Careen and Wisdom were in an Uber ride heading to the Heavens Gate hotel. Careen was on a phone call with her Dad.
     "We're driving to the hotel right now. Where are you right now?", Mr Eddie inquired over the phone.
     "We ordered an Uber ride. We're on our way. Give us like five minutes Dad", Careen replied. Dad ended the call.
     Why of all jobs a restaurant cleaner the best for you to tell Catherine?", Wisdom asked curiously.
     "It was the first thing I thought of when she was probing into my life on where I always work", she replied casually.
     "So she has never one day tried visiting you at Crunches?", he asked another with a gesture.
     "Nah!"Careen shook her head, "She doesn't like going to restaurant because she can prepare a lot of snacks herself herself at home.
     "Now I see why you told her you're a restaurant cleaner. Wisdom nodded his head with knowing smile.
     "I used my head bro...I used my head, she winked at him, aiming at her head.
     "But damn! Your best is beautiful, a one in a million kind of person", Wisdom playfully bumped his shoulder against Careen's own.
     "Don't tell me you're  already drooling over here", Careen stared at him.
     "I think I've found love", he placed his hand on his chest. "I can feel my heart beating faster", he said unnaturally.
     Careen gave out a loud chortle. "Your heart? Beating faster?", she bursted out of laughter again.  "You think that's how love works?", she teased him.
     "But I feel this one I'm harbouring is the real one", he felt worried.
     Please we'll have this conversation when we get drone with what we're going to do. Have you heard?", she laughed calmly at him and then faced her front.
     "I'm already well prepared for this conversation in the nearest future"Wisdom spoke in a poised manner. Careen only giggled in return and shook her head.

Careen led everyone, Wisdom, her Dad and the rest of the police force into the security control room. She went to the toilet and stood by the door.
"He's in here", she informed everyone, pointing at the door.
"Who's there? Tell me who you are at once", the computer operator yelled from inside.
"How did you know he was in there all along?", her Dad questioned, feeling surprised.
"Well...my instincts", Careen looked away. Her Dad watched her in suspicion.
A constable opened the door and he, accompanied by another went in and brought out the man from the toilet. He was handcuffed.
Mr Eddie gazed at him with disgust on seeing the criminal on only boxers. "What were you doing in there?", he questioned.
The culprit knew where Mr Eddie's mind had travelled to and quickly defended himself. "It's not what you're thinking about, a girl trapped me in that toilet after making me feel she only wanted to get her legs over with me", he explained.
Wisdom, Mr Eddie and the constables immediately turned to Careen in sync, who avoided eye contacts with all of them, looking upwards and whistling as she tapped her foot on the floor. Mr Eddie did not want to think Careen did that though.
"Who's the girl that locked you up in there?", he asked the culprit.
"Are you sure you'd still remember the lady that did that to you?", Careen intervened, feeling anxious as she asked the man.
"Why won't I remember who she is?!", he replied sharply to her, "It's the newly employed female chef meant to be cooking for the Spanish guests. She was the one who even took off my clothes, not knowing it was all a plan", he said, glaring at everyone around him.
"Took off your clothes?", Mr Eddie looked at Careen with a confused expression.
"Thought she planned with you guys?", questioned the computer operator.
"You shouldn't be accusing an innocent lady of such thing. You were inside there satisfying yourself for sure", Careen snapped at him.
"And it was locked outside?", he stared at her, looking baffled.
"You alone know how you locked it while inside", Careen argued sheepishly.
"What?!", the man gazed at her in confusion, "Why are you even supporting a girl you don't even know?", he became devastated. Careen wanted arguing further but her Dad intervened and hushed her.
"Take this man away", he commanded the constables.
"But did you guys do anything stupid?", Careen questioned the man in a hurry before they would take him out of the security room.
"No! She just deceived me and ended up locking me in there", the man answered vaguely. The constables took him out of the room.
Mr Eddie looked at his daughter with a straight face, who felt too ashamed to look at her Dad straight to the eyes. Dad suddenly giggled and turned away, before leaving her and Wisdom in the room.
In as much as she could not fathom why her Dad giggled and walked away without saying a word, she felt he had something good. This made her almost totally relieved.
Wisdom came from behind and stood by her, crossing his hand across her shoulders. "Someone feels so relieved I bet", he simpered at her.
"Why won't I be relieved? Do you know what it means for my Dad to think I slept with someone on the job?", she expressed a troubled face.
"The way you argued for that girl...", he teased her, chuckling over it, "You never seem to give up, don't you?"
"What did you expect me to do?", she playfully behaved annoyed, flung Wisdom's hand away from her and minced out of the security room.
"Okay fine! I'm sorry", he laughed as he played along and left the room also. "Wait for me!", he exclaimed, hurrying up to catch up with her.

