CHAPTER 15 ♡

One month later.....
As time passed, a month had gone by since Max and Hera moved into their new mansion. Their relationship grew stronger and more romantic, filled with beautiful moments that deepened their bond.
Every morning, they started their day with breakfast at the dining table, sharing stories about their plans. Hera found comfort in cooking, while Max enjoyed helping her in the kitchen as they prepared meals.
In the afternoons, they often took walks in the mansion's gardens, enjoying the beauty of nature around them. Max would hold Hera’s hand tightly as they chatted and laughed, savoring each moment together.
Their evenings were filled with various activities—watching movies in the entertainment room, playing board games, or simply talking while sipping wine on the terrace. Max frequently praised Hera's cooking, which became more creative with each dish she made.
Hera also felt more confident in her role as a wife. She began planning small surprises for Max, like setting up romantic evenings with simple decorations and special menus.
One night, after a delightful dinner, Hera prepared candles and flowers around the living room. When Max returned home, he was taken aback by the atmosphere Hera had created.
“Hera, this is amazing!” he exclaimed as he approached her.
They enjoyed the moment by sharing dreams and hopes, further strengthening their love. Hera felt lucky to have Max as her husband, and Max felt happy to have Hera in his life.
Each day became more meaningful, and both knew that their love would continue to grow over time, creating a beautiful story in the new life they had started together.
However, amid their happiness, Hera began to feel something strange. Over the past few weeks, she often felt nauseous, especially when she smelled Max's perfume. The scent she usually loved now made her uncomfortable.
At first, Hera thought it was just a minor issue—perhaps due to stress or fatigue. But as time went on, the nausea didn't subside. She began to worry but didn't want to disturb their happiness.
One night, while sitting on the sofa, Max noticed Hera’s pale face. “Honey, is something wrong? You look unwell,” he asked, concerned.
Hera looked down for a moment, hesitant. “I… I’ve been feeling a bit nauseous lately, especially when I smell your perfume.”
Max frowned. “Has it been persistent? Maybe you need to rest more. Should we go see a doctor, sweetheart?”
“Maybe. We don’t need to see a doctor; I’ll just try to rest,” Hera replied, trying to reassure him.
A few days later, seeing Hera’s condition not improving made Max even more worried.
“Let’s go to the doctor, okay, sweetheart?” Max asked with a worried expression.
“No, Max. I just feel a bit under the weather. I probably need to rest more,” she insisted, trying to convince him.
Max furrowed his brow, still unsure. “But this has been going on for quite a while. I’m worried,” he said, showing his concern.
Hera took a deep breath. “I think I just need some time. Maybe it’s also because of the scent of your perfume. I’ll be fine, really.”
Max nodded, though his worry lingered. “If that’s the case, I’ll try not to wear perfume for a while. But if you feel uncomfortable, we should see a doctor.”
Hera smiled, feeling relieved by Max's care. “Thank you, honey. I promise I’ll take better care of myself.”
After that, Hera tried to distract herself from the discomfort. She looked for ways to relieve her nausea, like inhaling the refreshing scents of ginger or mint.
Skip.....
After several days of battling her nausea and uncertainty, Hera finally felt she could no longer ignore these symptoms. Max, increasingly concerned, managed to convince her to see a doctor.
One morning, Max took a day off from work to accompany Hera. They sat in the car, the atmosphere tense yet hopeful. Max took Hera’s hand and squeezed it tightly. “I just want you to be okay. If something's wrong, we’ll face it together.”
Hera nodded, still a bit anxious. “I just hope it’s nothing serious,” she said, trying to calm herself.
Upon arriving at the clinic, they registered and waited in the waiting room. Hera felt her heart race when her name was called. With Max’s hand on her back, they walked into the examination room.
The friendly doctor greeted them and asked Hera to describe her symptoms. Hera began explaining the nausea that often arose, especially with certain scents.
The doctor listened attentively and started a physical examination. After a while, the doctor suggested Hera take a pregnancy test. They exchanged surprised glances at the suggestion.
Once the test was completed, they waited in the examination room, tension filling the air. Max held Hera’s hand tightly, providing support as they awaited the results.
When the doctor returned with a smile, all worries seemed to dissipate. “I have good news. Congratulations, you’re pregnant,” he said joyfully.
Hera was stunned, her mouth agape, unable to believe what she had just heard. Her feelings were a mix of joy, relief, and shock upon hearing the doctor’s announcement.
Max’s reaction was filled with happiness and disbelief. He froze for a moment, mouth open, unable to process the news.
After a few seconds, a broad smile spread across his face. “Is this real? We’re going to be parents?” he said, his voice trembling with emotion.
He immediately approached Hera, pulling her into a tight embrace. “This is amazing, sweetheart! I’m so happy!” Max whispered, feeling overwhelmed with joy.
After the embrace, Max stepped back slightly, looking at Hera with love and awe. “You know, this is a dream I’ve always wanted. We’re about to start a new adventure together.”
Max’s eyes sparkled, and he began talking about everything they wanted to do as parents. He envisioned a home filled with the laughter of children, cherishing the little moments they would create together.
“What if we start planning everything? Names, the nursery, everything!” he said eagerly.
Hera could only smile, touched by Max's happiness. She felt his love deepen and knew they would face all challenges together.
“Let’s take it one step at a time, honey,” Hera replied softly, and they both held hands, ready to embrace a future filled with love and hope.
