He angrily opened the door and entered.
" What the hell? Tim, I thought I did not want anyone in" Tom shouted as he faced he backed the door. He thought it was his head servant that came in or let someone in without his consent.
Both Chris and Tom were shocked to see Jack in the room. They both stared at each other in surprise.
What is he doing here? Could it be he heard what we said? Why does he look deadly? God save our soul, if he heard what we have been saying, let me die here, I can smell trouble from where he is, trouble is coming for us. Tim thought.
"Oh, see whom we have here Chris" Tom mustered the courage to talk. It was kind of obvious he was still shocked.
" But buddy, you did not tell me you would be coming over, if you have, I could have planned a get together for us, you know we did not even plan that even after we left high school," Tom said smiling which was fake.
"Jackie, you did not tell us you would be coming, longest time," Chris said nervously.
Fake friends! He thought scoffing.
" How could you?" He asked breaking down in tears. He was still shocked that his friends could go to the extent of breaking his heart. All this while, he thought Naomi was the cause of it.
Would the poor lady ever forgive me again? He thought sadly. I have hurt the poor soul with my words all thanks to these scumbags I called friends. They were the ones behind the incident. Why do I find it difficult to believe this?
He could remember telling Naomi he vouched for them and this? Friends are not to be trusted. Friends backstab.
" What do you mean buddy?" Tom asked even though he already got a glimpse of what he was talking about. He stared at Jack for a while and continued, should we sit down so we can talk about why you are here and why the hell will you break down in tears? Come on let us sit"
" Is this a matter of sitting? You did something bad and you expect me to sit down with you and talk as if nothing ever happened? How can you be so evil? Where exactly did I go wrong? Even if I went wrong, why did you not tell me? Must you backstab me?"
Certainly, this guy heard what we were talking about. Chris thought.
" What are you talking about?" Tom asked pretending again.
"Stop pretending as if you do not know what is going on, you scumbag! What did I do to deserve all these? Tom, Chris, just look at me and tell me what I did to warrant what you did, tell me what I did that made you take away the most precious thing from me? Why did you turn my girl against me? Why should it be Naomi? Why? There are other girls out there? Even if you wanted to do something like that, you could have considered the relationship between the three of us or wait, let me get this right, Tom?"
" Yeah?"
" Chris?"
" What is it?"
"What are we?"
"Friends, you know that is a dumb question". Chris answered.
"Really? You know we were friends and you guys decided to backstab me? Seriously? When Naomi doubted you guys, I vouched for you, I stood my ground, I defended you, then why? Why should it be Naomi?"
" Because she was mine to begin with!"
Chris yelled and that surprised Jack.
" My love was not supposed to be yours, she was mine and is mine"
Chris started laughing which infuriated Jack the more.
" She is no more yours, okay, you brought this upon yourself, I love her and I was supposed to be her lover from the start but because I was too shy, you stole her away from me but then, I regained my senses and realized that you were cheating me, had it been that I had I was faster than you, she would be mine. Can you see you were the cause of it? You stole her away from me and I had to do something to separate you guys even if it means her not being mine again" Christian said smiling.
" I never did, I never stole her away from you, you only told us that you were in love with a certain lady and you did not know how you would let out your feelings, had it been I knew she was the lady you were talking about, you and I know I will not date to ask her out but then, it is the other way round, I found a true love and she became mine, why should you now try to separate us knowing fully well it was your fault for not letting out your feelings earlier, are you even remorseful for what you did at all?"
"Give me reasons why I should be remorseful, in fact I feel fulfilled that she is no more yours if I can not have her, then no one else will because that person will not have peace of mind"
" Chris, put yourself in my shoes, if someone ever did this to you, how would you feel?"
For some seconds, there was a hint of pity on Chris's face but then it was replaced with a smiling face.
"That is because I know it can never happen to me, I would have settled my scores and..."
"As you guys said earlier, it is not your fault but mine, I should have trusted her and not you guys, I should have given her a chance to explain herself"
" No no no, buddy, you are getting it all wrong, you know it was not our fault and besides have you forgotten in question is a slut?" Tom said interrupting him.
Jack glared harder at Tom for that statement and he suddenly became more infatuated.
Chris and Tom are annoying.
