He stood there, staring ahead. The tears began to roll down his cheeks. A few more tears dripped down his face. He wiped them off quickly, trying to regain his composure.
It wasn't long before someone tapped him on the shoulder. When he turned around, Alex saw his partner. Alex was still wearing his clothes from yesterday, having showered already. He smiled, and Alex returned it, then hugged him, which was welcomed, Walex pulled away “Are you okay?"
"I'm fine now."
Alex put his hand on Alex's shoulder, "You look awful, you should get some rest. Come on, let's go home"
Home is where Alex feels most comfortable, so they went back to Alex's car. Once they drove off, he broke the silence, "Do you want to talk about it?"
Alex shrugged, his face was expressionless as usual, "Nope."
They both knew that talking about Maggie wouldn't help either of them. If anything, it would make things worse. So they just drove. In silence. Neither of them spoke until they arrived at the. Alex got out and opened the door for Wales.
"Goodnight, Alex,” Walex called as he went up the stairs. Alex closed the door and sat down on the couch, his mind filled with thoughts.
At the city's Multibillionaire skyscraper, Jake stood with his friend Judas with a glass of scotch in his hand.
'I hope Maggie is ok, Judas and Ariane mustn't know, I should get away to check on Maggie at the hospital' Jake thought to himself, he looked at Judas who was holding onto the bar. "Come on, Judas! Don't drink that!"
Jake took the glass from Judas, "Here, I'll take it upstairs" Judas nodded and watched as Jake walked towards the elevator, he could hear the footsteps of Jake's shoes. Judas sighed, taking another sip of his drink. 'This night has been awful!'
He sat down and drank his scotch. He heard someone approaching. Before he could turn around, he was grabbed roughly by the neck. He tried pulling away, but it was useless.
There was only one person who could've done this, "Why Judas, I was told you had a call with her last night?"
Judas squirmed in his grip, trying to pry the grip off of him, "Let go of me!"
"Why are you trying to kill Maggie?" He said, tightening the grip slightly. Judas whimpered in pain. He couldn't breathe.
Jake finally managed to loosen his grip, "You thought you could use and dump Ariadne, I couldn't watch my sister in grief. Maggie called yesterday after we had a drink, saying she's pregnant. ."
“Pregnant?” he questioned, “Maggie has my child in her womb” Jake couldn't believe he gonna be a father soon.
Jake looked up to see Ariadne watching her with tears in her eyes, she heard and Watched everything.
“You have a wife outside, who is pregnant for you?” Ariadne asked.
“The truth Ariadne, I never Loved you. Maggie is the one I love” Jake admitted “Am going to meet her right now, you and I are done Ariadne” Jake said, entering the elevator to leave the penthouse, he had no reason to stay.
“You are so stupid Jake!” Ariadne yelled after him. He ignored her as the doors closed and the lift moved downwards.
When the doors opened, Jake rushed out and ran down the hall,
“I swear if anything happens to Maggie and my child, Judas, you are dead” Jake growled under his breath.
“Beavis?” a young girl who appeared to be, Aliyah, called unto him with tears in her eyes. “I hope nothing will happen to mother”
, Beavis thought as he looked over his shoulder at the girl with the same worry. He sighed and walked up next to her before gently placing his hand on her shoulder and turning her around to look at him. He then spoke softly so only she could hear.
“You don’t have to worry about that Aliyah, I promise everything will be alright”, he said reassuringly, giving her a reassuring smile. She looked up and nodded slightly before grabbing his hand tightly, trying to reassure herself more than anything else. “Nothing will happen to mother”
Buggy joined them, holding Jojo along with him.
“I’ll protect you, okay?” Beavis said as he looked into her big brown eyes.
Aliyah nodded and gave her big brother another quick hug before letting go of his hand. “Alright, you two are going to stay here right now while I get some help,” he said sternly.
“Yes, I'll look after them Beavis”, Buggy replied with respect before looking back at Jojo and Aliyah.
Beavis took his last stare, then started to head out of the hospital still worried and in tears. He collided with a stranger in a black hoody but quickly apologized before continuing on his way.
He didn't know where exactly he was going but it didn't matter, he knew what he had to do.
Once he got to the church, he squatted on the alter “You call yourself the Almighty
, God?” he asked. The figure sitting there didn't react or reply. “Well, you can call yourself whatever you want, just answer me this one time, Why are you punishing me? you take away everything I ever loved from me, I refused to talk. You made me watch as my family died,” Beavis yelled at the figure, feeling the anger building inside him.
Still no response.
The figure remained unmoving, seemingly ignoring Beavis completely. Beavis huffed “Do you even care? I’ve done nothing wrong! Do you think you can just kill me and pretend like I never existed? Is it worth it if I just die for your sake?!” Beavis screamed. Still no response. The figure didn't even move, not even when Beavis ran out of air and began to pant heavily.
“If you’re planning to kill me, let’s get this over with already”, Beavis muttered. “Come and get me, coward. I am ready to die”. Still nothing. The figure just continued to sit there silently.
A chill crept up Beavis’ spine as he felt the hairs stand up on his neck. ‘There is something wrong’ he thought.
Suddenly, the figure rose from the alter, taking off its hoodie. A tall man stood in front of him, he wasn't wearing a mask.
“Who are you?!” Beavis yelled at the man.
No response.
Just as suddenly as he had risen, the figure disappeared into thin air, leaving Beavis alone on the alter.
Beavis’ hands flew to his mouth as he gasped. “What the hell just happened!?” he shouted. Suddenly, he saw an angelic being flying toward him.
