The new plan

THE NEW PLAN
Holding her hands like he’s not going to let go of her the second time, Rotimi stares at him and sees how obsessive he has become.
“Oluwaseyi!! Stop doing any terrible thing to yourself just because you want to see me, next time you might be dead”
Rotimi tries to explain to him.
Oluwaseyi sighs and takes his hands off hers, putting them into his pocket.
“If that be the case then, what does it take the living to be called dead?”
“What nonsense do you speak of?”
“The fact that I want to be with you again, maybe confess my love for you Rotimi that’s what I want!”
“Wake up Seyi! Wake up!”
Rotimi shouted at him
Oluwaseyi wasn’t expecting it, he turned and looked at Rotimi who stood with her fist folded.
“What’s wrong with you?”
“I should rather ask you what’s wrong with you”
Oluwaseyi fires back.
“What’s wrong with you Rotimi? I’m I asking too much? What’s keeping you too long to come back? What?”
“I’m not coming back Seyi, no dead ever did”
Rotimi said in a calm voice.
“Why—what—what are you saying?”
Oluwaseyi stammers
“I’m sorry Seyi!”
Rotimi said, turning her back and leaving, then Oluwaseyi jerked and woke up. He took his coat that d at of wards tried to stop him but for a moment it’s like he became too fierce, he was unstoppable. He snatched the cold room’s key and went in and locked them from outside.
He went to Rotimi’s coffin and brought out her body. It was properly maintained so her beauty was still in place. He stares at it and tears leave his eyes.
“Rotimi, Rotimi dear, I had a dream, a bad dream, that you said you aren’t coming back to me, tell me it’s all lies, please tell me, if it’s true, let my heart stop or anything, give me sign please Rotimi”
He held the corpse and stared at its numb face, he looks at it really expecting an answer, then the doctors at the door broke in and dragged him out and then Rotimi caused his heart to ache, he squeezed his heart in pain, with the fact that the dragged him outside, she stood beside her corpse and revealed herself to only Seyi
“I’m not returning Seyi”
Then she let go of her hand as Seyi dragged her back in there to go see Rotimi. Rotimi looks at how Oluwaseyi is suffering and only anger was what she could deposit.
“Rotimi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
#
Blows a whistle with her mouth with two coffee cups in her hand but Rotimi’s countenance was fairly homely.
“Here!”
Mitchell said, lending her a cup of coffee. Rotimi sighs and stretches forth her hand and gets it.
“I really needed this, thanks”
“You’re welcome, but what’s with the long face? Uhn!”
“It’s Oluwaseyi… he’s getting more and more obsessed with me, and you know where this always end”
Mitchell sighs.
“Let’s have a drink first, then we’ll talk about it”
“Yeah”
Rotimi agreed to it and took a sip of the drink.
“Gosh, where did you buy this from?”
“The store downstairs!”
Mitchell replied with surprise to the fact that Rotimi had no idea it was there.
“Stop shitting me”
She said, taking another gulp.
“I’m not shitting you bro, the coffee shop downstairs”
“No bro!”
Swallows the drink with some words in her mouth.
“Have you tasted this?”
“I mean you’re not letting me with all these your questions”
Mitchell said giggling.
“No! No!! No! You have to taste this bro, can I see what flavor yours is?”
“Sure!”
Mitchell said smiling to the fact that Rotimi was enjoying it, but the next step is not what she expected.
“Banana? Goodness”
Rotimi affirms, taking a gulp in and another.
“Hey bro!”
Mitchell said stretching herself to get back her drink from Rotimi”
Licking her lips from the one that was round it.
“We really should go downstairs and get more”
“Really?”
Mitchell asked, being happy at the same time.
“Yeah….”
Rotimi said as she shakes off the empty coffee contains into her mouth
“Let’s go”
Rotimi said as she dragged Mitchell by her collar as they laughed and raced downstairs.
They barged into the coffee shop and pants at the cabinet where the coffee orders are placed.
“Two chocolate creamed coffee please!”
