Chapter 48.
‘ let's go in undetected ’, Sir Elvis said as they all marched down the cliff.
The midnight critters noise voiced through the forest as a figure seems to be approaching their direction with Hope sighting it from afar.
‘ watch out ’, he yelled.
Sir Elvis slowly turns around only to sight a demon lunging for him in a very fast motion.
“ spark ”.
‘ get behind me ’, Ino widely spreads his hands open like a shield, protecting him from the demon.
A loud thud could be heard as the demon was sent packing for the ground with dusts dashing into the atmosphere.
‘ move away from it ’, Alvin said as he swiftly moves forward slowly to the demon who seems to be in his drenched blood.
‘ what are you ’, in a surprise tone while repositioning himself to land a blow.
Within a twinkle of an eye, the demon tilts up his head and swiftly mauled for Alvin grabbing him with the both of them rolling down the cliff.
‘ no, Alvin ’, she runs off to the edge slowly reaching for his hand before he went down the cliff.
He holds her back and drags her away from the edge by her hand.
‘ we can not do anything thing about it, he is already gone, all we need to do is to stick together, are you getting my point ’, Sir Elvis said while staring at her crying eyes.
She grunts and aggressively moves away from him with tears dripping down her cheeks.
‘ I can not leave here without Alvin, he is my only blood, sorry to say that you will have to kill me cause am not going anywhere ’, she said.
Hope was the only person behind, he looks a little scared with his mouth suddenly drying out of saliva, he sighs heavily as he slow moves into them but to only discover that he is not the only person scared.
‘ don't worry, I myself am also scared but that doesn't mean that am gonna back down ’, he pats him on the shoulder with Hope immediately reacting by turning to his back staring at Angela as she braces Sir Elvis.
He walks up to her.
‘ don't worry, we are going to bring him back but this time that demon is going to pay with his own blood ’, he proclaims with confidence.
She turns her face to him.
‘ let me come with you, I can also be of help ’, she said in a low tone accompanied with a sadistic look on her face.
As Hope was about saying something to her, Ino intruded.
’ am going with him, you can then be safe knowing that the demon is gonna die by our sword ’, he stares at Hope.
At this moment Angela mind was on Alvin's secret, what if they see him as a demon and mistakenly or they eventually kill him. She had more worst thoughts about what might happen. She then decided to break a leg for it to refuse their offer to best asure his safety.
As she was about saying it Elvis concluded the conversation.
‘ that's nice, Hope, Ino and Alon we go in search for your brother while me and you will leave for the little village nearby, just have hope don't be afraid to loss him ’, he hugs her with her head on his chest.
They all looked at each other with only Hope moving into the forest, leading the way for his gang.
While at another place in the forest.
He slowly opens his eyes as he looks like who was just asleep before the event happened.
‘ where am I ’, he said while slowly raising up his hand.
He took up to his feet while mourning in pain. Getting on his feet he sights deceased corpses of several people piled up against one another.
The unpleasant smell makes him to guard his nose as he walks into another place.
He scoffs, ‘ where is this place ’, he reached for what seems to be a rope and swung up standing on a broken tree about the ground.
‘ this is genocide ’, he muttered as he saw what seems to be a net around the space of deceased bodies with maggots hovering around the dead bodies.
He heard a loud roaring and immediately squats down only to see a retracted limp zooming through his head level.
‘ so you are awake, I was not expecting you to survive that heavy blow, you don't stand a chance against me ’, the demon said from the shadows with his teeth shiny through the darkness.
Alvin slides his leg forward with his unsheathe sword as the demon emerges from the shadow.
The demon was half bestial form and a half scorpion with it's scorpion like tail. His fangs and body were looking strong accompanied with his exo body skeletal form.
‘ you bastard, stay still ’, he drives his tail through the ground send dusts into Alvin space with him protecting his eyes from the dusts.
“ pow ”, the demon tail emerges from the dusts and knocks him off balance, sending him flying through his space and colliding with a tree breaking through it.
The dusts engulfs the environment with the demon swiftly moving in an disorganized manner.
He placed his elbow to the ground and tries to get back up on his feet.
He coughs and spits out blood from his mouth using his hands to clean his lips and slowly staggering on feet.
“ Zoom ”, he could see the demon streak as it looks blur. The demon moves around his space in the dusts and began to cut Alvin's skin.
His image were blur in the dusts as he moves to and fro with his contracted claws aiming for Alvin.
