Chapter twenty six Marshall turned around and found a stick, strong and solid. "Long time I whacked something, " he said while picking it up and flinging it in the air. Walking back to me, he hit the stick on his palm gently and smiled wickedly. Half way here, he dashed the rest of the distance and possessed me, giving me that usual strength and balls, and of course the eyes. I looked down at my hand, noticing I was now the one holding the stick. I don't know about you but this was the best thing ever. Our leader seemed to be back on track as well. His smile came back on and he went back to giving orders, "On my mark people. One, two, three...." And it happened in this order. Clinton went into Edna. Kella to Anthony. Chris to David. Clara to Angela. And Fred to Jessica. Then we faced the determined men, running to them. In my imagination, I saw everything happen in slow motion, then the same blue fairy dust leaving our backs like a rocket fire to boost our speed. And it was epic. When I reached my own set of opponents, I clutched the stick harder, consequently setting it on fire, literally. I used the burning stick to whack the men, either burning their skin or setting their clothes ablaze until they ran crazy and tore them off. Naked men... No shame... At least they proved their lives mattered more. David just enjoyed forming dimensional portals under each man by just clenching and opening his fists continuously. The men would fall through it and end up anywhere David wanted it to open at, even outer space. I didn't expect anything less from a muse like Chris. As all this went on, our leader, Jessica just stood and watched as some form of back up, as leader. Arrgghh... Fred as always. Angela felt better exchanging fists and breaths, breaths that actually froze the men up to ice. How splendid. Anthony and Edna just kicked and punched, breaking bones and teeth. This madness continued for a while until Jessica shouted out to us, "The fallen are here." Then the madness ceased, with two-thirds of the men in another dimension or frozen to ice, a seventh naked and a sixth with broken bones. Hahhhhh! At least we didn't kill anyone. We all looked left and eyed the ten figures that walked into the field. The villains, aka, the FALLEN. They seemed very angry. But why? Oh I remember... Because we are somehow very pesky and desperate opponents. Well we weren't sorry. "I told you she'd be here in fifteen, " I said proudly. Amaya, who was in the center of the ten, tilted her head with a forced smile, " Interesting. I do not remember a rendezvous." Edna stood up from the man she had been punching and strode to them, "Where's the idol?" "Ohhh. You want it?" Badass hair cut asked with sarcasm. The idiot who broke my sister's heart shook his blonde hair off his face, looking straight at me because he knew we had scores to settle, "Who sent out those muse waves?" I grinned with great pleasure, placing a hand on my chest daringly, "Oh I did that." I expected him to answer, so I could answer back, and say something darn annoying. Just so he could be mad and retort back. Then given Marshall's temper, we would go into a one-on-one clash and I'll make sure to tear that blonde hair off. But he didn't. Amaya rather did, "Marshall. I swear I knew it was you. I dare you to leave your host's body." I frowned in confusion, wondering what she was going to gain from that, "Why so?" "Oh you'll see, " she said with a shrug and smile. Yeah right. Like my muse was that foolish. I narrowed my eyes at her, studying her ruefully, "Let's have a duel. Fair and square. No escapes or anymore of your usual cons. If you lose, you let me make the wish that could save all of us, as impossible as it may seem. But if you win, you do whatsoever you want and I won't stop you. As painful as it may be." My friends looked at me skeptically. They clearly had a problem with this deal, even if they didn't say it, mainly because they felt I got this. Still, Amaya was not to be trusted. She smiled at me, thinking for a while before saying, "Fine." She wasn't going to make this easy. This we knew. And she was about to prove it. Swirling her head, she had this shade of yellow for her eyes, one that made my friends flinch. I just watched her, wondering what her intentions were. She raised an arm up and opened her hand. At this, the idol was teleported from the tower and was right there, on her hand. I couldn't hide my fear now. The idol was really broken and the spirit was out now, just floating above it. The spirit looked human, like an ancient English nobleman in breeches and a waist coat. He just closed his eyes with a frown. Seemed the waves still had an effect on him. But we forgot about something. Kuma still repelled the muses who hadn't touched him yet, mainly because in normal terms, they were not supposed to. And now it was out, the repulsion was even stronger. Suddenly, I felt Marshall fiercely leave my body, as if he was pushed back, out of me. Not just me, the other five muses in my clan left their hosts bodies in the same manner. I shook in fear and watched the fallen. Kuma's repulsion must have affected our muses, pushing them away that they left our bodies and landed hard on the wall behind. Almost like bringing two similar poles of a magnet together. One always pushed the other away. We hosts weren't spiritual, so the repulsion didn't have an effect on us. We just had this written fear on our faces as we were very vulnerable and unprotected at the moment right in front of the villains. And this was exactly what Amaya wanted to gain. Was she so determined to link energies with Marshall that she had to force him out of my body?