She said while trying to normalize her breath, Mitchell on the other hand had to find a place suitable for her for resting. Rotimi turns around and looks at Mitchell and smiles and heads to go and sit with her. She relaxes her back on the chair, still looking at Mitchell
“If we become rivals, I’ll miss all these moments”
Mitchell said, turning her face slowly from the window to look at her.
“Then we don’t have to be one, we don’t have to be rivals either”
“Thank you!”
Rotimi said to the Waitress who brought the coffee to her and then she had the first sip and she swapped her mood.
“after seeing Oluwaseyi today, it was like though I was looking at myself when in flesh, after my dad left, that was exactly how I was, I shut down myself, my world chances, and my heart grew in grieve every day, deep wounds every day and that’s how I feel, but now it’s different”
Rotimi said, looking at Mitchell.
“That was not the life I wanted, I know better now. This happiness I feel here, this joy, this is what I want. How do I talk to Oluwaseyi? How do I make him see that, no dead ever came back?”
Rotimi sighs.
Mitchell touches her hands and rubs it gently.
“Then let’s make a new plan of how we can help him”
“How do we even do that?”
Rotimi asks in a generous mind, drops the coffee to pay more attention to Mitchell.
“What of you main Rival”
“You mean Oluwaseun? I think I’m okay, I’m not interested  in him again, taking him and his folks out of earth was the best gift I could give to humanity, sooner or later, they will remember the good of what I did, but Sam!, Sam will have to taste a bit of what it really means to lose it all”
“What are you going to do about it, what’s the plan? “
“On the night of the release of the first kill, he shall be my target, Femi too shall have a bite on what it actually means to be forsaken, my mother, I forgive her. Seun has really been a torment to her, she’s really in a horrible state, I pity her though, but she brought this upon herself”
“Then very well then…..”
Mitchell said as she finally took a taste of what the coffee tasted like.
“What!”
Mitchell screamed.
“What’s with the scream? What happened?”
“I now understand why you ran out of control, this is mad! Geez!”
Mitchell said taking another sip, then a gulp
“Welcome to the initiated world”
Rotimi said, raising the can of the coffee.
“Yes! To the initiated world of coffee”
“Must you be unserious?”
Rotimi said as they jammed their cans together and they laughed and began to drink. They had a good time together.
The day was not getting any brighter, as the sun seemed to be setting sooner than they had expected.
“I really wish I could stay longer”
Mitchell said, leaning forward on Rotimi’s shoulder.
“We’ll always meet in the day, don’t break the rules yet or we won’t be honored when we becoming aging spirits”
“You know I never had a female friend after my sister died, facing the fact that I’d always take the blame was something I didn’t like and I wasn’t able to tolerate”
“Same with me, Oluwaseyi was the only friend I had, I recall when they took me for some brand fashion school stuff, I agreed on it because of Seyi not because I actually wanted to go. I saw how bad he had gone through for my sake already”
“Well that was considerate enough”
“Indeed!”
Then they held hands and departed.
#
“What did we say about Rotimi?”
Pins her to the ground with his left hands while his right has a dagger attached to it.
“Please don’t kill me, please”
“People can always run, but hiding is never, never possible”
Her pleas are not able to save her.
“You dare not stab the one that bore your crimes, you mannerless pig”
He turned around to see the figure that dared challenge him”
“What are you?”
“I am your rival Rotimi”
She said removing the hoodie, and looked straight into his eyes, then he found out that she was truly Rotimi.
“You know how much I longed to see this day”
Chief Oluwaseun said, dragging Mrs Ayo to himself.
“One more word from you, this goes straight inside her.”
Looks at Rotimi who looks back at him.
“You have no idea, you definitely have no idea how long I have waited to kill this woman right before you.  I wonder how dumb they can be, not to understand my motive or moves, but you Rotimi has been a thorn under my feet.”
He said as he cut Mrs Ayo’s arm.
Groans in pain, Rotimi quickly turns and looks at her mother who was bleeding profusely.
“What did you just do?”
Rotimi said in anger, summing up her fist and tapping her feet.
Laughs.
“What are you going to do about it?”
Looking at Rotimi.
“Exactly what I thought, nothing”
He said as he was about stabbing her again, but Rotimi won’t let it happen. She hit him hard and the dagger fell off his hand. She took it and hid her mother behind her, the poor woman was in severe pain.
