would be read in Alvin's POV.
It leaps one month later.
Alvin POV
I know y'all might be wondering, why I'm I acting strange, I'll tell you, after Lisa vented her anger the day we caught Bryan, I figured it was best to leave and before you say anything, it's for a good reason.
I've had this strong conviction that my distance towards Lisa would be of good benefits to him, he might either try to win her over or emotionally manipulate her into marrying him, either way, I'll have to expose and save my miss danger from him ( Lisa).
It's been a long day at the office, I returned home all exhausted and surprisingly found Lisa seated inside my room.
"Hello Alvin, can we talk.". She says.
A weak smile falls on my face, indeed I've been so busy at the office and almost forgot how much seeing my miss danger brightens up my mood.
"Yeah!! What's up?".
A stiff and cold attitude covered and she gears a confused glare at my behavior.
And said, "Alvin!! I've I maybe done something wrong and  do you remember the day we caught Bryan, you never really told me what the new plan was and now you're acting like there's nothing going on between us".
The word, "going on between us"felt like we were actually dating, and yes, Lisa is and has always been a part of me I cannot forget even after my death and as much as I'll love to fight alongside her, I'll have to fight this battle alone and get Bryan far.
And following up my theory, I said" tell me something!! I've we ever had anything going on between us? Apart from our contract marriage, is there something else growing".
"Something like?* She asked back.
And I said, "I don't know!! You tell me miss danger, what do you feel for me, I've you falling in love with me?".
Immediately, she got upset at my comment, and anytime Lisa gets unnecessarily angry, it would only mean t that my miss danger is actually in love with me.
Pardon me if I'm wrong, but my theory needs to be double-checked, I'll have to get Lisa to express her feeling for me, and yes, no need to ask, I've always been in love with her, after all, she isn't called heart for no reason??.
She ran out like a little child, her attitude got me smiling, as I walked off to the bathroom, finally retiring to bed.
( The following morning)
I got up holding up my phone, the drowsiness I felt washed off the second a notification popped  "Holy shit!! Today's Lisa's birthday".
The speed I used   running into the bathroom was the same used in driving to her home.
And she would likely be expecting me.
( Heart's mansion)
My feet ambled in and it seems Bryan had bitten me to it, by being the first person to gift her.
"Happy birthday Lisa"
She smiled and waddled her eyes back and found me standing at the front door.
"Oh!! Alvin, come on in?".
Following the sound of her voice I took a step further while Bryan veers and trust me, he had a long face seeing me there.
"Happy birthday miss danger".
I said gifting her a gold chain necklace...Question of the day?.
1) Lisa's birthday might end up being a fight for her heart.
2) can Bryan contain his anger seeing Alvin close to the one he loves? And will Alvin keep up the charade?.
