After Eddy returned home from wherever he went to few days ago after we had the fight. He has been acting so cool and nice towards me.
He went for shopping and got a lot of foodstuffs, and household goods. That was something he stopped doing in a long while. He would rather give me the money to do them myself while he does his own thing.
All these while, I just acted like I wasn't seeing what he was doing. I pretended not to care, but deep inside me, I was glad that he was changing.
Perhaps, the fight was necessary because only then did we come to our senses.
After I got to know from Alex that Sonia was asked to come to a train station, I wasn't so much of myself as I was scared I was going to lose her. I mean, the others who have been missing have never been found, there was no much guarantee that she would be this time.
Though, Alex explained that she had a tracker and they were working on sending people on a lookout for her, so she doesn't get lost without a trace. I hoped and prayed the plan would work, because aside my family, she is the only one I have.
I didn't go to work today, I opted to work from home as I explained that I had no reasons for coming to work. Luckily, I was granted the request to work from home.
I spent only two hours on the laptop doing some office work and after that, I tossed it aside and went to the kitchen to find something to eat.
Eddy was in the sitting room watching a movie, so I ignored him and headed to the kitchen. I prepared spaghetti with sauce and went to the dinning room to eat.
Eddy perceived the food from where he was and he came to the dinning room.
"Woa! Babe, what are you doing? The aroma of the food is turning me nuts. Can I get a spoon? He asked, though with a touch of sarcasm.
Did he just call me babe? He called me what? I said in my head. Not willing to let it out at the moment.
"Just a spoon please." He said again.
"What? I asked, trying not to play along with him.
He sat down on the dinning chair and folded his arms, looking at me and then the food. "I said, I want to taste what you cooked."
"It has been just five of us in the house since few days now, I'm wondering why you came back!" I said, still eating the food like I he never said anything.
"Come on sweetheart. I had to come back home, here's our home, isn't it?
"Why did you come back? I asked again, this time, bluntly.
He stared at me like I was hurting his ego, which I knew I was, but that didn't change a thing to me. I only wanted the truth from him, that's all.
"I had to come back home and, sort some pending things out." He answered, not sure of what he was saying.
"So, that's the reason you came back. Well, there are no pending issues here, so you can as well go back to where you are coming from. We have been okay." I answered, wanting to see what is reaction would be.
He sighed lightly, like he was confused. After a while, he spoke up. "Alright, alright. I missed home, a lot. I missed the kids. I missed my Ammy and then, I knew that I had missed you a lot and I needed you so much. I had to, I had to change my mind and come home." He answered.
I looked at him for sometime and saw that he was actually saying the truth.
"So, you want me to believe that you, Edison Mambira, you missed me, Jessica Mambira? Well that's so Impossible to believe, I really can not believe it even if I do." I answered
He came and sat much nearer to me. "Darling, I'm really sorry I made things quite difficult for you okay. I reflected about a lot of things lately and I realized I have been a badass husband. Please, forgive me my Sweetheart, I promise it wouldn't again."
I could see the sincerity in his eyes, but I still wanted to say no, to make him feel so bad for all the things he had done. I changed my mind about it though and decided to let it pass.
"I wasn't planning on saying anything to you about that, but on second thought, I forgive you." I answered.
"Oh my goodness, baby. Thank you for accepting me back my love." He said, rushing to me and giving me a very tight hug.
"Babe, thank you so much. You deserve the best and I promise, I will try as much as possible to make it up for you."
"It's fine I don't really need any of that from you. I just want you to take a very good care of the kids." I said calmly.
"They are my kids too, and you know, I owe them a good Saturday father's treat." He answered, smiling as he thought about a lot of things.
"That's fine. If you need some food. You can go to the kitchen and help yourself out."
"Ah ah ah. I wasn't expecting that, but then, that's fine, thank you."
He got up and left the dinning room, and went to the kitchen to get some food for himself, after I allowed him to do so.
So, right now, I and my husband were in good talking terms and are friends again. Well, that sparked a kind of joy and happiness in me like I've never felt in a while and I was really grateful for it.
Eddy returned to the dinning room with his food served in a ceramic plates. He had it on a tray with a natural fruit juice as well. He sat down beside me and we talked while we ate, laughing and exchanging funny jokes.
After I was done eating, I washed off my plates immediately. Then, I left the dinning room and headed to our room. I started thinking of what to do.
In a long while now, I have not had the opportunity to have a normal cool conversation with Eddy without having loggerheads with him. Today, I felt special and more fulfilled and I didn't want it to cease. I was scared that, it could only be for just today and everything will go back to the normal way it used to be. The more I thought about it, the scarier I felt. I decided that I was going to do something about it.
I took my car keys and told Eddy that I want to get something outside and that, I would be back in a jiffy. He told me to be careful, so I left.
I got to my kids school and went to meet with the school principal of the school to allow them go off only for that day.
Luckily, I was able to get a permit from the school principal, so I took my kids home.
Eddy was surprised to see them home by that time, so I just figured out a nice excuse for him which he believed and I closed the matter.
A little while after I got home with the kids, I suggested that we go have some fun outside, all of us together. The kids, as usual were always on my side whenever it comes to anything concerning one major problem!
Edison gave the excuse that he was so tired and that he needed some more rest after the stress of the day. But, the kids were not taking no for an answer, so they kept nudging him till he finally agreed to go out with us. I was very glad that they made him change his mind. I felt, my dream come true infront of me.
I helped the kids pick out beautiful clothes that they would wear. When we chose what we wanted for ourselves, we dressed up quickly, which when we were done, Eddy offered to do the driving himself. He drove us to a funfair or to the amusement park. I was so excited about the whole thing, especially when we got there and I believe the kids were excited as well. We played different kinds of games, tried the ones we haven't done. We were having a lot of fun and no one was ready to go back home.
We spent about four hours playing a lot of games and to our fill. By this time we were so tired, so worn out and needed to rest. Eddy decided that we stop by at a very good restaurant and grab something to eat before heading back home.
He took us to an expensive restaurant. The first time I saw the menus, I almost screamed! But I did scream, in my head. Eddy noticed my reaction and asked that I calm down since he'll foot the bills himself. I was glad I took that bold step, to do what I did today, in order spend some quality time with my family.
Today was one of the most beautiful day I won't forget in a hurry. I was so glad that I started singing one of my favorite songs.
We got home an hour later and everyone went to refreshen up. I joined Eddy in the bathroom and we had our bath together and still had some hot romance.
Generally, I would say, I'm fulfilled.