“Why do you care? No, sincerely , why do you care?”
He said, trying to get back on his feet.
“Because she’s my mother”
Chief Oluwaseun laughs at Rotimi's response.
“You lie Rotimi! You lie! What happened the night of your birth??”
Chief Oluwaseun said with a smirk on his face.
“Wha—wha—what nonsense are you talking about?”
Mrs Ayo said stammering
Rotimi had mastered Chief Oluwaseun's way of getting on her soft spot, but how does she now get to convince him that that version is seriously outdated.
“Can we go to the good part now?”
Rotimi said out of boredom, Chief Oluwaseun, I bet did not see it coming.
Rotimi pushes her mother to a safe spot while she and Chief Oluwaseun wrestled against flesh and blood.
Jerks up to reality.
“Rotimi! She calls out as Abeni rushes in.
“Mum, are you okay!?”
Look at the woman who tried to regain her strength, after such a horrible dream.
“Are you sure you don’t want to go to the hospital?”
“No! No! No I’m fine”
“Okay! But I find it disturbing these days ma! “
Looks at Abeni and smiles.
“It’s okay, it’s just some stupid dream okay! I’ll be fine, trust me!”
“Okay mum I believe you,”
Abeni said with a smile on her face.
“Erm… mummy, by the way, I have made food for Ola and Tunde. Ola has eaten but Tunde is stressing me out!”
“Ah! You did that already?”
“Yes!”
“Thank you so much, Oluwa ooo. Thank you. Where is your husband?”
“He left earlier to attend to something at work”
“Oh okay!”
Mrs Ayo said happy, looking around.
“Erm... okay! Let’s head to the kitchen okay!”
“No problem ma!”
Mrs Ayo slides down her bed, though confused about the dream, but was happy to decree that Abeni was there to help her out with the most stressful thing there is.
Washing plates.
“So when do you plan on giving me grandchildren”
Mrs Ayo bluntly said.
“Ma!?”
Abeni said, raising one eyebrow and tilting her ear to the direction Mrs Ayo stood.
Laughs.
“You heard me well”
Mrs Ayo said.
“Ola and Tunde are good enough grandchildren, I’ll take care of them myself, and I’ll take the burden”
Abeni said with a tap on her shoulder and turned around to her cooking.
Mrs Ayo smiles and continues with the dishes.
Aside from the cruel joke Mrs Ayo thinks Abeni was putting up, Abeni has no intention of giving birth or even having children, due to her insecurities. Femi is fine with it and she’s okay, if you’re finding that hard, sorry but you will have to deal with it.
Abeni said in her mind as she smiled and returned to the native soup she was cooking.
“Mmmmmm, ma! This tastes good, so good!”
Abeni praised, giving Mrs Ayo a taste too.
“Femi would really love this, you made it exactly the way he likes it”
“He’s my husband of course!”
“Of course”
They both laughed, putting hands together, so as to finish on time.

“How did it go? Are you not going to tell me how your first torment night was?”
Mitchell asked Rotimi.
Rotimi looks at her and sinks her own head, while letting herself drown in the cushion.
“I’ll really love to know how my mother is doing”
“You can always go see her, you know!”
Mitchell said, trying to cheer her.
“You know I’m not sad right!”
“Yeah... I’m aware, so what’s the issue instead?”
“Chief Oluwaseun went after my mother for his first torment”
“What!”
Mitchell said, slightly pissed.
“Why? After making her life hell?”
“I know not either, he tried to hack into my soft spot, I was advanced I didn’t know how that happened but I’m glad it did”
“What did he say this time?”
“That there is a secret to my birth night, and to why my father pretended like he cares about me and to why I was given a special treatment”
Rotimi said, worriedly.
“Do you believe what he said?”
“Sincerely I don’t know, I don’t even know”
Mitchell sinks herself too on the same cushion Rotimi sat.
“So what’s the plan?”
“I’m blank Mitchell I’m just so blank. A revenge system would be nice, but I don’t have any idea of his relative that is not my relative too.”
