Chapter 28. Getting Familiar

Salsa and Sabila entered their respective classes. Salsa took out her book and she went back to reading the material until the lecturer arrived. Once in a while while working on questions, Salsa remembered what had happened at the dinner table. He kept thinking about why he didn't get the full love of his mother. Very in contrast to his twin brother who has been pampered since childhood. Salsa thinks maybe this all happened after her father and mother decided to separate.
After college, Salsa planned to buy a few packs of bread for lunch and she sat on a park bench. He planned to rest for a while before heading to the café where he worked to collect his salary.
There is a great place to have lunch while enjoying the view. In front of him there is an artificial fountain that rises approximately three meters high. Around the fountain there are various plants. There are only green leaves that are neatly trimmed, there are also several kinds of flowers with different types that decorate beautifully there. If you go to this place at night, you will be treated to an amazing view of the lights around the fountain. As if to make the water colorful.
And right beside the park bench where Salsa was sitting, grew a medium-sized banyan tree. The leaves make the place where Salsa sits much more shady than the other benches. The breeze made Salsa's hair move and drowsiness from fullness settled in her eyelids. Unknowingly, Salsa fell asleep there.

Salsa blinked her eyes in the glare. When he woke up, the sun was starting to turn yellow, indicating that it was getting late. He looked around. The park was getting quiet. Usually it will be crowded again after maghrib. When he was about to clean up and leave the garden, he was surprised by someone who was already right beside him. That person is none other than Reyhan. He was just silent while looking at the surprised Salsa.
"Are you awake?" he asked innocently as if he didn't feel guilty.
Salsa was speechless for a few seconds. He could only hold his chest which was aching from the shock.
"Why are you looking at me like you saw a ghost?" he asked again. "Or is there really a ghost in this park?" This time Reyhan looked around and pretended to shudder.
"Why are you like that?" asked Salsa. He was feeling better now.
"What are you doing? Come with you," replied Reyhan. “You slept really well and people were watching you. That's why I'm accompanying you so you won't be mistaken for a tramp, "explained Reyhan at length.
The reflex class Salsa hit Reyhan's shoulder with full force. And this time Reyhan really groaned in pain.
"Why are you like that? Not saying thank you for being with me." Reyhan pursed his lips and it made Salsa want to hit him one more time, but he didn't.
"Yes, thank you. Have you?"
"It's not sincere."
"Tell anyone to surprise you. What if I have a heart attack? You want responsibility? Want to take me to the hospital? Want to pay the fee? Want to?" said Salsa at length.
Reyhan couldn't help but laugh at that. Then he asked if Salsa would go to his cafe to collect his salary or not. Salsa nodded and said she would use the money to buy a gift for Kania, her mother.
Because it was in the same direction, Reyhan took the initiative to give Salsa another ride.
"That's to save costs," said Reyhan and, miraculously, Salsa immediately agreed. Because the money in his wallet is only two thousand rupiah. Of course it will not be enough to pay for the bus fare.
Unbeknownst to the two of them, Sabila was standing on the far side of the garden blocked by bushes. He was silent and watched Reyhan and Salsa, who seemed to be joking on Reyhan's old motorbike and soon they both left the place.
"What are the two of them doing together?" Sabila asked herself.
"It seems that the two of them are getting closer by the day. Last night, too," Sabila muttered again and then left.

After receiving the salary from her part-time job, Salsa was really happy and felt very grateful to God. he smiled very sweetly at Reyhan.
"Thank you, ok because you want to invite me to work at this cafe. So I can give a gift to mother," said Salsa, jumping with joy.
Seeing this, Reyhan was also very happy because he could help others, especially those who were helped by his friend's twin brother.
Reyhan offered to take Salsa to buy a present, but this time Salsa refused. He said it would take quite a while to choose the best gift. He didn't want to disturb Reyhan, who was certainly busy with his work at the café.
So not long ago, Salsa decided to go to a clothing store. He intends to buy his mother a beautiful apron because her mother loves to cook and the apron she usually wears is very worn. He chose from one model to another. Match it with the color of the clothes her mother usually wears to make it look harmonious. After feeling it was the most suitable choice, Salsa finally went to the cashier and paid for her groceries. She chose a light blue apron with small floral accents on the left side, adding to the charm of the apron.
Before going home, Salsa also stopped by a cake shop. He knew his mother was also very fond of sweet food. He bought a medium-sized piece of Red Velvet cake and two pieces of Black Forest for himself and Sabila.
Along the way home, Salsa occasionally hummed a little while imagining the happy face of her mother after receiving a gift from her. However, that only happened in Salsa's imagination. because when he arrived at his yard, his mother and Sabila were already waiting for him on the front porch. His face looked as if he was holding anger. Salsa could only frown, not understanding what would happen to her in the next second.
"Where have you been at this hour just got home?" Kania asked in a flat voice.
"Eh, so-and-so, Salsa from the shop to buy this," he replied, handing him a package of cakes he had bought earlier. While the apron that he was going to present to his mother was stored in his bag.
"Is it true that you only bought that from outside?" Kania asked again as if she didn't believe in Salsa. He glanced briefly into the package Salsa was holding, confirming.
Salsa nodded again. However, Sabila who was beside Kania squeaked, "It's not after playing with your girlfriend, right?"
Salsa who heard Sabila's sentence just now felt confused. Boyfriend? Which partner?
"Well, well, don't lie. Mother knows it too!" Sabila quipped again.
Salsa grew clueless. Because so far he has never been in a relationship with anyone. Even his female friends can be counted on the fingers.
