AMELIA'S POV
After that water fight for Philip, of course we need to clean up.
He insisted to do it all but of course I didn't let him. It's my house after all and he's my visitor who always visit my house. Well, I don't complain though.
"Amelia, stop. I'll do it" he said while doing the dishes and looking at me who's already preparing the mop.
"Philip, stop. I'll do it" I copied what he said as a joke.
He then gave me a mad face. I just stuck my tongue and showed it to him as a silly way of teasing him.
"stop, okay? I'll do that as well. Just relax" he said while looking at me wetting the mop with the water.
"no" I answered firmly and started mopping the floor.
I also gave him slippers since it would be watery. He doesn't wanna take it at first but I insisted, I gently pushed his feet upwards and put it in the slippers.
See? I can even make him wear slippers.
"okay, okay. I'll wear it" he said and wore the other one all by himself. I stood up and proceed.
"I'll wear these but make sure to wear one as well" he said. I shook my head.
"I don't want to" I said and giggled.
He sighed and looking at me with a deadpan look "Amelia" he called.
I copied him and gave him a deadpan look as well, "Philip"
We stood there like weird guys looking at each other with a deadpan face and here I am, I cannot hold it anymore. I let myself laugh but when I looked at him, he just sighed.
He closed the faucet and wiped his wet hands using his apron.
I just watched him, not knowing what he will do next.
He walked passed by me and proceeded where I usually put the indoor slippers.
He took one, my favorite one. The one pink fluffy bunny. He then showed it to me.
"you want this?" he asked and then took another one pair of slippers.
The black simple one with cherry on top which makes it's design minimal but also so cute and pretty. It's also one of my favorite.
"or this one?" he asked.
"what do you think?" I asked.
He looked at both of them and placed back the black one and walked towards me.
He kneeled infront of me and was about to make me wear the slippers.
"I can do it" I said. He then looked up and when we made eye contact, he looked at my feet again..
"see, your feet is always so wet" he commented and proceeded on making me wear the slippers.
When he's done, he stood up again and took the mop from me.
"just go, relax" he said and continued mopping the floor.
I was about to get the mop from him when I heared a knock from the door.
I looked at Philip.
"go get the door. It might be a client" he said.
Without any hesitations, I proceeded to the door to open it. I also removed my apron and gave my best smile.
When I opened, I saw a bunch of teen age girls giggling. When they looked at me, they greeted me nicely.
And yes, they're clients. Philip was right.
I let them enter my shop, good thing I already finished cleaning up here.
"You're Amelia right?" the other one asked which looks like their leader or something since she made the group enter the shop and guided them to their seats.
"yes, I'm Amelia. And you guys are?" I asked. I also sat down on another chair.
I looked at the kitchen which is kinda visible here and I still can see that Philip is cleaning.
"I'm Lorna" the leader type one answered. I just gave her a smile. She's so pretty, they're all so pretty.
"Gione here" the cute one answered. She also made a wave at me.
"you can call me, Tina" the other one answered said. She looks so pretty, like the type of girl that many guys could fall in love with.
"Rose" the silent one answered and gave me a smile as well. She's the nerdy type one since she's also wearing a glasses which made her look cute actually.
"oh, such pretty names" I smiled at them ,"so, what can I do for you?"
Lorna on the other hand looks like very hesitant to answer my question.
"hmm?" I asked again. Hoping to hear any answers soon.
"uhm, Lorna just say it" Gione said. Gione is so cute, for real.
"just say it, why are you even hesitating" Tina said. But for the record, she's not mad or anything.
They're even about to laugh which I clearly don't understand.
"We would like to hire you as our personal painter" Rose answered.
I almost got choke even though I'm not eating anything.
"w-what?" I asked.
"yes" Gione answered. Huh?
"I-I mean, why?" I asked again.
"silly, Rose" Tina said. "it's not like that, we just want you to make a painting for us. It's not that we're going to hire you as our personal painter"
"oh" I just commented.
Tina sounds rude but the tone of her voice sounds otherwise. She's not mad or anything, she's even smiling at me while saying those stuffs.
"yes" Gione said again. I chucked, why does she says yes all the time?
I looked at Philip and he's now looking at us, he's leaning on my countertop and looking at us while crossing his arms.
When our eyes met, he mouthed something. When I read his lips he said ,"coffee?"
I just nodded.
Everytime we had clients, I always serve coffee.
I was about to stand up to make some coffee when Philip have already come out from the kitchen and walked towards us while holding a tray with coffee cups and a plate of cookies.
I looked at him with the look that asks why he's doing this but he just closed his eyes firmly and smiled at me.
"is he your boyfriend?" Tina asked.
"yes" Philip answered.
