X-PART – 8 : Is This the End?
Of the various things that made Rena confused, she found that many people had come to her room. A stranger in her eyes. Maybe if you count, the number of people in this room is more than twenty people, including men of the same height as her husband. The big man stood there in the corner of the room and in front of the door.
She looked at her husband, who was now wearing a sad face. The man was beside her holding her hand tightly.
"By the Moongoddes, you are so beautiful!" An older woman came and cupped Rena's face. There was a longing in her eyes that couldn't be hidden. "You have grown into a beautiful woman, Dear."
Rena could only grin. She looked around again. But then she knew that this woman, as well as the older man beside the woman, were the ones who stood out the most.
"Sorry, I don't know you," Rena moaned softly.
But those words made everyone in the room gasp.
Did she speak wrong?
"Luna ..." Romeo said quietly, making Rena immediately shudder.
Luna? So right, what's on her mind right now? This woman looks very graceful in her old age. Then she also felt peace looking at this older woman's face.
"Sorry… forgive me once again." Rena lay down on her bed. The older woman shook her head.
"There is nothing to forgive. I'm in the wrong here. Gosh, can I hug you, Honey?" The older woman hugged Rena when she got the approval.
Now it's the opposite. Rena is holding Romeo's hand tightly and staring at Romeo for an explanation.
"Son." The words of the other couple came to Romeo. Rena could only stare at him and didn't dare to speak.
"Mother and father ...."
Oh, is this her in-laws? Father and Mother of Romeo?
During this time, Rena had never been introduced by the man's parents because Romeo always said that there would be time to find out. Rena did not demand anything more.
"I am Irene, and this is my husband, Jonathan."
Rena finally realized their names were the same as the ones on the paper when she accidentally found them. The piece that made her and Romeo a big fuss.
"Luna," Rena squeaked in a small voice.
"The ones next to Romeo are his mother and father, your in-laws. Meanwhile, my son, Nickholas, and his wife, Lea."
Rena didn't focus on the last person Luna Irene mentioned because the position of the two of them was a bit far away. Not to mention the woman's sobs in her husband's chest.
Rena held her chest. For some reason, she felt a sharp pain.
The thing that made Luna Irene immediately worried was, "Are you okay?"
Rena shook her head. "I feel tight. But I don't know the cause. Was there a bad impression I gave you by accident?”

"Come back. We're picking you up, Romeo." It was Nicholas' voice.
"Pack needs you, Romeo," Jonathan replied.
"You guys don't need me, but only need Beta. Whether I'm here or not doesn't matter." Romeo fiddled with his glass. At this round table, the three men tried to corner him.
"Says who? After you left, our packs even had a drop in quality. Why can you talk like that, Rome?" Jonathan interrupted. "Danny is kind and capable of going through anything, but you are superior to leading them."
Romeo burst out laughing. "You always say nice things, Alpha. Therefore everyone is very flattered by your words. However, that's not what I'm afraid of. I don't know how much my wife hates when she finds out what happened to her past. I don't want my woman trapped in the valley of misery I made a long time ago." Romeo took a deep breath.
"It's enough that I keep my mouth shut and become a new person to my wife, even though it hurts so much."
Nickholas understands the meaning of his former beta's words. "We have discussed all of this with the people and the residents of the palace. No one should discuss the past, whether it's about you or Rena. We also asked the witches to make a memory-eliminating potion related to your wife."
Romeo was stunned.
"And they all do. They want to drink the potion so you and your family can return. We did not forget to invite Bennedict and Ava to stay with us. Let's make a new story, Romeo. No grudges, no painful memories." Nicholas did his best to believe in Romeo.
"Who knows. The shadow still hurts." Romeo took another sip of his wine. "I will go crazy if Rena returns to her memories."
"Everything you fear means nothing. I'll also ask Raven to protect our pack from traitors. And, of course, the vampire wants to help." Jonathan didn't lose his mind. He then took out something Romeo didn't expect.
"This is yours, right? You forgot about it."
A red velvet box with a ring inside. Ring with pendant in light blue.
In the past, when he was still a Beta, he had made a ring meant for Rena. Instead, he would make peace with the woman. However, he had not yet reconciled. Reality struck him. Rena left.
"Where did you get this ring? Because as far as I know, I never put it in the house."
"Rena's room," Jonathan said.
Unlucky! He forgot. The first time he kissed Rena was in the room, still holding the velvet box. He did not expect the package was left behind.
"Thank you, Alpha."
Now, it was Romeo's father who said, "Son, go home. Your brother is also waiting."

"Why haven't you slept yet? Does your back hurt, hm? Ask Romeo. He sat on Rena's bed. "I'll give you a massage."
"No need. I'm just tired of lying around all the time."
It was quiet, and only the two were in the room. At the same time, the others have returned to their respective inns.
"Do you want to be hugged?"
"Of course." Rena shifted and let her husband's big body hug her. "I've always been addicted to this body of yours."
"I haven't showered yet." Romeo laughed softly.
"I don't care." Rena, while stroking her stomach, occasionally smelled Romeo's scent. "So what were the guys talking about just now? You know, I'm like a celebrity who gets swarmed by many people these days. Is the royal side always like that when they visit?"
Romeo was silent.
"It must be nice living in the palace." Rena was still babbling.
"What do you want to say?" Romeo knew this was the end. He had to answer all of his wife's questions. "I will answer."
"There's nothing to answer. I want you to follow your conscience. I'll come along if you really want us to be in the palace. But if you refuse their invitation, I'm fine. I'm with you wherever you go." Rena kissed Romeo's jaw passionately.
"No matter how complicated the past is, no matter how cruel the world is to our relationship. What matters is that I am yours and vice versa. Romeo, I will always be yours."
Without realizing it, Romeo burst into tears. He didn't lose in this story, but he was the real winner. Back to the point where he would feel the deepest pain, but there was Rena who was able to make him feel strong.
"Will you always forgive me no matter what?"
"Yes to any fault, but no to loving another woman!" said Rena.