They both went out of the lift and got into the ground floor. They were heading for the exit door when Careen sighted the five Spanish guests complaining to the receptionist about something.
"Oh! See people we are meant to be cooking for", she smiled, "Follow me!", she held Wisdom's hand and dragged him along.
"Why are you guys making noise?", she interrupted the men, wearing a sly smile. The men stared at her in confusion because they did not know who she was and why she asked such question. "Oh!", she exclaimed, understanding what was going on. She simply showed everyone her batch and said to them;"I'm a police officer."
"The chefs that were employed to cook for us are missing. The receptionist needs to explain this to us. We are really hungry right now", one of the Spanish guests narrated.
"They did not get missing. An hour ago, they were seen leaving this hotel with the police, not even treated like criminals", said the receptionist.
"Then who will cook the meals for us?", inquired another man.
"My partner and I will prepare meal for you guys", Careen gestured. Wisdom turned to her, gazing at her with shock.
"You can prepare Spanish meals?", asked the receptionist, feeling relieved.
"Yeah! And we'll do it for free", she added. All got awed by what she said, except for Wisdom who went dumbfounded.
"Are you serious?", the receptionist became delighted.
Careen chuckled over the question. "Why would I be joking? I mean I can start right now if possible", she grinned.
"Yes! Yes!", one of the guests exclaimed desperately, "We're all starving at the moment", he pleaded. His friends nodded in support.
"Just hold on! Let me inform my Dad of the new change of plans", she brought out her phone from her pocket. She dialed her Dad's number and he picked up almost immediately.
"What's going on?", her Dad asked over the phone.
"I'll be staying back with Wisdom to prepare some Spanish meals for the Spanish guests here. They said their chefs left the place with the police", Careen informed him.
"Okay!", her Dad replied and hanged up the call immediately.
She got astonished by his actions, gaping at her phone. Everyone was waiting eagerly for the feedback.
"What did your Dad say?", the receptionist asked her.
"Uhmmm...he has no problem with it", she answered, still wondering why her Dad hanged up the call suddenly on her.
The receptionist felt even more relieved, the guests were very happy. Only Wisdom did not like the feedback.
"Where's the kitchen then?", asked Careen.

Careen and Wisdom were in the interrogation room with ty computer operator. The computer operator was stating his own side of the story.
"...I wasn't involved in the drug business directly. I was just a mere security operator that made sure the hotel wasn't threatened", he concluded.
"To be honest...my sixth sense told me to believe in what you said", Careen replied.
"You were simply under someone and was scared of losing your job...so I understand", Wisdom added with a nod of the head.
"I'm so grateful to God for witnessing a time when the police cooperated with the suspect", he said, looking up to the Heavens.
"But you have to convince my Dad. He's someone that always preaches about supporting the truth no matter the position you think you are in"Careen smirked at him.
"So I'll still have a conversation with your Dad? Is he the Chief Constable?", the man questioned.
"Oh yeah!", Careen replied with a mischievous smile. The man became worried. Both she and Wisdom watched him, wearing evil smiles.

Wisdom was making a phone call, having a conversation with Catherine in the science lab when Careen joined him, sitting beside him. She paid attention to Wisdom's conversation about her best friend. Nicholas and Sarah sat somewhere in the lab, having a playful chat.
"So when am I going to get my birthday cake?", Wisdom asked, smiling widely.
"So his birthday is coming soon?", Careen thought.
"Yeah! Nice doing business with you", he said and and ended the call.
"Happy birthday in advance mate", Careen wished him, bumping his shoulder with her first.
"My birthday is in five months", Wisdom stared at her in confusion.
"Then why are you ordering a birthday cake from Catherine?", Careen got confused.
"Oh!", he laughed over it, "I'm trying to get closed to somebody here", he said.
Careen shook her head, sighing with disappointment. "All these for lust!", she felt disgusted.
"It's love...not lust"Wisdom frowned at her.
"Speaking of Catherine, I need to go and see her now before she gets mad", she reminded her.
"Oh yes!", he exclaimed, "Can I come along?", Wisdom smiled weirdly at her, raising his eyebrows.
"Why not? Aren't you trying to win someone's heart over", she smirked at him.
"Let's get going then", Wisdom got up and she did too. They were about leaving the lab when Nicholas called on them.
"You guys are going?", he questioned.
"Yeah! See you guys tomorrow!", Careen waved at them, smiling cheerfully.
"Bye guys!", Wisdom smiled magnetically at them. Nicholas and Sarah both waved back in return.
"Have a nice day guys!", Sarah greeted. Careen and Wisdom then left the lab, Wisdom closed the door.
Careen went ahead of Wisdom, who stopped to assess the clothes he was putting on. She turned back in surprise and asked;"You don't want to follow me again?"
"Can we stop by my place so I could put on better clothes? You know...I'm trying to impress Catherine here", he requested.
Careen gave out a heavy sigh in letdown. She said nothing to him and walked away in a brisk way.
"Wait for me please!", he hurriedly went after her.
