The biggest mistake of his life

"You told me that I needed to pack my things," She said slowly to him as she looked at him with sad eyes again. He felt that he wanted to comfort her, but he didn't move or say anything.
"I did," He said softly, but he wasn't sure if he did the right thing anymore. She nodded at his words again.
"My sister is coming to take me away?" She asked him softly. He nodded slowly again.
"Yes, she is," He promised. He saw that she nodded again, but she looked sad again. He wanted her to smile and be happy, but he didn't know how to make that happen now.
"When is she coming?" She asked again slowly.
"She's already on the way," He said softly again. She nodded again and looked away from him again.
"Okay... thank you," She said again slowly. He watched as she left the room again with her things and then he sat in his chair again.
He didn't know anymore what was going on. He had thought that it was best for her, but now he thought that he made a mistake.
He didn't know how he could undo it now. He felt guilt now that he never felt before. He wanted to run after her and tell her that everything would be fine, but he knew he couldn't.
He had made his decision and now he needed to stand by it.
He sat again in his chair as the door closed and he knew now that he made the biggest mistake of his life. He sighed again and then waited for someone to tell him that she was gone. It didn't take long before his man came back to him.
"She's gone now, sir," His guard said to him. Armand nodded and thanked him. Then he felt guilt again that he sent her away.
He hadn't expected that it would feel like this and now he didn't know anymore if he could be without her.
He sighed again as he thought about her. He thought about what he would do now, but he didn't have any idea. He was sure that everything would be fine without her, but now he didn't think so anymore.
He got up from his chair and started walking around his office. He needed to think about what he was going to do now.
He couldn't just let her go, he thought, and he needed to do something. He was her husband and he needed to make her his again.
He kept walking around and then heard someone coming towards him again.
He stopped walking as he saw his guard standing in the doorway.
"What is it now?" He asked annoyed at his guard again. The man looked scared again as he spoke.
"I'm sorry for interrupting you," The man started speaking again slowly. Armand sighed at him and then nodded slowly. He needed to speak with his guard.
"What is it that you need to tell me?" He asked the man again. The man swallowed slowly and then answered his question again.
"It's just that you didn't do the right thing with your wife," He said slowly, but Armand didn't react at his words. He didn't tell him anything, but just listened.
"Are you sure, sir?" His guard asked again. Armand nodded at him slowly.
"Yes, I am," He said softly. The man shook his head slowly and then answered again.
"No, sir. You shouldn't have done it," He repeated again. Armand wanted to tell him to shut up, but he stopped himself from saying anything. He needed his guards now more than ever and so he couldn't make them angry.
"Why?" He asked slowly and looked at him.
"Well, sir..." The man started speaking slowly again, but Armand felt impatient now.
"What?" He asked again impatiently as he looked at him. His guard swallowed slowly as he started speaking again.
"Because your wife is a very good woman," He started saying slowly again. Armand stopped himself from laughing at his guard's words.
How could he know if his wife was a good woman or not? He didn't understand anything, he thought.
"How would you know that?" He asked weakly again. The man shrugged at him slowly, but then looked down again.
"Well... she's very good to all of us guards," His guard told him softly. Armand looked at him confused again.
"What do you mean?" He said slowly as he tried to understand his guard's words again. The man sighed slowly again and then spoke again.
"She talked to us and she was very nice," The man tried to explain to him slowly. Armand nodded slowly, but he didn't speak again.
"And?" He said slowly again as he looked at his guard.
"And she was also very sad," His guard spoke again slowly.
"What do you mean by that?" Armand asked again softly. His guard sighed again slowly.
"Well, sir... she said that she loved you," His guard said slowly and then looked down on the floor again. Armand didn't know what to say to him, but then he understood his words.
"What did she say about that?" He asked his guard slowly again. He didn't want to hear it, but still, he wanted to know what she had said about him.
"Not much, sir," His guard answered again softly and then looked up again. Armand sighed slowly again, but then his guard spoke again.
"But she also said that you weren't a bad man," His guard added slowly. Armand thought for a second about her words, but he didn't understand them.
"What does that mean?" He asked slowly again as he frowned at his guard. His guard shook his head slowly again.
"I don't know, sir. It's just what she said," His guard answered again slowly and then looked away again. Armand thought again for a second as he listened to his guard's words, but then he knew what he needed to do.
He needed to get her back now, he thought to himself again. He couldn't let her be without him now that he knew how she felt about him.
