Lily stood in front of the door suddenly not having the courage to go in.
She wondered if she should go back home or not but then she thought of anna.
She gathered all the courage she could,then she adjusts her clothes before entering.
Her eyes scanned the place searching for who she came to meet,she then walks to the table.
"You are here". said elise as lily took her seat.she called a waiter and ordered a cup of coffee for herself."what would you like to drink?".she says to lily.
"A cup of expresso for me". said lily to the waiter.she watched the waiter go away from them.
All this while,elise watched the young girl in front of her carefully."I apologize for the impromptu call".
Hearing the older woman words,lily turns to face her."It's okay.i kinda expected it". said lily.
The waiter came back to give them their order and left to attend to other customers."serving people is stressful". commented lily whose attention was on the waiter.
Elise was unsure if she actually understood where the sudden talk came from still she listened and said nothing.
"It's no surprise afterall it has always been stressful". continue lily."back then it was also stressful,so stressful that anna would complain that her back hurts".
At this point,elise could see where the talk would lead to.she hadn't spoken any words but lily already knew what she was going to ask,to her lily was smart.
"I would buy cream from the pharmacy down the street to buy her a cream so I could apply it on her.that was my own way of helping her since there wasn't much I could do".said lily."whenever I told her to stop the work,she wouldn't listen to me so I gave up instead I would go to her workplace and help her secretly".
Lily could remember how she had tried to help anna secretly by pretending to be a customer who pays the manager to help watch anna until she got caught by anna.
They had a serious argument that particular day which anna refused to speak to her.
"Whenever we fought,anna would be the one to apologize even when I was the one at fault and fights never last longer than a day but this time it took a week". said lily."it was weird to me so I went to her house but I didn't see her.then I went to meet her at work but I was told that she had gone home".
While lily was speaking,elise who listened attentively without saying anything finally spoke."did you see her that night?".asks elise to which lily shakes her head.
"I couldn't meet her that night but I saw her the next day."said lily."I asked where she had been but she gave no response.i didn't want to push the matter so I dropped it".
"Later on I found out from the manager that a vip customer had interest in anna so the vip would always request for anna's service at work and at home". said lily as she held her cup.
"At home?". asked elise with a frown as she had am inkling of what lily meant.
"At first I didn't understand what it meant until I asked anna about it". said lily."she didn't want to tell me at first but then she told me".
"I understand". said elise.she could feel that lily was uncomfortable going into details."do you know who this vip client is?".
"I am not sure but I have a suspect in mind". said lily thankful that she didn't have to explain.
"A suspect?". asked elise."who is that suspect?".
Lily took a sip from her drink slowly staring at the older woman in front unsure of her to say who she had in mind."I know this might sound odd but am being truthful about this to you.i have my reasons for the suspicion as well".
Lily words gave elise a very bad feeling which makes not very curious about the identity of the young girl suspect."okay".
"But I will feel bad if I don't tell you knowing how it would help anna so I must say it". said lily.
"Okay".
"It's the head chief of your division in the station". said lily as she finally drops the bomb.
Lily finally breathe down a sigh of relief as she finally let out everything.
Elise on the other hand felt like ice had been poured over her head, she stared at lily in shock.at first she felt like she heard wrong but realise that she didn't."you are joking right?".
"Sadly no".
Elise shakes her head in denial."it can't be possible.are you sure that you didn't make a mistake?".
"it's not a mistake". said lily."I have my reasons for it".
Elise demeanour was destroyed completely as she finds it hard to believe what she heard.
The head chief was more than just her boss at work.he was like a father to elise as well.
"Please take this". said lily as she hands a USB to elise."my reason is in there.i know that you will have more questions for me after watching so I will be waiting for you to call me".with that lily stood up and walked out of the place leaving elise stare at her back.
