Elijah and I just arrived here in France, we took two rooms because that was the right one. We don't have a relationship so why one room right?
After yesterday, Zevron and I said goodbye to each other. He took me to the dorm and left without another word.
"Don't worry Alexa, the Filipinos are the ones who invited us so we don't need a translator or interpreter" I nodded.
"Alright good night sir, we'll be early tomorrow" I smiled goodbye to him, he just nodded and I entered the room.
The next day I woke up early, but SHEEEZ! my body is sick, I think I will get the flu? My goodness! Wrong timing. But....my private part also hurts...is it because of last night? OMG! I just took a shower to get rid of the pain in my body and ate to go down to the lobby.
"Are you okay?" Elijah asked worriedly.
"Yes" and I gave him a raw smile.
"Ah Good morning Mr. And Mrs. Elijah and Alexa Valorous." Greetings from the woman in her mid 50's
"Ah sorry but I'm not his wife." I was embarrassed to answer.
"Oh, sorry I just thought your married." I just smiled at her.
"Ah, so let's go to the reception area?" We nodded and followed her.
We only have the reception, where we will present the dishes we will cook later.
"This is the big reception hall in France, so expect to have a lot of customers and a lot of contenders." The woman explained.
"Yes we will" answered Elijah.
"So bye for now, I'll do something ok?" She said goodbye to us.
"Can we go shopping for ingredients?" I suggest.
"No, they have it for free. There is a market here so we can get the ingredients there and we will just show the card" and he gave me the card.
*CRINGGGG!*
I just nodded at him and he just walked around the reception, it's like 3 hectares in total. It's so big, you can build three buildings if you want.
"I-I'm sorry" said the woman when she bumped into me.
"N-no its fine" I smiled back at him and I held out his hand.
"By the way, I'm Rhanzie Valorous, nice meeting you miss?" She asked with a smile.
"Krishaina Alexa Vandelmort" I said and shook hands.
"Ok, I'll take my leave 'cause I will surprise my husband" I nodded to her and she left first.
Wait a minute! Valorous? Sir Elijah? I just shrugged my shoulders and walked away.
"Alexa!" I heard Elijah call me and I turned to him.
He was with the girl, so that's his wife? I walked towards them, the woman smiled at me.
"So she's your wife?" I asked shyly and he nodded.
"Do you know each other?" Elijah's groin.
"Yeah, actually we bumped into each other a while ago." She replied with a smile.
We went to what Elijah said was the market, I don't know how awkward HAHAHAHA I feel like a third wheel my goodness! I really wish there was a jowa (it's ok, there's no jowa reading it either HAHAHAHA joke) After we shopped, I immediately put it in the fridge, we rested and ate lunch.
"Honey, do you know Zevron Demetrius?" I stopped chewing when I heard what Rhanzie said.
"Yes why?" Elijah responded and turned to me, I just smiled at him even though it was awkward.
"Soon we will have a meeting for our business, he will be our business partner. Demetrius Group of companies is quite good, Mr.Demetrius skills of being the best engineer not only in the Philippines but in Asia. Besides, he's not only an Engineer, but a good business man." Rhanzie said.
"Y-yeah" Elijah replied sparingly.
After we ate, the event organizer called us to start cooking.
2 H OURS  L A T E R
We're done cooking Adobo, Sinigang, Bicol Express, and Laing. We decided to cook these dishes to represent the Philippines here in France, we're hoping that they will like it.
"GOOD EVENING LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WE ALL GATHERED HERE TO REPRESENT YOUR BEST FOOD IN YOUR COUNTRY. BUT BEFORE WE PROCEED, LET ME INFORM YOU THAT IN EVERY CONTESTANT FOR THEIR COUNTRY, WE WILL ASK THREE QUESTIONS THAT MAY ADD IN YOUR POINTS." said the MC while we were lined up here and there were three judges in front of us, some of them had already laid out what we had cooked and they were tasting it.
I'm soooooo nervous! My goodness, I feel like I'm in a pageant HAHAHAHA. There were many contestants who were asked the first question, their answers were good, that's why I was even more nervous. I hope we were at least informed, so we could be ready huhunessss!
"For Ms. Vandelmort, if you're given a chance to be an ingredient in adobo, what would you be and why?"
SON OF TOKWAAAAAAA WHAT SHOULD I DO?
"Being an ingredient is not easy, but if I'm giving a chance to be one of them, I will choose soy sauce. Why? Because soy sauce is one of the main ingredients in making adobo. How can we make an adobo if we don't have soy sauce? Well, we can have substitute ingredients but soy sauce is the original and main ingredient. It has a very powerful taste to make our adobo delicious. In fact, we can use soysauce all around, so for me it is the best choice. That's all thank you." I said and they applauded, finally I can breathe easy.
"SO OUR WINNER FOR THE FIRST ROUND IS...."
*drum rolls*
"PHILIPPINES!" Elijah smiled at me and patted me on the shoulder.
"CONGRATS GUYS! BE READY FOR OUR LAST ROUND NEXT MONTH, YOU CAN EAT NOW." we applauded and started to put away the dishes.
After we finished dinner, Rhanzie and Elijah and I went up to our room together.
"Congratulations again Alexa" Rhanzie said with a smile.
"Thank you again HAHAHAHA, good night to you all"
"Good night" They said at the same time and I finally went inside my suite.
