Melissa just just got the horrible news about her friend’s dead. “ nothing dear, it’s nothing” she lied choosing to keep their dead a secret, telling the girl about her parents dead could leave her traumatized. “ Aunty please tell me, your saying everything is fine but your face is saying otherwise. So please tell me what the problem. Are my parents okay? Mom told me both her and daddy will be going on a business trip, nothing has happen to them right?” her voice break tears slide down her little cheeks which have turn red. Melissa decided to tell her the truth seeing as she doesn’t want to give up on knowing what the problem is “ I’m princess your mom and dad, they um, they are” she broke into tears finding it hard to tell the little girl the news. “ are my parents okay?” Catrina’s mind is thinking of the worst scenario her little brain can come up with “ aunt mom and dad had an accident right? That’s all they are in the hospital and are getting treatment, don’t worry they will be fine. My parents are strong, they are fighters” her aunt stay silent for while before shaking her head murmuring “ no” “ what do you mean no? So they are fine? Answer me” she yell, Catrina has an idea of what must have happened but she is denying it she is denying what her mind is telling her. “ baby I’m your mom and dad were involved in an accident and they, they, they didn’t make it, am sorry” she cry hard “ nn nn no, your lying, your a liar I don’t believe you. My parents are alive and they are okay, they are fine, they are fine, they are fine, mama promised, she, she said she wouldn’t leave me, she promised to be there, dad said he if going to be there always and forever, dad neve breaks his promise.” She murmurs to herself, he legs gave up and she falls to the ground “ I don’t believe you” she said looking at her aunt with tears in her eyes. “ baby am sorry “ no, no I don’t believe you I won’t believe you until I see them with my own eyes” she wakes up from the ground and run to her room. Throughout the night Catrina couldn’t sleep, she just stare at the ceiling with tears dripping down her eyes. When the time morning came she wake up from her bed and brush her teeth then take her bath, her aunt help her pack up her bag since they will be going back to America “ come have your breakfast baby” Melissa call her “ am not hungry aunty” “Please baby you need to eat and it looks like you didn’t sleep at all last night, come” Catrina drag herself to were her aunty is “ everything will be okay and am here to take care of you okay” she nods her head. “ come on eat something” Catrina take a spoon of rice to her mouth chew on it but couldn’t swallow it, her aunt just look at her feeling sorry for the little girl. They board a flight to America leaving England behind the moment the they step out of the plane Catrina ran to go hug her uncle Frederick who was waiting for her. “ uncle is it true? My mom and dad are okay right?” Frederick just hug her acting like he cared for her but deep down he was happy. Catrina look at her parents who look so peaceful in their coffin, she cry begging them to come back to her remind them of the promises they made to her. Her uncle claim full custody of her, Melissa couldn’t take her because they are not blood related. ................ END OF FLASHBACK............... Epie was in tears after hearing everything “ can you remember the name of the airline?