“He must have had a wife”
“Are you speaking concerning Chief Oluwaseun? No! I doubt that man? I doubt”
“Well, you can’t be too sure, okay! If not a wife, a mistress, for crying out loud, he’s a chief”
Mitchell said looking at Rotimi who was indeed so sure that Chief Oluwaseun had nothing to do with a woman. Then he thought about her when she was younger, her mother, how clean would he be not to have an affair with other women.
Looks at Mitchell.
“Indeed, he’s a chief”
“Good, now that’s the spirit. Good enough this place has a call connection with blood and I bet you he has one a lot of mess, you could take a revenge set plan on as many as you have found”
“Indeed, thank you so much Mitchell”
“You’re welcome!”
Mitchell said, wearing a smile on her face.
“And also I came up with a plan to keep Oluwaseyi less obsessive about you”
  Mitchell said.
“Share would you?”
“Of course! I mean why not”
They both laughed.
“okay this is the plan, first were going to keep him away from scenes that may remind him of you, that is majority of these scenes are couple scenes or even best friends scenes”
“Okay! this is getting a bit creepy!”
“Okay! keep him away from his colleagues that may want to pity him more than he pity’s himself”
“Wait! Why?”
“Because they will always say, Ah! If Rotimi was here”
“Oh true”
Rotimi agreed.
“Okay… after he has been able to abstain from these things then! you will lessen his obsession!”
“It hurts though!”
“I know, but you can’t help, but let’s do our best for him okay! He really is doing terribly badly!”
Mitchell said reminding Rotimi. So she bought the idea and they set out to carry out their new plan, both on Oluwaseyi and Chief Oluwaseun.
Rotimi began her research on the people Chief Oluwaseun might have known. And it appeared to her he wasn’t therefore as innocent as she would gullibly think.
“What a whore!”
She said scrolling down the list of Girls and women he must have damaged, some were dead some were grown, some were old.
She takes her time to go through the books about him. It appeared that these books kept good and close records on everything you have used your life to do on earth. The good death was only given access to the books of the bad death and vice versa.
No book was allowed to leave the libraries.
Rotimi got as much information as she could and set out her plan target. Chief Oluwaseun was going down this she could assure herself.
They came out and met themselves and then back to a field where they could have enough space and time to go over the plotted scheme.
“All these wide readings? Rotimi geez!”
“It's worth it!”
They both laughed as Mitchell went through the piece together.
“Do you know what else I found out?”
“What!?”
“One can be an aging spirit voluntarily”
“Really!”
“Yes, it’s like an exchange, you give out yourself for the life of the other person!”
“Wait! I hope you’re not thinking what I’m thinking”
“If that’s all I have to give to Rotimi then no problem”
“That’s a very cruel thing to do!”
“Do I sense jealousy in that speech?”
“I am not Gay!”
“I didn’t say that either!”
They both laughed and returned to their plan.
#
Taps his table with his finger, looking at his screen for the next good thing to write on, looks at the ceiling. Then takes what came to his mind and types it down. Prints the papers and takes a sample to Sir Charles’ office.
Knocks.
“Do come in”
Oluwaseyi opens the door and goes inside. Sir Charles looked at how slim Oluwaseyi was becoming, he felt very bad for him.
“Have a seat”
“Thank you sir Charles”
Seyi said handing over the file to him, but Sir Charles kept his gaze on him.
“Sir! Sir Charles!”
“Seyi! Seyi, is the salary not enough?”
“Why sir?”
“You need to block this conversation Rotimi!”
“Let’s listen to it”
“Really?”
“I bet you will not like the end”
“Look at how slim you’re becoming Seyi”
“Oh that sir, don’t let it bother you sir, I’m just ill, I’ll treat it soon”
“Seyi, are you sure!?”
“I’m very much fine, I’m Fine”
Sir Charles Sighs.
“Very well then, if you say so, I will still top up your salary, so you treat yourself well okay!”
“Thank you Sir!”
“Well, I guess it ended well”
Rotimi said, looking at Mitchell.
“Suit yourself”
Rotimi smiles and they head back to their rooms.
Rotimi just smiles in her mind knowing of how successful this new plan of theirs is going to work out
“Please be fine Seyi!”
She whispered.