“Beavis! Are you alright?!” the angel exclaimed as he landed in front of Beavis.
“Wha… who were you? What did you do to me?” Beavis questioned, pointing at the now invisible man, still staring wide-eyed at the empty spot where he had been standing just moments earlier.
“I am Anaelle. My name means ‘the angel of fate' it's not my title because I'm not an angel.”
Beavis’ body went rigid and he looked down at his feet, processing all that had happened in the past few minutes.
Anaelle looked down at Beavis sympathetically before speaking again.
“Here is the truth, Beavis...you were destined to have died at the accident with your family”
Anaelle made a giant screen appear before Beavis as he watched the floating screen which showed a vehicle traveling down the highway, crashing. He heard someone screaming his name before being pulled out of the wreckage by paramedics. He watched as the ambulance sped away with both parents and their children dying at the scene.
“So many people died on that road that day. It was an accident Beavis. The people who caused that tragedy died on that day. You were given another chance Beavis. You were allowed to save those lives and you chose to ignore it. You chose to live”
Beavis felt hot tears streaming down his face, as he watched the video replay itself.
He looked back at Anaelle, seeing him watching him sadly.
“How can I believe you? How can you be telling me these things?” Beavis asked quietly, tears still falling.
“It doesn't have to be hard to believe me. I'm not your enemy Beavis. I never was”, Anaelle replied. He looked directly at Beavis, causing him to look at him, confused.
“But... why tell me this now? If you're just going to kill me anyway.. why bother?” Beavis asked.
Anaelle frowned “Because, Beavis...I want you to live. I want you to continue living. That is why I'm telling you this. Mrs. Age and some other few people you've met are in great danger, this is your destiny Beavis, Unite everyone and save them all from dying”.
“Then what happens after I succeed in saving the people you mentioned?”
Beavis asked.
“A place where there is death is to be replaced by another death,” Anaelle said, handing a ring to Beavis. “This is the ring of Fate”
“Why would you give me this?”
“Because it has power, Beavis. Once you wear it, you will be able to control and see anyone's face, but it can't work for you”
“How does it work?”
“By wearing it, your thoughts”
“Okay...” Beavis replied nervously. He took the ring from Anaelle.
“Put the ring on your finger”
He slipped the ring onto his left middle finger, closing his hand.

At Jake's skyscraper, Alex rushed in with full rage with a revolver. Then he entered the elevator and pressed the button for the top floor.
When the doors opened, Alex turned towards Jake's office and knocked loudly. No response. When he tried the door handle, it was locked. After checking the cameras, he searched for any sign of Jake being there. Nothing. He then noticed Jake's personal phone laying on the desk and picked it up, scrolling through it. He found that Jake was talking to someone named "Bill". His brow furrowed in confusion. Was Bill his secretary? But how could his secretary be calling Jake, when Jake was not in his office? Did Bill somehow contact Jake without Jake knowing? And if that's true, who was the man on the phone with Jake? Maybe he should wait until Jake comes out. Maybe he should wait until Jake comes out to find out. After contemplating this for a minute, Alex put Jake's phone down and exited his office. He walked out to Jake's private elevator and pressed the button to call for it, once it arrived, he stepped into it and began to ride to the top floor. When the doors opened, he stepped out and headed straight for Jake's office. He grabbed the door handle and pulled it open the door.
Inside, he saw Jake staring at him.
“You bastard! you killed my sister”, Alex yelled as he pointed the revolver at Jake.
“If I killed Maggie, I wouldn't have the gut to be here...I love your sister, she is a good woman. She saved me when I needed her. She was always very nice and kind,” Jake said calmly.
“Then why did you kill her?” Alex yelled angrily.
“I didn't!”
“First, my parents, and now you took my sister's life also,” Alex said throwing aside his revolver, as he unbutton his shirt for a fight.
“Alex, listen to me first before you start attacking” Jake pleaded.
“I don't want to hear anything you have to say” Alex shouted, glaring at Jake.
who throws a punch directly to Jake's jaw, hitting him squarely on his jawline, sending him staggering backward.
As they both fought, Alex kept throwing punches to Jake's chin repeatedly, trying desperately to land a hit.
Jake held his cheek, his eyes filled with shock. Alex then kicked him right in his ribs, making him double over. Jake tried grabbing his chest, holding his side.
“Alex stop!” Jake yelled as Alex came forward and kicked him in his stomach. He fell backward and rolled on the ground a few times before stopping.
Alex stared at him coldly “Now listen, you son of a bitch,” Alex said as he slowly approached him with every step. “Only one of us will leave here alive”
Jake struggled to get up as Alex kept coming closer. Just as Alex was about to kick Jake in the stomach once more, he managed to push himself backward, putting enough distance between them. As Alex tried to reach for his gun, he got a hold of the handle of it and turned to point the barrel at Alex.
“I won't hesitate to use this”.
“You are mistaken, Jake. You won't be using this anytime soon. I'm not going to let you kill me” Alex responded, pulling the trigger.
As soon as he fired, however, nothing happened. Alex looked down and saw the bullet hadn't gone anywhere near Jake.
“Well well well, well well. Looks like I underestimated you, didn't I?” Jake laughed.
“Oh really? So what now? Do we dance like fools on our knees while I beat the shit outta you?” Alex asked, getting increasingly frustrated.
“That wouldn't be much fun, would it? But I think I know how you can make it even more exciting,” Jake smirked.
“What?”
“Let me show you”
The two stared each other down for a few seconds, neither willing to make the first move.
