Chapter thirty two

Chapter thirty two
We went back to the building top that I loved teleporting us to.
I think it was now Amaya got fed up of all the stories and teleportation.
"Make it stop!" Alfred screamed with his hands on his head.
He made me smile and began stalking up to him with the most threatening look I had. His lips seemed to shiver while he took slow backward steps.
"Oh no," I said with a snarl, "I won't make it stop. Not until you remember every little bit of it and judge yourself."
When he realized he was close to the edge, he stopped and studied the place we were on, "What's up with this building?"
I put a hand on my chest dramatically. With a shake of my head, I asked, "How can you forget so easily? Our very own death bed."
Alfred frowned and looked around the place, then up at me, with a face as if he now knew what I was talking about, "Marshall. Calm down."
"Don't tell me to calm down!" I screamed and punched the air angrily, "you remember it now? Now let's get back to my story. After all of Amaya's effort to make life hell for her brother and please the world, nobody gave in to her. I mean what did you expect!"
Alfred shook his head, bowing in what I thought was surrender.
I sniffed in, blinking back my tears and forcing my speech out, "Then the only alternative was to get her only obstacle out of the way. Her big old brother, Marshall Godwin. The only person who actually wanted deliverance for you from whatever bewitched you."
He then looked up at me and for the first time, willfully listened to my story. He looked angry.. most likely with himself.
I took advantage of that of course, "And by getting me out of the way, you meant homicide right. I was mom's greatest gem and you knew that. And on her birthday, the best gift you could give her was taking that gem away from her. You killed me Amaya. You killed us."
He began to cry bitterly, looking up at me with the softest eyes he'd ever had. I mean too soft for you to think it was real. And of course I wasn't buying the crocodile tears. Neither was I done with him.
I flapped my wings once, the streak of wind pushed Alfred off the edge of the building. He began falling the whole length down. I jumped off as well, diving down to catch up with him. Halfway down, I grabbed his collar and brought him to my face, "You pushed me off this very same building!"
He struggled out of my grip, realising we were reaching the floor. Just before we landed, I curved my wings to a canopy, giving us buoyancy. We just floated slightly above the ground, with my grip on him, "Then somehow, you got hooked to me when you pushed me off. Isn't Karma beautiful. Both of us falling to our deaths was the last memory I had with my sister. The end."
After that, I teleported us back to the abandoned school where the rest were.
Alfred's guilt turned into anger. That was totally not the emotion I expected. He brought his right hand to his front and looked at it. It was a bit too late before I understood what he was doing. I saw his right claws lengthen and a weird kind of aura surrounding it. Should I call that charging it up or? It sure did seem like it. And here I was standing and watching in confusion, wondering who that was for.
But unknown to me, the story I told had no effect.
He rushed to me with a scream, held my shoulder with his left hand and stabbed through my heart with his stronger claws.
I gasped and looked up at him, tears blinding me slowly. Shivering, my eyes went down to my chest and for the first time, I realized I was bleeding. No sound could even escape my lips.
He then rasped into my ear as I crumbled down slowly, "Maybe all I had to do was kill you again."
Then he let me go and I dropped like a sack. Even in max, this was something no one in the world should ever feel. Even me! My hands shook as I raised them to my bloody chest, "What have you done?"
He looked down on me, " I didn't expect that to work though. Either way, I am one step ahead of you."
I panted painfully, trying not to close my eyes or conclude this as the end. With what I felt, I really doubted I could fight again unless I reached something higher than max, which clearly did not exist. It was like your heart was literally squeezed in your chest with a hard fist, at the same time someone else was poking your lungs, then you had someone at your feet chopping your toes off with an axe. Then finally, your mom shouting into your ears. That was hell when combined.
I looked at Kuma who shook his head in disappointment. I'm sure this is not what he expected from the fallen. I pleaded with my eyes. He was our spirit right. He should know how to help me. In frustration, he sighed and closed in eyes shortly.
That was when my chest stopped bleeding and the biting pain stopped hurting. I returned my attention to Alfred who was frowning in confusion.
Ever so slowly, I got up and staggered to my balance, spreading my wings wide apart with a smile. My brother was dumb in shock because a few seconds ago I was helpless on the floor. Luckily for me, I have our muse idol by my side. The holes in my chest needed just a few seconds to heal completely, then I was back on track.