“ pow ”, his flying tail hits Alvin's low jaw from underneath, he flies up into the air and lands back to the ground with his mouth widely open as he drops down lifelessly to the ground.
He lick his tongue and slowly walks up to him, ‘ you are mine ’, in a scary tone.
He rose him up with his tail curl around his left ankle as he slowly open his mouth and was about eating off his head when suddenly he opens his eyes and kicks back the demon on his mouth with a momentum force that makes him to stand on his feet with his hands dangling below his knee level.
The demon looks surprise.
‘ you are my food not my play toy, now get over here ’, he yelled as he lunge his tail for him.
His back view was against the demon but he could sense him coming, “ swish ”, he did a back flip with the demon tail driving into a tree.
‘ you will pay ’, in a high tone.
The tree breaks and he sends his tail for him this time but Alvin cloaks his tail to his neck, clutching it so hard that the demon suddenly weigh down to his knees.
‘ let go of me, what are you ’, he reaches for him with both of his hands but Alvin dragged him down with veins displaying on his face as the air slowly escapes his lungs.
The demon falls down with Alvin back view against him.
Another spark occurred but this time with the demon rising up to his feet.
‘ you thought you could stop me ’, with blood drenching down to the rest of it's body.
‘ remember am a demon..’
“ swish ”, Alvin's demons urges takes over his body with himself maul to the demon, slicing through his stomach with blood gushing out.
‘ so you are a demon..’, he struggles for his life and slowly fades away into the wind.
As he sighs heavily a voice entered his thoughts.
‘ well done boy you have passed my mission, you should not be scared ’, the voice said.
‘ who or what are you ’, he asked with the voice displaying a laughing tone.
‘ don't pretend like you don't know me when I know you, how will you tell the others about you that you were killed and turned in to a demon ’, in a bold tone with the voice slowly vanishing from his head.
‘ what was that ’, Alvin said to himself while staring at himself.
He slowly rose on his feet and finds his way around the forest in search for his way out of the environment.
While Elvis and Angela arrives in a ghost town, the town was as silent as a grave yard with the wind blowing through the metal doors and gates in the town.
Sir Elvis looks around with his eyes widely open.
‘ what is this place ’.
She moves closer to him cleaning her tears, ‘ I don't think people live here, it's too quiet ’, in a soft tone while staring at him.
‘ stay behind me and don't move away from me ’.
She nods her head as Sir Elvis led the way into the ghost town.
“ footsteps ”, as he slowly moves in a far distance into the town, ‘ mmh ’, he hums as he uses his hands to block her from running in.
‘ let's go in there ’, she points at a nearby shack.
He sights it and they both walked into the shack with Elvis locking the door behind them.
He helps her to a chair, ‘ take your seat and just stay calm before you end up losing it to your worries ’, in a low tone while patting her on her shoulder.
As he was about stepping outside she holds him back, ‘ don't go anywhere, stay here with me, am getting worried about lossing someone else today, I have already lost my brother ’, in a low tone.
He stares at her and slowly removes her hand from his arm, ‘ that's why am in search for him, don't you worry a thing, am gonna bring him back all I need is for you to be patient with me ’, he said to her as he swiftly went through the door locking her in with a stick across it.
“ clinking sounds ”.
She rushed to the door pushing it with all her might, ‘ what are you doing, please let me out of here ’, in a scary tone accompanied with a worried look on her face.
But he tilts down his head and had disappointment written all over his appearance, ‘ am sorry I can't let you out of the room, it's my promise to make you safe, you brother is already gone, do him a favour by staying alive if you die who is gonna take up your family legacy, am sorry things have to be this way ’, accompanied with a scoff as he walks away from the door.
‘ no..I need to get out of here, please don't leave me in here all by myself ’, she said in a soft tone while leaning by the door with her hands clutching to it's handle.
As Sir Elvis slowly walks into a distance he could hear her voice from afar as she calls out for him but he rather ignores her than to help her thinking he is doing the right thing not knowing he isn't.
‘ am sorry but that's all I have to do, I don't have any choice but to help your brother out, if you come with me your family legacy might be at risk but it's better you stay firm from it cause if I should agree with it, you might end up dead like who knows what may have happened to your brother ’, he said to himself as he walks away into the darkness.
While Angela rests her back at the wall while holding her head up high with a sadistic look on her face with tears dripping down her cheeks.
