Chapter 6: The Battle of Engrasia: Dragon's Fall
The night was alive with chaos. Flames flickered through the trees, casting eerie shadows on the ground. The once-peaceful village of Engrasia was now a battleground. Dark Elves, clad in dark armor, clashed with the elves of Engrasia. Above them, a massive red dragon roared, its fiery breath lighting up the night sky and sending waves of destruction through the village. Levy, his heart pounding, fought with everything he had. He was determined to protect the villagers who had shown him such kindness. Amidst the clamor of battle, he saw the faces of the villagers—women, elders, and children—looking to him for protection. He knew he had to act fast. As Levy swung his wooden sword, he glanced around and saw Alkuhbar’s daughter, Ela, engaged in a fierce battle of her own. Ela was a striking figure, her long hair flowing behind her as she moved gracefully. Her eyes were focused and determined. She wielded wind magic with remarkable skill, creating powerful gusts that pushed back the Dark Elves. Levy watched in awe as Ela fought. She was a princess warrior of Engrasia, and her abilities were impressive. He noticed that she was also using high-level healing magic, mending wounds and providing support to her fellow fighters. "She’s incredible," Levy thought, admiring her strength. "But she needs help. I can’t just stand by." Suddenly, a surge of Dark Elves attacked Ela. Levy saw their leader, Yuan, a menacing figure with dark, piercing eyes and a commanding presence. Yuan was a formidable opponent, and his dark magic was wreaking havoc on the village. Ela faced him bravely, but it was clear that she was struggling against his power. Levy made his way through the chaos, fending off attackers with swift, precise strikes. He fought his way towards Ela, determined to help her. As he approached, he saw Yuan preparing to strike Ela with a devastating spell. "No, you don’t!" Levy shouted, charging at Yuan. “Leave her alone!” Yuan turned, his eyes narrowing as he saw Levy approaching. “You dare to challenge me, human? You are outmatched.” Levy didn’t hesitate. He swung his wooden sword with all his strength, clashing with Yuan’s dark magic. The force of the impact sent shockwaves through the air. Yuan smirked, clearly amused by Levy’s efforts. “Is that the best you can do?” Yuan taunted, unleashing a wave of dark energy. Levy gritted his teeth and dodged the attack. “I’m just getting started!” Ela, noticing Levy’s struggle, called out to him. “Be careful, Levy! Yuan is incredibly powerful. We need to find a way to weaken him!” Levy nodded, his resolve strengthening. “I’ll do my best. You focus on protecting the villagers!” With renewed determination, Levy launched himself at Yuan again. The battle between them was intense, with Levy using every ounce of his strength and skill. He relied on his new techniques, gained from his previous battles with the wolf, the orc, and the lizard. "I need to use the Wolf Fang-Sword Technique!" Levy thought, channeling his energy. He slashed at Yuan with a series of rapid, powerful strikes, each one infused with the strength of the Wolf Fang-Sword Technique. Yuan staggered, clearly surprised by the force of the attack. “Impressive, but not enough,” Yuan sneered, recovering quickly. He unleashed another wave of dark magic, but Levy was ready. He used his new Dull Storm Edge Technique, swinging his sword with tremendous force. The sheer power of the attack shattered Yuan’s dark magic, pushing him back. "This is working!" Levy thought, encouraged by his success. “I just need to keep pushing!” The battle raged on, and Levy continued to fight with everything he had. He saw Ela struggling against multiple attackers and knew he had to help. With a determined look, he charged at the enemies surrounding her, cutting them down one by one. “Stay back!” Levy shouted, driving the attackers away. “Ela, are you okay?” Ela, breathing heavily, nodded. “Thank you, Levy. We have to hold them off a little longer. I can’t keep healing everyone if we don’t!” Levy nodded and returned to fighting Yuan. The red dragon continued its assault on the village, its fiery breath scorching everything in its path. Levy knew that defeating Yuan was only part of the battle. The dragon needed to be dealt with as well. Levy made a decision. “I need to take the fight to the dragon. If we can bring it down, the Dark Elves will lose their advantage.” He charged towards the dragon, dodging its fiery breath and attacking with powerful strikes. The dragon roared in fury, turning its attention to Levy. The battle between them was fierce, with the dragon using its massive size and firepower against Levy’s agility and skill. Levy used his Dull Storm Edge Technique, aiming for the dragon’s vulnerable spots. Each swing of his sword struck with incredible force, but the dragon’s thick scales made it difficult to penetrate. Despite this, Levy pressed on, determined to bring the beast down. "I need to find a way to defeat it," Levy thought, dodging another fiery attack. “There has to be a weak spot!” As the battle continued, Levy saw a chance. The dragon’s underbelly was exposed for a brief moment. Levy took a deep breath and unleashed a powerful strike using the Wolf Fang-Sword Technique, aiming directly at the weak spot. The impact was devastating, and the dragon let out a deafening roar before crashing to the ground. Levy stood over the fallen beast, panting heavily. He had done it. The dragon was defeated. The Dark Elves, seeing their powerful ally fall, began to retreat. The battle was turning in favor of Engrasia. Ela approached Levy, her expression a mix of relief and admiration. “You did it, Levy. The dragon is down. We can hold them off now.” Levy, exhausted but relieved, nodded. “I couldn’t have done it without your help, Ela. Let’s finish this and protect our home.” With the dragon defeated and the Dark Elves retreating, the battle came to an end. The villagers of Engrasia began to recover, tending to the wounded and rebuilding what had been damaged. Levy, covered in sweat and dirt, was greeted with gratitude and respect. Alkuhbar, his face a mixture of pride and exhaustion, approached Levy. “You have proven yourself to be a true hero tonight. Thank you for your bravery and strength.” Levy smiled, feeling a deep sense of accomplishment. “I’m just glad I could help. Engrasia is a special place, and I’ll do whatever I can to protect it.” As the night turned into dawn, the village of Engrasia began to heal from the battle. Levy knew that this was just the beginning of his journey, but for now, he took comfort in the fact that he had made a difference. The fight was over, and the village was safe—for now.