My eyes were no more a blood shade of red. Deep inside it, it felt a flame was burning somewhere behind my cornea. Phenomenal.
I smiled my gratitude to Kuma who returned it. That was when Alfred understood what was happening.
He began walking back, "Your eyes Marshall."
I shrugged with a smirk, "I'm just as confused as you are Amaya Godwin. But what I'm very sure of is you're dead meat."
Alfred began running away when I made the both of us teleport to the field where the main war was going on. Everybody stopped fighting each other. Or should I say, my clan stopped beating up the fallen. They all watched me, some kinda unexplainable monster.
Fred put his hands in his coat pockets and sighed, "We need scientific explanation for this Kella."
"I mean why's this level called max when there's a successor?" Angela  asked with a frown on.
I looked down on Alfred on the grass while answering their questions, "Let's just say I got a little help from Kuma over there."
The fallen suddenly stopped whatever they were doing and looked at my entire crew. It was clear they were on a disadvantage and they knew this. Fear was the new emotion on all their faces, even Alfred that lay before me.
"Oh what am I gonna do with you?" I asked a question I didn't expect him to answer.
He turned to plead with his allies for help who immediately stalked to us inorder to support their leader.
With my hands on my waist, I stared at all of them wondering where they all got their balls from, "Just so you know, the probability of me going down in this is zero."
My statement made frowns on their faces, giving them some determination to prove me wrong.
And at the same time, they all came at me. I took them one by one of course; kicking, punching, blasting and pushing with a streak of wind. Yet I made it clear I intended to fight with Alfred alone. Wings to claws, my brother and I slashed our weapons against each other. At the point I got tired of that, I held the claws with both hands. He watched me in confusion, figuring what I wanted to do a little to late to stop it. I put in half the strength I had to bend those claws.  A few seconds of him screaming in pain and his only weapons came crumbling onto the ground like broken glasses. He watched his bare fingers bleed and shook like a leaf, noticing his only strength was gone. And as expected, since his anger was gone, his max level was gone as well. He began to run away now. Well that was not a hot ending for a fight. And I wasn't satisfied.
I swirled and clutched him to myself, flying high up into the sky that the both of us were out of sight.
A few seconds passed of all the rest looking up into the sky for where we might be. Then the next sudden move was Alfred landing hard with a deep compression in the ground. I had punched him down!
Afterwards, I landed on my feet and walked to my brother. Pulling him up by the collar, I forced his gaze into my fiery eyes. I held out my other hand to form a blast which I painfully wanted to put through his chest. To be honest, I don't know what Marshall was making me do. That was certainly going to kill my brother.
"Edward don't do it, " Angela said with a shaky voice. But it wasn't me. It was my muse.
I smiled, figuring the merciful difference between my clan and theirs. At that, I dropped Alfred down and closed my eyes tiredly, calming every nerve in my body. This was me leaving max. My angry panting even subsided. By the time I opened my eyes, they were back to the normal blue glow. My wings vanished away and my mood lightened.
Inorder to keep the good mood, I turned away from Alfred and began walking to Kuma. Halfway then, I figured I could not make any wish because the repulsion was back again. Just then, Marshall left my body and turned back to Alfred.
"Leave his body right now, " Marshall commanded.
Obediently, Amaya came out of Alfred and bowed her head before her angry brother.
He eyed her a bit and shook his head, "Now because of you, Kuma is full and we have to make a wish that might save all of us. Unfortunately, I can't reach the idol. Thanks a lot for making everything in my life hell, before and after death!" I looked at my muse trying his best not to shed a tear, though unsuccessfully. I almost shed a tear as well. I mean we all would have. Sometimes selfishness and jealousy could blind someone so much that he won't think of the consequences of his actions. And I guess now the consequences were obvious, they all had the slightest sign of guilt in their eyes.
Amaya raised a shoulder while she took her gaze so slowly to look at her brother, "I just wanted to go back to life."
"Go back to life?" Marshall asked with irritation in his voice, "Go back to life just so you could ruin the legacy I left behind right?"
She shook when he shouted a bit while he finished his sentence, playing with her hands just to avoid his lethal gaze.
His tears became even more obvious now, determined to pour all he had in his chest out, "I always wanted a little sister that I could protect. But you turned out to be the one I needed protection from. You..... are a curse."
At his words, Amaya looked up at him sadly.