She reaches for the door and slowly drags her finger down to the floor, ‘ forgive me brother, I have failed you, I never really hide your secret from others, because of me you are at risk, something needs to be done about this I can't just stay here and watch you die like an animal, I need to do something ’, she soliloquies to herself as she reaches for the door with both of her palms against it.
While Hope and his gang were already approaching a nearby land mark close to a large river seperating them from another land with a little land scale.
He looks over it and said to the others, ‘ we can't make it there without taking a hoop, so what do we do right now ’, he said to him while glimpsing at the river.
Ino looks forward, ‘ we need to get there some how, but how do we do so it's so far ahead unless ’, he stressd.
Alon looks at him.
‘ what do you mean by unless, tell me what we are gonna do ’, in a bold tone.
‘ unless we jump over the river or we use a rope to swing across it by tiring it to a tree ’.
‘ ooh no, that's suicide, we can't making it across on time before it might end up snappy so if you say so how do we get a rope to help us do that ’, Alon said.
‘ then let's take the risk before we end up losing Alvin ’, Hope concluded.
Ino cuts down a vein nearby and tires it to a tree then drags it down to see how tight it is, ‘ let's go for it ’, in a serious tone while swinging across the river with it.
A loud thud occurred as he lands on his feet, he rose up his head and stares at the other side, ‘ now it's your turn, you all should jump over the river with the rope, just don't looking down ’, in a low tone.
Hope takes the rope and swung across the river landing on his feet. It was now remaining Alon who seems to be freaking out in fear.
‘ now it's your turn Alon, jump across the river without looking down ’, in a serious tone.
He looks at the limit of the river and shuddered with his eyes looking away from the river, ‘ I can't, it's too far away ’, he said while slowly moving backward.
‘ ok then let's go without him then and save sometime before things gets out of hand ’ Ino said while walking away from Alon into the forest with Hope arguing with him about his decision.
‘ we can not just leave him here like for real, is this how we are gonna let our friend die off because of what, cause he does not know how to face his fears ’, Hope said while yelling out loud at him.
He remains mute and walks away from his presence.
Alon had no choice but to jump across the river aggressively slamming his body to the ground with a loud thud sending dusts into the air.
Hope looks at him as Ino walks up to him stretching his hands to him with a mysterious smile on his face.
‘ I know you were gonna make it ’, Ino said while staring at him.
Hope looks surprised, ‘ what do you mean by that or were you practically trying to make him jump over the river with pressure or what ’, Hope said.
‘ yes of course ’, He answered.
He grabs his hand and helps himself up on his feet walking with them into the forest.
 Few minutes later as they have almost arrived where Alvin was, he was still standing still watching from a distance till he sights them coming for his direction.
‘ isn't that Alvin from afar ’, Alon said.
They look up only to discover that he was the one, ‘ yes he is the only but what is he doing there all by himself ’, Hope said while staring at him with a serious look on his face accompanied with it's tone.
‘ let's walk up to him ’, Ino said.
He could hear footsteps approaching his destination, he looks back and smiles at them sighting them, ‘ for how long were you all searching for me ’, Alvin said.
Alvin was covered in blood as he was drenched in it accompanied with a sadistic look on his face.
‘ what happened to you and why are you just standing there all by yourself ’, Hope asked while observing him.
He looks at himself and fakes a smile on his face, ‘ I was attacked remember but I don't know how am still alive it may be because am a very strong ass guy to die ’, Alvin said as he points at the dead bodies lying down on the ground.
‘ take a look around, can you not notice that we are all trapped in a net ’, in a low tone.
They all looked around their space only to discover several dead bodies lying around the net with maggots hovering around the bodies accompanied with an unpleasant smelling odour elevating from the bodies.
‘ what the hell are this ’, he steps on the dead bodies as he turns it over it seems to be a man about his 30s without an eyeball on his left socket.
‘ what happened here ’, Alon asked staring at the body.
‘ they were attacked and fed on by the demon but I took care of it by killing it ’, he remembers his sister, ‘ what about Angela, where is she ’, in a bold.
‘ she's with Elvis ’, in a soft tone.
‘ then that is settled, let's find our way out of here ’, Alon said as he shuddered.
They all walked out of the net with one of the dead body raising up his decayed hand into the air with a loud grunts escaping the pile.
While....
“ clinking sounds ”, a figure seems to be sighted sitting on the floor with a long hair sporting on her head covering her forehead from been seen.
