Triangle HQ. Annora. Sitting on a throne-like chair. Smiling. “Hello, darling,” she said, looking straight at the camera. “I figured you’d dig too deep. So I left a surprise.” Scarlet’s blood turned to ice. Behind Annora stood a figure. Bound. Bloodied. Jasper. Scarlet’s childhood friend. Her last link to the life she lost. “Bring me the chip, Seina,” Annora purred. “Or he dies.” The screen went black. Scarlet fell to her knees. Everything was caving in. Trust. Love. Family. Nothing was safe. Nothing was real. Kaydence kneeled beside her. “I didn’t know they’d do this.” “Do you even know who you are anymore?” He didn’t answer. Because he didn’t. Scarlet wiped her tears, standing tall. “We’re getting Jasper back.” He nodded. “Together.” She turned to him, cold. “No. I’m getting him back.” “You can’t go in alone—” “I’ve been alone since the day you signed that paper.” Then she walked out. And Kaydence was left behind… in the ruins of the truth he’d tried so hard to bury. TRIANGLE HQ – Midnight The tower rose like a blade against the stormy sky — black, gleaming, surrounded by armed guards and invisible fences. But Scarlet Veil didn’t come to sneak in. She came to make a statement. Dressed in matte black combat gear, dual blades strapped to her back, a hidden pistol holstered at her hip, and her hair tied in a low braid like her mother used to wear it. Every step echoed with fury. Every breath was war. Security spotted her by the east entrance. Too slow. She threw a blade through the first one’s eye. Snapped the second’s neck with a twist. By the time the alarm blared, she was already inside. Control Room – Floor 12 Annora sipped champagne as she watched the feed. “She came alone,” her second-in-command whispered. “Of course she did,” Annora replied, eyes never leaving the screen. “She always was dramatic.” “Do we engage?” Annora smiled. “No. Let her climb. I want her breathless when I break her.” Scarlet – Floor by Floor Floor 3 – Fire. Floor 5 – Gas. Floor 8 – A trap door and three knife-wielding guards. She burned. She bled. She clawed. But nothing stopped her. Nothing could. Because this wasn’t a rescue. This was a reckoning. Holding Cells – Floor 13 She reached it just as the last of her ammo ran dry. Her knuckles were bleeding. Her ribs cracked. But she was still standing. Jasper lay in a corner, barely conscious. “Scarlet?” he croaked. She dropped beside him, cutting his restraints. “I’m getting you out.” He smiled weakly. “Still the knight, huh?” She smirked, tears in her eyes. “Always.” But as she lifted him — the door slammed shut behind her. The Throne Room – Floor 14 Annora stood there, elegant in silk. “Bravo,” she said. “I’m genuinely impressed.” Scarlet’s blade gleamed. Annora’s guards stepped forward. “You sure you want an audience for this?” Scarlet asked coldly. Annora waved them off. “Let her have her moment.” They circled each other — like lions. “You took everything from me,” Scarlet spat. Annora raised a brow. “And yet you still loved him.” “Not anymore.” Annora smirked. “You should.” Scarlet frowned. “What—?” “She’s lying,” a voice said behind them. Kaydence. Bleeding. Bruised. But alive. Annora hissed. “You were supposed to stay gone.” He looked at Scarlet, eyes raw. “She forged my signature. But she didn’t act alone.” Scarlet stared at them both. “Who else?” Annora laughed — but it was bitter. Unhinged. “You still don’t get it, do you?” She tapped her chest. “It wasn’t about you. It was never about love.” Scarlet’s blood went cold. “What do you mean?” Annora stepped closer. “It was about bloodlines. About who your father really was.” “What?” Annora’s smile was savage. “You were never just a Veil, Scarlet. Your real father... was the man who started the Triangle. ” Boom. The air left the room. Scarlet staggered back. “No…”Annora whispered, “Welcome home, princess.” Throne Room –TRIANGLE HQ Silence. For once, even Scarlet had no words. Her blade trembled in her hand, and the weight of truth was heavier than any weapon she’d ever held. “Your real father… started the Circle.” “Welcome home, princess.” She looked at Kaydence, his jaw locked. He’d known. He’d known. “You should’ve told me,” she whispered. “I was going to,” he said, breathing hard. “But how do you tell the woman you love that her father built the empire she’s trying to burn?” Annora stepped down from the platform, eyes full of venom and pride. “He didn’t just build it, Seina. He owned it. Commanded it. He was feared.” Scarlet blinked