As we enter Leo's house, Kael greeted us first at the living room with Leo. They said they were just playing an online game while waiting for us. I squat down to remove my shoes. The other two soon follows me. Coincidentally, we three have the same sock brand.
"Kael's early, hmm, okay." Rei sits beside him on the large sofa. Kael's one of the late students in Craft Class. Maybe she recalled that in thought. "Oh, do you want to sit here?" she asks Shanaia.
She furrows her brows after hearing it. "Uh, no thanks." And sits beside me after I sit beside Leo.
"You're just late," Kael said.
"Better late than never," Rei responds.
"Are the others coming?" I ask, not really caring if someone doesn't.
"Uh, yeah. They're already upstairs," Leo says.
The rest of us including Kael, reacted to this. Didn't really believed him. Leo laughs and shrugs his shoulders. "They came in early to sleep."
"Why didn't you said so! I could've slept too." Kael laughs. I gave him a look.
"That's why I didn't tell you," Leo shakes his head.
"You should wake them up," I say. "Let's get started."
Everybody agrees. As soon as Leo stands up, we hear the front door suddenly creaks open, only to reveal a person coming in. We pause for a while, can't really see who's coming in because the front door's direction is covered with a wall in the living room.
"Aren't we just seven?" Shanaia beside me asks.
"Leo, did you invite someone else to come over?" I ask. Leo turns to us, shaking his head slowly.
"Who's coming over then?" After I said that, the front door suddenly creates a loud thud, closing by now.
"Shiㅡ" Kael says as Rei and him jump over our sofa to squeeze theirselves beside me. Shanaia from my left also did the same.
"What are you doing!!"
"Kael, move!! It's better if you're at the side!"
"It's not my fault your scared.!"
"Look who's talking!"
"Shut up!!"
It was Shanaia's shout that made them shut up and Leo's smack of a pillow made Kael laugh. I smack Kael's hand when he almost choked me in the arms while reaching for Shanaia for a group hug. When Rei noticed that she isn't included in the hug, she runs towards Shanaia and sits beside her. They keep on laughing while doing it all over.
"Leo. Just please, check who it is." I'm saying those words with a bored expression on my face. The other three keeps pushing each other. I don't know if they're still scared or just playing.
"Just a second.." he tells me while slowly peaking from behind the wall.
"I didn't know your house is this hauntedㅡ"
"You're the one who's trying to make it into one!" Rei whispers back to Kael.
"Would you guys shut up for a minute?!" Shanaia whispers back.
When I couldn't stand the wait anymore, I stand up. But right after I did, we hear the door creaking again. I widened my eyes when Leo runs back towards us and sits on my place while laughing.
"Great, now I'm one of you," he says and squeeze his self beside Kael.
"Why are we doing this anyway?" Kael laughs.
I breathe in and out before walking towards the wall to see. They could've just peak through or walk out. They're being too much of a baby. I mean, it's early in the morning, nothing scary could every happenㅡ"
"BOO!!"
"AHH!!"
"AHHHHHH!!! HAHAHA!"
"WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM?!"
I covered my ears after being frightened. It was me who shouted first because of Sid suddenly appearing infront while eating a sandwich. The others' screams followed and then Rei's 'what's your problem'.
Sid keeps laughing but he soon fix his self and stops what he's doing when I seriously stared at him. It's not funny.
"I was just playing around. I'm sorry," Sid shows a laugh.
"Whatever." I sit back at the couch with my pride hurt. I just shouted, you know.
"Was it you?" Leo asks him.
"Me, what?"
"Who just came in."
"Of course, I just came in."
We see Rei slap her forehead and pushes Leo. "Ask properly!"
Shanaia soon asks about it but Sid shakes his head. He said he's been upstairs with Darren who's still sleeping. And when he understands the question, he points at Leo.
"Oh! It was your mom. I nearly forgotㅡthis was the reason why I came here." He raises his sandwich slightly. "Your mother says we should eat first."
The looks on their faces are just unexplainable. Everybody looked at Leo and he slowly smiles awkwardly. Rei sighs. "You forgot your mother?"
"I just forgot that she's coming home!" He even tells us that her mother left early to help his father at the flower shop.
Everybody starts to stand up and Rei speaks. "Not an excuse."
Kael laughs and puts and arm around Leo's shoulder. "Cheer up, man." Leo just scratches the back of his neck.
