Watching Mr Jones been led by the police was kind of interesting. I watched with a lot of pleasure. I know I have a lot of talking to do with Austin and most especially Sam. But first I need to talk to my family.
"Can I be excused?"I asked Sam.
"Where are you heading to?"He asked.
"I have an unfinished business to take care of."I replied.
"Can we talk later?"Austin asked. He has been listening to us talk.
I knew he was going to say that. I am sooo relived that Austin is not my brother. If not, I wouldn't forgive myself.
"Okay, we have a long talking to do"I said smiling. But he didn't return the smile.
I presume he isn't going to smile with me. Maybe he's going to break up with me🤧.
I quickly leave the vicinity. I drove a taxi to my home.
"Am home"I announced as usual.
"Havel!"My family rushed to hug me.
"Are you okay?, Are you hurt? Did your father hurt you?"My mum asked while touching my body to know if I am hurt.
"So you knew all this while? Then you decided to keep it away from me. Making me suffer so much. Now I understand why you never liked me."
"I have always loved you Havel. But that was my husband last wish. For you to have your revenge yourself. This revenge wasn't about my husband's death, it about your mother's death."She said in tears.
"I don't wish to come back here. I am going to take what belongs to me. What is rightfully mine, my happiness depends on who am with. Am going to go far away so you all won't see me again."
"Yes that's the right thing to do. We only kept you for this. And you've achieved it, so what's the use of you staying?"She said.
I almost broke down in tears, "you still won't accept me. You won't even hold me back and stop me from leaving. If you truly loves me..."
"Read this"Eunice said handing a paper to me.
"It's my father's last words to the doctor. He wrote it down."She added.
I opened it, it read,
"I know that when you are reading this, I would have already been dead. Please forgive me for causing you all this much heartbreak. Paul Jones found out about the child but he doesn't know who she is. Once Havel comes of age, and she decides to have revenge in my name. Never tell her anything about her family's background, let her find out in the course of having revenge. Please let her do what she wish. Once she's done, tell her what her revenge is for. After the revenge, disown her. Let her go wherever she wants. Give her freedom. We can't have our enemy's daughter under our roof. Remember we how much I love her, she mean a lot to me. Before she leaves, make sure she does a surgery for her face so that people doesn't recognize her. She looks so ugly with those pimples.
I'd always love you all. Take care of the kids. Let the surgery be an option for her. She's very stubborn, I know that. Send my love to her."
"No, this is not right. I..."I tried to talk but couldn't.
"Yes, you cause his death. He died trying to cover you up. Shouldn't you be grateful that my mum still took care of you till now after everything. I have advised her to throw you out cos seeing you every day is annoying. You stole all our fatherly love, as if that want enough, you stole our father. Now you have the guts to talk non sense. You never deserve our love, care and affection. You took everything from us."Eunice screamed.
" Let me make things right. Am sorry. I never knew all these."I said softly.
"That's one of the reasons why I forgave you a long time ago. You didn't know any of these."Eunice said.
"Today will be the last time I'll stop into this house. I'll let you guys enjoy your happiness. Am so sorry."I said directly to mum and walk out of the house. I could hear her break down in tears.
It was really difficult training someone who isn't her child and is a threat in her family's existence. I really felt and pity her.
I stopped a taxi and drove straight to the police station. Austin and Sam stood outside the station.
"Your father wants to speak to you"Sam said.
I wall into the station without asking any questions.
Mr Jones on sighting me chuckled, "you are one brave daughter."
"Thank God, I got that braveness from you I guess."
"But why would you use it against me."
"All these while I thought the wrong person as my father. I also thought the revenge was for him. Did you k!!! my mum?"
"Your mother took seven good years to give me a child. When she finally gave birth, she gave me a female. I needed a male that can take over..."
"Your wickedness?"I completed his sentence. He laughed loudly.
"I didn't know there was some kind of bravery in that girl child."
"I guess my revenge is worth my time. Then you took away people's happiness just because of me. I pray you rot in this jail."
"I'll be happy if I end my life here. I have a lot of regrets that I can't go back and correct. Most especially, you. I could have stopped on my track but I thought you wouldn't forgive me if you knew the truth"
"I would have forgiven you, but right now, I can never forgive you."
"Take everything thing. My properties are all in your name. I knew this was going to happen so I got prepared for it."
"Thank you. I hope you rest in pieces."I said and left before he could say another word.
"Hey"Austin stopped me on my way outside. He dragged me to a secluded place.
"I am happy for you"He said.
"You have no idea how happy I am. But am still so sad."
"You finally showed the world your real face. Am proud of you. Sam was so shocked."
I smiled, "he should be"
"You aren't going to say anything to me?"He asked.
"I love you..."I forced myself to spit the words out. He looked at me surprised at my words.
"Am sorry for letting you go through all these, I should have opened up to you earlier but I..."
"You don't need to add a of that. Your first statement have said it all."He smiled.
I didn't wait for him to kiss me first, I stood on my toes and place my lips on his. He returned the kiss while holding my waist in his arms.
Being with him has been my dream for a long time. I have always wanted to join my soul with his. I had always wanted freedom. Now I have the whole of Jones property under my feet. I am going to share all of that with Sam.
And Megan, am going to talk to her tomorrow at school. May Janice's soul rest in peace.
As you can see, my story is quite an interesting one. Getting revenge isn't really easy Especially if that person is your family.
When you fix your mind to something, don't let anyone make you lose hope. There's always light at the end of the tunnel. Especially when Austin is with you❤️😁.
