Episode 23.
Looking at Roseline, Mary could see that she was so surprised that she slapped her. It was as if Roseline had done something that warranted more than just a slap.
"Don't be surprised by that! You were supposed to receive more than just a slap!" Mary yelled, then glanced up at Sam, who stood silently observing them. The expression on her face toward the young man was tense.
Her heart raced; she had never met such a handsome young man in her life. His blue eyes were captivating, and his face was the cutest she had ever seen. She couldn't tear her eyes away from him, lost in his blue gaze. His physique added to his allure.
"Please, I'm begging you, Rosemary," Roseline interjected, rising to her feet and blocking her sister's view of Sam.
"The boy has no home; let him stay here with us. He poses no threat," Roseline insisted, clearly thinking that Rosemary was upset because she didn’t want him around or because she had brought a stranger into their home.
"You think I slapped you because of him? He has done nothing wrong! I slapped you because of you! You left home without telling me! You knew I would be worried about you, yet you left anyway!" Mary shouted, her anger evident.
Roseline took a deep breath, realizing that Mary’s anger stemmed from her own actions, not from Sam's presence. She understood that her sister would naturally be worried about her, which is why she had come home. Otherwise, she would have gladly stayed in the forest with Sam.
"Rose, I know that, and I’m sorry. I understand that you worry about me, and that’s why I came home so early. My friend wanted me to stay behind with him in the forest, and I would have gladly done that, but I remembered you," Roseline explained. They hugged each other happily, relieved to be together again.
"Please, that should never happen again. don't much such a move another time, but I am always here to protect you. For now, we only have each other, and nothing else matters," Rosemary whispered in her ear, and they nodded in agreement.
After the hug, Rosemary introduced Sam to Roseline, and they began to get to know each other. Rosemary was overjoyed to welcome him home; he felt alive again. Perhaps this time he had finally found people to call family, but he couldn't be certain it would work out. He remembered how everything had gone with Adam.
They took him inside, welcomed him, and showed him to his room. Both twins adored him for being so handsome, which was exactly why they were drawn to him. Although Roseline could now boast that she had genuine feelings for him, what initially attracted her was his cute face.

Sam's Room
Sam sat in his room, admiring the stunning space they had provided for him. It was a beautiful place to stay, but it paled in comparison to the room Adam had given him. Of course, the two couldn't really be compared; one was a wealthy politician, while the other was just a little girls managing their orphanage. They had worked hard to create such a lovely home, and at least they had achieved something, unlike him. He felt lost without his parents, while them had managed to build their lives, even if their parents had helped them along the way.
Just then, his door opened. He expected it to be Roseline, but to his surprise, it was Rosemary. He wasn’t shocked; after all, he lived in the house. Still, he wondered why she had come to see him. He watched as she stepped inside, her hands clasped behind her back.
"Please, next time, could you knock on the door?" he said, looking at her. She smiled, moving closer.
"Oh, I’m sorry! I completely forgot to knock. Please forgive me..." she started, but Sam interrupted her.
"No, no, you don’t need to apologize. I just thought it would be good to remind you, even though there was nothing wrong with what you did." He smiled back at her as their eyes locked.
Sam knew what she was trying to do, but he didn’t want to dwell on it. They were siblings; they loved each other. He didn’t want to think about the possibility of betrayal over someone like him.
"You seem like a perfect gentleman. I love that," she said softly, her gaze steady. Sam nodded in response.
"That's what everyone who knows me tends to think—gentleman," he replied with a smile.
"And what do you think of yourself?" she asked, her eyes sparkling as he returned her gaze.
"It will depend on why you are here," he said, looking into her eyes. Rosemary nodded, but just then, Roseline burst into the room, startling her as she turned to see her sister standing before them.
The look on their faces was intense. Rosemary was shocked to find her sister in Sam's room; she hadn't expected to see her there. Seeing the way Rosemary looked at Sam made her curious about what she wanted from him.
Realizing Roseline was already there, Rosemary decided to pretend nothing was happening between them. She cleared her throat.
"Welcome to our home! Feel free to make yourself comfortable. If you need anything at all, just let my sister know, and she’ll be happy to help you," Rosemary said, feigning a warm welcome before leaving the room. Roseline watched her go, then turned her gaze back to Sam.
She wanted to discuss the situation, but Mary was her sister. Deep down, she knew Mary wouldn’t do anything to hurt her. Trusting this, she approached Sam, placing her hands gently on his neck.
"Now that you’re home, how do you feel about it?" she asked, locking eyes with him.
"I feel great about it, and I’m happy to be by your side now and forever," he whispered softly and intimately in her ear. They shared a tender kiss.
"Alright then. While we were in the forest, you always took care of me and provided me with food. Now it’s my turn to take care of you," she said. "You should come and taste my cooking. Maybe I’m better than yours, or maybe you’re better than me. But until you try both, we won’t know who the better cook is." She smiled at him, and they kissed once more.
