Gwenn Pov
The camp was quiet, everybody was feeling the loss… not as much as the three of us. Themis, Orel and me. For a day now, we have done nothing but remain within Elison space, sitting among his things, not talking or moving around much. We didn’t care if we were in public or neither did we try to pretend to be strong for our warriors.
“He always so patient with me, he taught me my first sword trick.” I said softly, the first one of us to break the silence, Orel turned to look at me with eyes that looked as if the soul have been sucked out of them.
He was the first person to ever beat me in a bawl then he suggested that we should join the army together.” Orel added.
“I cannot believe he is gone.” I voiced as I rubbed my palms on my shoulders like I was cold but I knew it wasn’t the cold, I was feeling the piercing loss of our friend and brother and I also knew that I would not accept comfort in Orel arms, this was my fault.
“My queen…” Sorens said, he had always being beside me since I returned to the camp but I had ignored him and the rest of his brothers who came to check on me, the queen who commanded them and made them feel emotion. The queen who could now take up her role and lead, too bad the power had to awaken in me when my friend died.
“SHUT UP” I ordered and without any hesitation. Sorens mouth clamped closed. “You could have helped but you didn’t, he would have been alive now if you had just helped.” I blamed him while standing up and facing my so called commander.
Sorens looked me. He sank to his knees, staring at my face with an awed look. Like he was staring at something so beautiful, so painfully beautiful. “Stop staring and me like that and say something, this was your fault.” I yelled as my knees weakened and I sank to the ground and broke down into sobs in earnest. “Defend yourself.” I said softly.
“He cannot.” Orel said, he noticed everything and seemed like he read the signs which Sorens seemed to have displayed and was still displaying.
“What?” I asked Orel.
“He cannot defend himself because you told him to shut up so he cannot utter another word.” Orel said as Themis gasps.
“You can finally command them.”
That news didn’t make me to feel better instead it made me to feel even worse. “So I finally learnt how to control them but it happened too late… what is the used?” My face crumbled at what was supposed to be a wonderful news, something which I had wanted for a while, if this had happened a week earlier I would have been excited but not anymore, I had already lost one of the most valuable persons in my life.
“We still have the war to fight.” Orel said with a strange look on his face, “We can still punish those who were partly responsible for his death.”
My face perked up at the thought of that. “Yes revenge.” I said. “Sorens, look at me and speak.” I added in my best bossiest voice.
Sorens opened his mouth to reply me, I had proved myself. “I never stopped looking at you mistress.”
“Mistress?” I asked.
“The one who owns my complete being, I am a slave to her will and desire, and we all are. Mistress.” Sorens answers.
I looked at Sorens strangely, I still didn’t understand what was happening but she could not focus on that right now. “Let’s go and see if it will work on others.”
“It will mistress, it worked on me, for I am the strongest of the legion present with you.” Sorens said but I shook my head.
“You are talking crazier than normally Sorens and I am not in the right head space to decipher your crazy talk, let’s see my army them we can go decimate those who were partially responsible for the death of my friend.” I ordered as Sorens nodded.
“As you wish, mistress.” I left with Sorens trailing behind me and staring at me with that look of adoration on his face, like the sun and moon rose and set because of me and I was getting freaked out by it.

Themis Pov
“There is no danger, all is clear if you want to end the war, you can end it by the day over tomorrow, if you start today.” I said to my husband as Orel rolled up the scroll where the map of the area was drawn on, he had made me look through it so that he would not be face with any unwanted surprises.
“What will be the amount of warriors lost?” Orel asked bracing to hear a big amount.
“Less than 10000.” I replied as Orel jerked in surprise.
“They have twice as much as we do Themis, surely you cannot be right.”
“Oh I am right, we have something that they don’t.” I winked at him.
“And what is that?” Orel asked me with skeptism written all over his tone.
“The most powerful legion of the last magic kingdom that survived the fall of that era and their queen.” I replied as Orel looked at me with a thoughtful look on his face before nodding.
“Okay, let’s end this war.” Orel made to stand but I covered his hand with mine.
“Are you okay?” I asked softly.
“As okay I can be right now, all I can do is distract myself from the fact that he is gone… and I will used that strength to end this because it is what he would have wanted.” With that Orel kissed my cheek then stood up and left.
I looked around me with a sigh… well I guess that this was it. Our last day of peace before the world go scary the next day.Download Novelah App
