chapter 15

Chapter 15
But you didn’t show interest!
Christine’s face was full of disbelief, but within a second, the person fell into the pool with a “thump”. Charlotte glanced at Christine who fell into the swimming pool, raised her hand and clapped the place where Christine had touched her hand, looked at Brian, who was looking at her, then withdrew her gaze and lifted her leg to go inside. Go inside the hall.
When Gabriella, who came to Christine, saw this scene, she rushed out, raised her hand and manacled Charlotte’s steps: “Stop!”
“Someone! Come and help me!”
Gabriella stopped Charlotte and screamed as if Charlotte had killed someone.
When she shouted like this, everyone in the banquet hall looked over. Many people ran out, looked at Charlotte who was being blocked, and looked at Christine who fell in the swimming pool.
Christine was dragged by her friend and climbed up from the swimming pool in embarrassment. She looked up at Charlotte, who was being stopped by Gabriella She was about to speak, but she saw Brian came out.
Christine pursed her lips and didn’t speak, she just walked – drenched in front of Charlotte, looking at her with a puzzled and aggrieved expression: “Miss Charlotte, What have I done to deserve this? You’ll pay for this I swear!” She spat.
Charlotte gave Christine a dazed stare.
Christine who just got up from the swimming pool looked a embarrassed, but with such a pitiful expression, she was more pitiful than embarrassed. Someone was already pointing incessantly. Gabriella was like a messenger of justice: “Don’t try to deny it! I saw it with my own eyes just now, and it was you who pushed Christine into the swimming pool!”
After Gabriella finished blurting out in rage, she saw Brian, and seemed to think of something: “Right! My brother is standing by the floor-to-ceiling window, not far from me, he must have seen it too!”
As soon as Gabriella said this, many people looked at Brian subconsciously.
Brian could really see the scene just now.
But he didn’t plan to get involved in this matter, but now Gabriella pointed it out in front of everyone, he was worried and his face was a little cold.
“Charlotte—”
Christine, who was being supported by a friend, suddenly spoke up. It sounded as if she had suffered countless grievances and finally met someone who came to her rescue.
“You saw that too, I didn’t do anything to Charlotte…”
As soon as Christine mentioned the last sentence, tears flowed out of her eyes in. In this way, everyone around them concluded that the rivals in love have met, and Charlotte, the ex-wife, can’t let go of her past, so she couldn’t help but fall for Brian, her new love.
Christine looked at Brian with affection hushed up beneath her eyes, both grievance and desire to speak, and Charlotte felt admiration when she caught a glimpse of him.
“Sorry, I didn’t see it.”
Brian spoke with a cold face, glanced at Christine, then turned his head to look at Charlotte, who remain mute all the while.
Christine froze for a moment, Brian’s words sounded cold and ruthless, and the atmosphere at the scene felt embarrassing.
Gabriella was not reconciled: “Christine, I saw it! I saw this vicious woman kick you down the swimming pool with my own eyes!” She pointed to Charlotte with a look of righteous indignation.
Charlotte didn’t want to waste any more time, she raised her eyebrows and chuckled: “I really kicked a lot of people down.”
When Charlotte said this, her eyes formed a curve, her brows were smiling, and she didn’t feel any guilt.
But her face is really good-looking, even if she uttered rude words, people couldn’t feel disgust from the bottom of their hearts. As she spoke, she tilted her head and glanced at Christine “Miss Christine, do you want to know why?” She muttered with a scornful cackle.
Christine’s eyes twitched in awe at Charlotte’s reaction. She least expected such.
Why did this woman, Charlotte, admit to kicking her down as soon as she opened her mouth?
Aside Christine, even Gabriella’s feet froze in shock.
Charlotte admired the shocked expressions of everyone for a while with satisfaction, then leaned over to Christine’s ear, and said: “Because I hate the flies buzzing around me. Brian and I are divorced, and we have nothing to do with each other. Your target is him, not me. But you are ignorant, so you have to provoke me, you got what you bargained for darling.”
“Oh, then don’t blame me for being rude.”
Charlotte snorted and stood up straight, the smile on her face had faded away. Her voice is not too loud, but not too inaudible, and the people around her can hear her. After speaking, Charlotte turned around and left without looking at Brian.
Christine wanted to stop her, but when she saw Charlotte’s face, she was restrained by the other party’s aura. For the first time, she didn’t dare to say anything.
Brian’s eyebrows creased.
Why does Charlotte look different from what he imagined? Doesn’t she love him this much?
Why was it only three months after the two divorced that she was able to draw the boundaries between the them in such a defensive but polite way?
Or is it that her so-called love in the past was a façade and a lie?
Shawn tutted lightly, and after glancing at Christine, he couldn’t help but glance at Brian as a serious frown clutched his oily face: Brian, I think your ex-wife is also quite interesting.”
Brian’s face sank: “Do you also want to grab a woman from the popular little fresh meat?”
Shawn touched his chin: “I’m not cheap, I’m not bad looking, and I’m in good shape. Don’t push it man, it’s not impossible.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Brian’s expression became even more ugly.
Shawn led out a giggle, stopped the smile when it was enough, raised his shoulder and bumped him: “Are you regretting the divorce?”
Brian shot him a cold stare: “I regret knowing you.”
After speaking, he also turned and left.
Christine looked at him and wanted to utter a word, but when she pouted her surprised lips, she didn’t know what excuse to use to let him stay.
Just now when Brian said that he hadn’t seen it, some of the onlookers laughed at her, not to mention Charlotte’s thunderous slap that followed.
The atmosphere seeped with embarrassment. Once she opened her mouth and Brian didn’t stay, she would be an object of ridicule.
“It’s a little cold, I have to go in and change my clothes!”
Brian muttered. He bowed his head and left with his friend as if nothing had happened.
