Only one of us is leaving here, Linda. And I promise it's not you." They were gauging each other, but both of them knew Kaitlyn was weaker, especially since she was injured. But you could never understand a white wolf, or underestimate one. Linda smiled. "Why don't we see about that, Kaitlyn? Wonder why Daddy isn't here to check up on his lil pub?" Kaitlyn stopped. "What?" Linda laughed. "You didn't think about that, did you?" "What have you done to him?" "Don’t worry, he was really strong and I had to quickly replace Aiden, so...he is in my safe hands, though. Don't panic." Linda threw her head back and laughed, knowing she had hit bull's eyes, from Kaitlyn's scared expression. What she didn't expect was the hit. Kaitlyn kicked her with the boot she was wearing, right in the middle of her stomach. She almost threw up, the laughter forced out of her along with air. "You will regret messing with me, I promise you." She locked her arm behind her, slapped her face hard, and sent her reeling. Kaitlyn turned to pick a weapon, anything that would inflict real injuries, but Linda was on her in a second, trying to sink her teeth in. Kaitlyn groaned with pain as the teeth went in, and blood started to trickle down. She could feel the wetness on her skim, and in one madden, annoyed transition assumed her wolf self, sending Linda to the floor. The injury was bad, and her wolf felt it too, but she stood tall and bold. Linda gave a laugh. "You want to play, huh?" Grabbing Kaitlyn's wolf by the neck, and dragging it to her so that she could attack further, Kaitlyn straightened, turned them kicked hard. It did release her from Linda's grip, but not much more. Kaitlyn's eyes got darker with the anger and disrespect. The windows opened with force as her eyes darkened. The white wolf was angry, the moon goddess was angry, the universe was furious. Linda grasped blindly, and in a swift motion, Kaitlyn pushed her toe nails forward and to Linda's face, scratching Her eyes. She shrieked loudly and fell back, her eyes starting to drip. "You will pay!" She was maddened with rage now, and attacked again. "It was sunny just now. What happened?" Aiden asked, a bit out of breath. They were sitting on the floor of Linda's home, panting heavily. Several attempts on the door had proven futile, and they laid there, risking everything they'd put in to come out. Chris looked remorseful, and he dropped his head, mumbling something. "What?" "Its Kaitlyn." Aiden's brows furrowed in confusion. "How?" " The weather is Kaitlyn's doing, and I am sure she is trying to fight Linda. But she can only over power her, Linda won't die. Her life isn't with her." Aiden hit his head. "We need to get out." He stood up, walking towards the door. "Let's get a knife." Aiden nodded. "Wait here." He said to him before walking away. Chris sighed to himself, knowing pretty well no matter what Kaitlyn did, Linda would win. As long as...as long as.... "Here." Aiden was holding the pointed edge, but the blade showed on Chris' eyes. He sighed again, collecting it. "Come sit." Aiden rolled his eyes. "We need to walk." "I know. Just come sit." Aiden hesitated, but the tone of Chris' voice made him. "I did it too." "Did what?" Chris sighed and looked away. "The letter." Aiden wasn’t getting it. "What letter?" "I invited you to Kaitlyn’s coming out ceremony. I was jealous. I'm sorry." He said in one breath, his eyes focused on the knife. "I figured. Now let's go." Aiden made to stand up. "I am sorry for everything else too. And to Kaitlyn." Aiden rolled his eyes. "Let's go." "Aiden... I am sorry for everything else too." Aiden nodded. "You said that already, so let's go." "Promise me." Aiden frowned. "Promise what?" "Promise me you’ve forgiven me. Take care of her too." Aiden rolled his eyes, the frustration getting to him. I promise, now, stand... Chris!" Linda screamed, her hands going to her stomach. Kaitlyn stepped back, her eyes squinted. "Chris, that..." She fell backwards, heaving. "Don't die, you idiot. Don’t. Don't!" Blood was filling her mouth now, as she breathed heavily. Kaitlyn took it as an opportunity, walked to her, placed a leg on her, then drove a pointed nail through her. "Chris, Chris wake up. Why did you do that?" Chris!" The entire place was covered with blood, and Aiden was right in the middle of it. Kaitlyn wasn't breathing. The breath was hitching behind her throat, her eyes starting to tear up. Her father was standing behind her, his face glowing in the sun. The pack was standing in front of her on all foies, ready to welcome their new alpha and Luna. "Is this real, daddy?" He laughed. "Except if we are both in the same simulation, apart from that, everything here is real, darling. Now step out." She laughed with him, one tear making its way down her cheek. "I love you, daddy." He nodded. "Who else?" She rolled her eyes and he gave her a playful nudge. "Let's go." Aiden met her as she walked out, his clothes the same colour as his eyes. "You are gorgeous, Lyn." She shook her head. "We are." He nodded, then stretched his arm. "May I?" "Who else will?" Chris's face was pale and shone in the sun, his eyes closed. The coffin was elegant, and showed his status and respect. Kaitlyn was finding it hard to cry, and she kept glancing towards Aiden, as he gave the final speech. “We will always remember beta Chris for his Sacrifice and bravery. He will always live in our hearts.” He finished and dropped the first flower in to the coffin, then stepped away. Kaitlyn came forward, dropped a flower, and mumbled a rest in peace. They turned and left, as Chris's body got lowered, accompanied by white flowers. Just before he was covered up, a red flower dropped on the pile. The sun was setting in the distance, and they had both changed into more casual clothes, walking around, hands intertwined. Aiden was watching her profile as she walked, then he smiled to himself. “What?” He shook his head. Nothing. They reached a stair leading down to the pack's gardens. He stepped down first, then extended his hand. “May I?” She was about to answer, when he cut her off. “Who else will?”
