CHAPTER NINE Escape From the Prison

Mira had stayed for a long time in the prison. She was so broken to be treated like a criminal of which she is not but she could not help herself. All she could do was to pray to the moon goddess that her release would be granted quickly without knowing that the plans the Empress and her daughter had towards her were for her to die there.
Some beings who loved associating with her really got worried about her. Some went to the extent of visiting Gilmore and his sister to ask them about her.
But all that Gilmore told them was that the moon goddess would intervene and she would soon be out of the prison.
During the dark nights, Gilmore and the sister would swim to the prison when no one could see them.
They would go along with garnished worms so that she could feed from it. That was how it continued till the time Gilmore and Bella decided to take some risks of secretly bringing her out from the prison since it seemed like they had forgotten her there or that they wanted her to rot in prison.
That very day. When all the beings had retired and darkness had come.
They sneaked out as usual to the prison top to get Mira out of the prison.
They had already made the arrangements a while ago.
It was time for them to gently and secretly execute their plans.
When they got to the prison top, they beaconed on Mira who was already weak to look up.
When she finally gathered some strength to look up, they threw a large net inside the prison and told her to get inside of it.
She was scared to do so as she didn't know what the outcome of it would become.
At first, she refused to succumb to their persuasion but they didn't give up.
They kept encouraging her to do so and at last, she gave in to their encouragement and persuasion.
She got herself into the large net and they both dragged her out from the prison top.
Pulling the net out through the prison top wasn't an easy task. It took their energy, time and a whole lot but they didn't give up. They kept pulling until they were able to bring her out.
When she came out from the prison top, she smiled, though with mixed feelings.
She was happy that she was out of the prison and she was also scared at the same time because she didn't know what the outcome of their acts would turn out to be.
"So…what do I do now that I am out of the prison without the permission of the Empress?" Mira asked, shivering.
"What if they find out that I am no longer here? What about you two, what would happen to you if they find out that you two are responsible for my disappearance from the prison?
It isn't my intention to involve you guys into this mess.
Ok, far from that… where will I hide myself just so no beings would set their eyes on me?" She continued, really panicking.
As she was still talking…….
Bella cut in.
"Shiiiii!" Placing her right index finger on her pinkish lips in a way that divided it into two parts signifying that she shouldn't talk anymore.
"Say no more, she continued….
No being would see you, I promise you this," she said raising her left palm to signify that the promise was made from her heart.
"Why shouldn't you drag us into your problem when we're your good friends. Besides, what are friends for if not to show so much concern in a time like this?" Said Gilmore, calmly.
"You have to swim to the surface. Make sure you hide yourself in a corner that no being and not even humans would see you just so they won't get to harm you.
We would be getting in touch with you and we would also be informing you of the situations over here, ok?" Said Bella, positively.
"You need to get going immediately." She added.
"Exactly, my dear," nodded Gilmore in affirmation.
Hurry! She concluded on a low note while gently pushing Mira a Little in a way to get her to start going.
"I truly appreciate you guys and all your kind gestures towards me. Don't hesitate to get in touch with me while I'm still at the surface, ok?" She said, frowning mildly.
"Sure, dear" they said and immediately, she left them for the surface.
Then, Gilmore and his sister made for their chamber quietly.
When she got to the surface, she hid herself at her favorite spot where nobody could see her.
She was happy to leave the prison and to the surface but she was still scared of what was going to take place afterwards.
She proposed in her heart to keep calm and watch, and then she gathered courage to face whatever comes out of it squarely.
