Cindy's POV
(Seven years ago)
The ambulance arrived at the party as everyone kept screaming and crying...I stood there... Confused and scared... Wondering what the hell just happened
Is this even possible?
Right in front of me?

Vanished
My Mom arrived with my sister as she came down from the car and ran towards me
"Cindy... Is everything okay?... Are you alright?" She asked as she hugged me tightly
I couldn't even make out words because I'm still in shock
My best friend literally disappeared at my face!!
"How did you even get out the house... I thought you were grounded?" My sister Esther said... Looking all sassy
"Your little sister is in shock and all you care about is her punishment?" My mom yelled at her
"If she was home... She wouldn't be" My sister yelled back... Her eyes all tearing up
She shades tears when she gets mad
Such a baby
"Get in the Car" My mom said but she stood there glaring at her
"GET IN THE FUCKING CAR ESTHER!!" My mom screamed and she hissed and walked off
I don't know why my sister hates me so much... She always picks at me ever since I was little... Is it because mom likes me more than her?
But is not my fault
"Mom... Why is Sis mad?" I asked slowly.. Trying not to break down and cry
"Is okay baby... She's just having a hard time okay?... Let's go" Mom said as she clutches my hand... Walking me towards the car and then I hear someone yelling at us as we turned to look
They were cops
"Excuse me Ma... We have some few questions for your daughter" One the cops said
"No sir... She has enough for today... You can drop by tomorrow for your questions to be answered" Mom said but one of them asked immediately
"Where is your friend Ray?"
And then the image of her disappearing into that thick black smoke came over me as I break down to cry
I don't know
I don't know what took her
I'm just confused and
And scared
"I'm so sorry Ma'am" One of the cops apologies but my Mom waved them off and took me to the car and drove off
(At Cindy's House that same night)
"Do you realise how dangerous that is Cindy... You could have told us" My dad said as we were all sitting at the living room
Except for my sister
"Honey... Take it easy on her... She's just a child" Mom said as she held my dad's hand on the table as I ate silently
I walked slowly to my room as I changed into my PJs... It was the same colour with Ray's and we both bought them as Christmas gift and it was really fun that night
I peered through my window... Wishing if all that was just a dream or not... Expecting her to just turn up and say it was all a stupid prank
But
I know that wasn't really a prank
Because the terror written on her face when she saw me before she disappeared
It was real
So slept and had the worst nightmare I can remember
I was walking into the woods... Screaming
"Ray!!!!.... Ray!!!... Where are you Ray!!!" I yelled as I started to run through the woods and then I heard giggling and I stopped... Searching from where I heard it from
It giggled again and I turned quickly to the direction from where I heard it and saw Ray running deeper into the woods not to far from me as I called out to her and then she stopped running... Not to far away from me
Then I walked towards her slowly
"Ray... Ray please come back... Ray... Is that really a prank.... Did you really disappear?... Ray?" I said through sobs as tears roll down my face as I held her shoulder... I tried turning her around slowly and suddenly
It wasn't Ray
It was a something so horrifying
It has red glowing eyes and her face pale as ever as she roared at me and I screamed with terror and fear
I kept screaming from my nightmare as my my mom barged into my room and grabbed me quickly... Waking me up
"Cindy... Cindy wake up... Is just a dream... Wake up" Mom as she shook me and I held her tightly as I opened my eyes... I cried on her arms she she held me
"Mom... I saw... I saw.."
"Shhhhhh.... Is okay... Calm down
. Is just a dream okay?" Mom said as she rubbed my back gently then I saw my sister through Mom's shoulders as she stood there staring at me and then left
(Later in the morning at school)
I walked through the halls searching for Ray but I couldn't see her
Is she really gone?
Maybe I will go visit her at home
I closed my locker and then saw Ray's crush... His leg and arm on bandage as he turned and saw me... I closed up my locker quickly and walked away quickly as he called out to me
"Cindy.... Cindy!!!"
I ran out of the hall as students kept watching me
I can't handle all those stares
They might think I made Ray disappear
I reached at Ray's house as I saw Tyler and a girl going back to their house... Maybe they went to see Ray
That means she's alive
Omg
I walked to the front porch and knocked and her father opened the door
"What?" He asked... Kinda pissed
"Is.... Is.... Is Ray around?" I asked as I tried to look through him
"She's not ready to see anyone... Now scoot off or I'm calling the cops" He said pointing the direction to my house and I nodded slowly and walked away
Well... Thank God she's alive but... Why would her dad wants to keep her away
Something isn't right but I'm just gonna wait until I see Ray
She has better explanation to this

