Chapter one hundred and eleven

After working some hours with Mr. George and Mr. Alex, who was also the victim bom the case. I decided to call my wife and inform her of the latest improvement. I called my wife, Liz to inform her that I won't be coming home that day.
"Darling, you mean you'll be working late at night? You won't sleep at all?? You know I don't like night work." She complained, in a way to dissuade me Dr staying chair.
"Calm down my love." I said, to pacify her before she changes her mind. "You know the case I told you I was working on, the kidnap case?
"Yeah yeah, I remember that. What about it? She asked, curiously.
"Well, we got a lead today and need to work on it throughout out the day, and even some time in the night or I might miss it." I explained.
"Alright darling. Hope you'll have something to eat? I won't hear otherwise."
"Definitely, I will. Take care of yourself and the kids, okay. I love you."
"I love you too my sweetheart."
I ended the call and focused on what we were doing. I had to call and tell her on time, or she'll start getting angry about it. She always fusses about having dinner so late or not gabi
We were using George's house for what we were doing and we needed it at least, till mid night. I wondered if George would accept to let us stay for that long. I wouldn't mind, as far as I can get hold on the culprit.
By now, the tracker had started moving, meaning that Sonia was on the move. It also indicated that they left the car at the train station and she was in the train that just started moving.
We monitored her movements from the first train stop, to the last one. George was so good at what he did, as he made it quite easy for us and I was indeed very grateful.
I wouldn't have gotten to this if he wasn't here. We didn't have any of the facilities and equipments he was using and that opened my eyes to see how backward I and my team was.
I called for a back up team, two of my best spies who were good fighters as well. They worked directly for me and not for the agency and they only took orders from me, when work is concerned.
I asked for a signal phone and George gave me two of them, for my two spies. I learnt that, one big the signal phone cost about $300.
Alex has been very uneasy since his wife left and he refused to sit down one place. He has been pacing and restless, asking questions upon questions. I tried not to fuss about it, as I understand how he felt at that moment. He only needed our support and encouragement and also, a positive response from what we were doing to give him peace of mind.
I called George by the side and pleaded with him to let us stay over at the office for the night, till the next morning, with the hope that we'll get what we were looking for by then.
George agreed and said he was interested in helping the family no matter what it'll cost and he signed up for the task deliberately, so he wasn't expecting any compensation from anyone.
I was so glad when I heard that from him and that gave me the courage to give straight and concrete orders to my team members.
After handling the signal phone to the two spies and my undercover cop, I gave them some simple instructions, and they left.
Their job was to find out where Sonia was headed till she gets to the last place where they'll stop moving her and that's when they would attack and save the kidnapped.
I already sent for a back up team who would join them as soon as they give a feedback on getting the exact location of the kidnapped people and the people who were behind all of that.
From the tracker, we noticed that Sonia stopped at the last train stop and she started moving again. A vehicle picked her up from the road and took her somewhere.
After a while, we noticed that the tracker on the necklace went off. That was an indication that it had been destroyed. So, we were left with the one that she swallowed up before going. It would be difficult for it to be found, and if it gets found, we might likely be doomed in this search of ours.
I got Informations from the spies and some of their coordinates weren't corresponding with each other, I had to opt for a different way to get what I wanted.
Sonia stopped moving for a while, by then it was past ten in the night. I guess they asked her to stay over somewhere, which we confirmed wasn't a place they kept the rest.
We monitored her for sometime, till we were sure that she was safe. I got some messages from my colleagues on the other side, and they gave me details of every houses, cars and routes she took on her way to where they were going to.
After some time, George returned with some snacks and drinks and handed it to everyone of us in the room. That passed as dinner for tonight, and perhaps the next day we will figure what else to use for breakfast.

Since Sonia left, I've been the ghost of myself. I started to regret why I left on the first place. Not minding that fact that, on a normal ground, I was supposed to get angry, at least after seeing a paper that contained the DNA test result of my two children, which I had thought were mine. I had the right to get so angry, but I let it get into me and stayed away from home for days, leaving her to handle things on herself.
Right now, I'm really regretting the moment I left the house and went to the hotel to stay. I was so glad and happy that I did not end up sleeping with that Stacy girl, or they would have sent my to my early grave.
I was walking around, because I wasn't comfortable sitting down. I wished the case was turned and I was ask to instead of my wife.
I hoped and prayed silently that they don't touch her or handle her roughly. At this point in my life, I was bare. I was on my own, I had nothing! My kids were not yet found, and now my wife has been asked to go to a dead zone, a place where she can hardly return from. I would be a dead man if she does return from that journey and my life would never remain the same.
I went to detective Jide to ask how the work was progressing, as I couldn't sit one place and watch what they were doing.
"Mr. Alex, please you'll need to get yourself relaxed okay. I know it might be a difficult task for you, but I'm quite sure that it will be better for you that the fact that you are so restless."
"But, detective. You know what you are asking me to do is something that is very difficult to achieve. My wife is the middle of no where and the only way I could communicate with her is through the spies that are out there. So, that actually mean that I cannot change it, I cannot do anything about it. I only need to pause once in a while to get my grip back.
Luckily for me, the detective and his team as well as the tech guy who opted to help us were working so well and giving us positive feedback. They were positive feedback to others, but I was scared and to me, it looked like she was getting closer to her nemesis.
I had to caution myself to be positive about all of it, as the others were, perhaps that would give us a upper hand on that.
I remembered that I didn't see my mother-in-law when returned home earlier, before going to George's place for the tech part of the things needed.
When they said that Sonia was In a safe place for the night and wouldn't be moved to any place, till early the next morning.
That lightened my mood for the night and I thought that I could sleep to an extent for the night till we start again the next day.
Tomorrow would be hectic day for all of us, because that is where the main work lies in. I hope they will be able to find her and the kids, and Nancy who was abducted as well.
I went to sleep on a chair in his room, which has a very soft foam on it, hoping to wake up to a good news the next day.