The figure was shievering in fear as the sounds of metals and glasses begins to occur more frequently.
The figure turns out to be Angela, she was just sitting there behind the door staring at the floor.
She was locked in few minutes ago what now seems to look like she was trapped in an isolation for years.
Her hands were already pale she looks around in fear as any weird sound draws her attention to the door.
‘ Alvin....’, she stressed while looking sadistic.
While Sir Elvis was out in search for the rest of them not knowing that he was been followed be something, he hears sounds but doesn't think of what might be coming ahead of him instead he moves forward with his unsheathed sword by his side as he wonders through the place with his head held high.
He walks further and further into the ghost town until he heard a voice of a crying child coming from a nearby by place close to where he was.
He dashed in with no hesitation only to discover that it was a trap.
He looks around only to see dead body of several people, he touches it and then discovered that they were still fresh meaning that the ghost town was already populated by people before the onslaught.
He moves backwards with his back and colildes with something with his back. He turns around only to sight a tree that was inches above the ground.
He trust his sword to the ground and squats with one of is knee to the ground and touches the soil with one of his finger.
The texture of the soil seems to be moisture and very soft but the green life around there seems to be dead with even few around it alive.
He looks at the dead body and said to himself.
‘ it seems the dead bodies around here have been contaminated with the toxicity in the soil but how does this affect the human, I think the humans were already murdered or killed by something ’, he hums before voicing out to himself, ‘ so that means that here is a demons net or what ’, he moves back only to hear the crying sound of the child boom through again but this time he remains still with his sword firmly positioned..
‘ zoom ’, sending dusts packing for his face.
He struggles to see through it only to sight a female figure standing upright and had a very long red hair that it even swept the ground with her every step.
Her skin was pale coloured accompanied with her blue eyes and contracted claws and little fangs.
‘ what are you ’ he asked in a low tone staring at her but she remains mute and walks up to him slowly.
He moves back as he was afraid of what might happen.
“ pow ”, her long hair haul Elvis to the ground as he sweeps the ground with his face.
He spits out blood before taking up to his feet with his sowrd flying across her space as he was about landing a blow she moves her body away avoiding his deadly blow and swings her head capturing his leg with her hair.
She aggressively swings her head to her side and he dashed through a big tree trunk with bone cracking sounds.
He struggles to breath as he cloaks his hand to his neck repositioning his bone, he staggers on his feet and picks up his sword from the trusted ground.
He moves around her in circle and lunges in again for another blow but this time with him dominating her every attack and redirecting it back to her.
They kept on exchanging claws for sword with sparks occuring at their every collision.
He moves back with a force sliding his legs to his right and swiftly moving onward with his unsheathe sword charging for her throat.
He leaps into the air and was about to strike when she levitates into the air suspending him in motion throwing her left hand for his neck slowly strangling him of air to breath.
He struggles with her hands on his neck trying to break her off but it seems the more he tries the more she pressures.
He slowly positioned his sword horizontal and stabs her on the stomach piercing through several times but she doesn't more a muscle.
He slowly closes his eyes knowing that there is no hope for him when suddenly the hears a cut and the hold on him slowly loosen.
He was thrown to the ground unconscious but could only hear sounds of footsteps approaching where he was. He slowly opens his eyes and sights some figures above him.
He reaches for their faces with his eyes slowly closing, ‘ help me..’, he blanks out with his hands slowly dropping down lifelessly to the ground with blood drooling down his opened mouth...
While at another location Hope and his gang now reunited with Alvin search for Sir Elvis and Angela. As they kept moving Alvin led the way unknown to them that he was using his demon senses to lead the way out of the forest.
Getting out they saw a warning sign talking about a radioactive disease but Alvin went through the site now arriving at the shack where Angela was hiding.
‘ that's the shack ’, in a low tone.
Hope nods his head and moves back with the crew doing the same. He drives his feet through the door breaking it down with Angela moving away in fear while dusts escorts the crew into the shack, ‘ Angela ’, her name voiced through the shack with her hiding from them in fear.
As they moved away in disappointment, she charges for Alvin placing a piece of wood on his throat.
‘ don't move a muscle ’, she commanded in a serious.
The crew turns around revealing their identity to her, ‘ Angela relax it's us and Alvin ’.
She moves away dropping down the wood and bursting into tears.
‘ don't worry sister am here for you now ’, he hugs her and pats her on her back.
While Alon and Hope shake hands with Alon expressing relief.