(Seven years later)
"We are moving out" Mom said and I choked on my milkshake my big sister got for me
Yeah we are now getting along well after some huge fight we had which almost cost my life
But that's another story to tell
"Why are we moving out and to where?" My sister asked frowning
Yeah like why?
"Your father got a promotion and he will be working in Canada" Mom said as she grabbed a bugger
"Canada!!" My sister and I yelled together
Like... Any other country but Canada?
Urrgghhhhh
That place is like Alaska during winter
But I guess I needed a little change cause after all this years
This place really keeps reminding me of her and I need to move on
So later that morning I grabbed my bag and headed to school.... Walked into the class and students kept whispering and all of a sudden Amelia came up to me
She's the top town gossip queen
"Have you heard?" She asked as I dropped my bag pack on my desk
"What now Amelia... I'm not really into your weird stories now" I said
"Ray's father is dead" She said and my eyes widened as I looked up at her in shock
"What?"
"Yeah she's nowhere to be found and the cops are all over the town searching for her" She said as she gave me her phone to see the news update in the Internet
Oh no
What is really going on with her
Is she kidnapped?
Then the principal came into the class
"Cindy Holland?" She called out
"Yes ma'am" I answered as her eyes searching around came up to me
"To my office... Now" She said
Shit
(At the principal's office)
I walked in as I saw two cops in there and then I got scared
Why are they here
For me?
"Don't worry Miss Holland... We are just here to ask you about your friend Ray... Do you have any idea where she might be... Has she in anyway contacted you? One of the cops asked
"No... We haven't seen or spoken for six years" I said as tears roll down my checks
I haven't seen her since she....
Disappeared
(Two weeks later in Canada)
It isn't that bad... I mean I'm free from my old place... Although I kinda missed it but here is like a gateway place
A fresh start
Is been two weeks I started school and I made great friends
Dora and Derim
They are both siblings and always on each others neck... Trust me they are literally annoying but... With them I'm never bored
We are inseparable
Then today... Today is only day I never wanted to happen

"Seriously Cinny....get down or I will get you down myself!!" Derim yelled from the living room...and I and Dora were in my room applying some make up
"Shut the hell up and give us girls some time.... Is not easy to look perfect!!" Dora yelled back
"You mean perfectly ridiculous?!!"Derim asked
Dora rolled her eyes as I giggle

"We should hurry up... You know we already skipped first period... We don't wanna miss English class... Mr grumpy will definitely not gonna take it" I said as I paint her nails
"I know.... I know...lets just wrap this up... We will finish up on our way... Being a cheerleader isn't easy at all" She said as she packed some of the cosmetics into her purse and we both stood up and grab our bags
Dora and I got downstairs as Derim stared at us with disgust written all over his face
"Wipe off those garbage looks.... You really look terrible" Dora said as we walked out
"You look like a freaking cartoon" Derim said... Spreading his hands
"Mom I'm off to school!!" I yelled
"Okay baby... Come home early!" She yelled from the kitchen
"Sure!!!.... Love you!!"
"Love you!!"
I came out as I entered the car as Derim and Dora kept on arguing and I smiled

We arrived at school as we all came down then I brought out my back pack
"We will meet you at the class later... I need to take Dora to see the counselor" Derim said and Dora rolled eyes
"I'm not five Derim" Dora said in a duhh tone
He turned to her
"Yeah....thats why if I let you go all by yourself... You gonna ditch it.. So I'm coming with" Derim said as Dora gave him the middle finger
"Okay guys... Be quick... Classes begins in 20 minutes"
"Of course... Let's go barbie doll" Derim said as he grabbed Dora's hand as she starts yelling at him
They are really going to be just fine
I guess lol
So I jogged through the hallways as I stepped into the class and that's where I met the only one person I tried so hard to forget
"I'm so sorry I'm late" I mumbled quickly to the teacher as I looked around the class with a smile on my face and then my eyes landed on her as all my smiles faded
My eyes landed on Ray
My best friend
And Tyler?
We all stare in shock