fast, trying to breathe. “Then why did he let us die?” Annora laughed bitterly. “He didn’t. He was killed first. That’s what they never told you.” Her words cut deeper than any knife. Scarlet’s real father hadn’t abandoned her. He’d been betrayed. Just like her. Just like always. “Take the throne,” Annora said, voice syrupy. “You have the blood. The name. The power.” Kaydence stepped forward. “You don’t have to be them. You don’t have to become her.” Scarlet’s mind split into two. Kill them all and take the crown. Or burn the throne and walk away. Her heart thundered. Her hands ached. And for one terrifying moment… she didn’t know what she wanted. But Jasper groaned behind her. And she remembered. Why she started this. What they stole. Her family. Her childhood. Her identity. Scarlet walked up to the throne. Ran a hand along the armrest. Then looked back at them — at Kaydence, at Annora. And smiled. Not soft. Sharp. “I’ll take it.” Annora grinned. Kaydence looked like he’d been punched in the chest. “But only to destroy it.” Annora’s smile dropped. “What?” Scarlet turned, blade in hand, and plunged it into the throne’s control core. Sparks flew. Alarms screamed. Security lockdown deactivated. Scarlet turned back to them, blood in her teeth. “I’m not like either of you.” “You’ll regret this,” Annora whispered. “I already do,” Scarlet said, and shot her in the leg. Annora collapsed. Kaydence ran to Jasper. Scarlet stood over the burning throne. One Week Later – Safehouse, Unknown Location The Triangle was gone. The building crumbled. The files deleted. The blood washed off her hands. But the scars? Still raw. Kaydence poured her tea. She stared at him. “You’re still here.” “I will be. If you’ll let me.” She didn’t speak for a long time. Then— “You’ll sleep on the couch.” He smiled softly. “Fair enough.” Later That Night Scarlet stared out the window. The rain whispered secrets only she understood. She was no one’s daughter anymore. She was no princess. No pawn. Just Scarlet Veil. And for the first time in her life…That was enough. 3 Months Later – Rural Greece Peace isn’t what Scarlet expected it to be. She doesn’t sleep much. She trains. Hard. Punches sandbags like they’re wearing Annora’s face. Keeps knives under her pillow and a Glock in her sock drawer. Jasper’s arm has healed, but his soul? Still shredded. Kaydence keeps his distance. Cooking meals she doesn’t eat. Leaving books she doesn’t read. Watching her from across rooms like she’s a dream he’s scared to touch. But he stays. Because even broken things deserve a chance to heal. One Rainy Morning Kaydence knocks on her door. She opens it — hair a mess, tank top stained with sweat, gun tucked in her waistband. He holds up a small envelope. No return address. No stamp. Just her fake name: Seina Sallow. She grabs it fast, eyes narrowing. Inside: one photo. Of a child. Big, violet eyes. A birthmark shaped like a crescent moon. And the words: “Meet your half-brother. Or maybe… your enemy.” Scarlet stumbles back. “What the hell is this?” Kaydence’s face goes pale. “That’s… not your brother.” “Then who is he?” He doesn’t answer. His silence is thunder. Scarlet grabs him by the collar. “Who. Is. He.” He closes his eyes. “His name is Miro. And… he might be my son.” Flashback – 5 Years Ago Kaydence. Younger. Harsher. Angrier. And Annora. Twisted. Alluring. Dangerous. A deal gone wrong. A night full of blood and betrayal. They were lovers. Enemies. Monsters wrapped in human skin. And one night… they didn’t use protection. Kaydence always believed Annora faked the pregnancy later to keep him under her thumb. But this photo? This kid? Could be real. Present Day Scarlet backs away from him like he’s contagious. “You lied.” “I didn’t know!” he snaps, pain raw in his voice. Jasper walks in. Sees the photo. Freezes. “I’ve seen that kid,” he says quietly. “In Istanbul. The triangle’s new puppet. They’re raising him.” Scarlet turns to Kaydence, eyes sharp as daggers. “Did you hear that?” Kaydence nods slowly. “They have him.” “They’re using him.” She narrows her eyes. “Then we go get him.” Kaydence shakes his head. “If he is mine—” Scarlet interrupts, ice in her voice. “He’s not yours.” He looks broken. She doesn’t flinch. That Night Scarlet watches the child’s photo under candlelight. He looks… innocent. But blood like hers, like Kaydence’s, like Annora’s? There’s no such thing as innocent. She whispers: “If they’re raising you to replace me… I’ll either save you. Or I’ll put you down.”
