Chapter 87

Brian quickly approached a room, then reached out and turned the knob to step inside. Mia, sensing something was wrong, frantically struggled.
"Brian, let go... Put me down. What are you trying to do?"
"I told you, to revisit the past..."
He spoke slyly, and whatever he meant by revisiting the past, it surely wouldn’t be anything good.
Brian locked the door behind them and directly threw her onto the bed. Mia quickly sat up, one hand supporting herself on the bed, the other rubbing her forehead.
"What are you doing? Do we really need to be on a bed just to talk about the past?"
As she finished speaking, she hurriedly tried to crawl off the bed. Brian, removing his tie, noticed her attempt to escape. He wasn’t in a rush and instead smirked ominously.
"This conversation is much more interesting on the bed, don’t you think?"
With that, he grabbed her ankle and pulled her back. Mia almost managed to escape, but unfortunately, he caught her again. Her body slid backward involuntarily.
Her face immediately twisted in discomfort, clearly displaying her confusion and fear.
"No, what are you going to do?"
"Nothing much..."
He pinned her down, pressing her into the bed. Brian flipped her over, forcefully restraining her hands before tying them together with his tie.
Mia shuddered, finally realizing what was happening to her. Her weak body kept struggling, but she was no match for his strength. In no time, her hands were securely tied.
"What are you doing? Let me go... We're just talking, why tie my hands?"
Mia’s voice was frail, yet she kept yelling. Brian only intended to scare her a bit, he had no intention of doing anything against his conscience.
He let out a faint smile, full of meaning.
Mia’s constant struggles were in vain as he pressed her firmly onto the bed. Eventually, she tired out, becoming more docile, and stopped resisting.
Her heart pounded, and she couldn’t stop blaming herself. The first time they met again, he was already acting this way. She regretted it, wishing she hadn’t met him at all. Then, she wouldn’t be in this oppressed situation.
Seeing her stop struggling, Brian smiled smugly and asked, "Not resisting anymore?"
Mia bit her lip lightly, her eyes full of grievance. She whispered, "Who could possibly fight against you? Annoying... If you have something to say, just say it."
Brian then leaned down, close to her ear, deliberately blowing gently into it. The sensation made her shiver, and the skin around her ear immediately turned red.
She panicked again and began struggling. "What do you want? Let me go... Brian, you’re awful... Let me go..."
Brian’s smile widened, his lips curving into a perfect arc. In a deep, warm voice, he whispered, "Promise me you won’t leave, and I’ll let you go... I’ll even let you go home..."
"No, I’m leaving."
Mia answered firmly, but Brian only shook his head with a bitter smile.
"You chose this..."
With that, he wrapped his arm around her, deliberately placing his hand on her waist. His gentle hand began to caress her, slowly moving downward to where her curves were more pronounced.
Mia jolted, her cheeks flushing deeply. She knew it, he was starting to "revisit the past" as he said. The past he referred to was indeed not something pleasant.
Mia's lips trembled as she tried to turn her head back to look at him, but couldn’t. "Let go of me..."
"Just say you won’t go anywhere, and I’ll stop... I promise I won’t go any further..."
"You..."
She was so cornered that she couldn’t say another word. Yet, she still refused to give in to him.
Brian, knowing her stubbornness, squeezed her perfect curve, causing her body to involuntarily twitch. It seemed her whole body was trembling.
"Spare me... please..."
She whimpered, pleading. She really didn’t want to be completely devoured by him the first time they met again.
Brian repeated his initial offer, "Just promise, promise you won’t leave, and I’ll let you go... Otherwise... your pants..."
At this point, she was truly frightened. With a mix of fear and reluctance, she finally gave in, her voice trembling.
"Alright, alright, I promise, I promise... Just let me go..."
Still unsure if she meant it, Brian asked again, "Are you sure?"
Mia nodded repeatedly, her face as red as a tomato.
"Yes, I’m sure..."
Only then did he release her, quickly climbing off the bed and untying her hands.
Mia immediately sat up, throwing the tie aside. The situation earlier had scared her to death, making her want to cry.
Her eyes sparkled as she looked at him, her face showing clear disapproval.
At that moment, Brian gently pulled her into his arms, his gaze distant as he looked at a fixed point.
"Don’t blame me. I just don’t want you to leave me again... If you do, I’ll die..."
Mia sighed, understanding his feelings, not blaming him.
She gently stroked his back, though in her mind, she thought that if her father’s health improved one day, she might leave him again. Playing a game of hide and seek with Brian, but making sure he would never find her.
---
After dropping Mia and Cyrus back at the Garcia house, Brian took his son home. By now, it was completely dark. Carrying Cyrus in his arms, his once cold eyes were now replaced with warmth.
Cyrus wrapped his arms around his father’s neck, pondering over one thing: whether the woman his father had held earlier was his mother.
Cyrus tilted his head slightly, pouting adorably. "Dad, is she my mom?"
Brian chuckled, his eyes filled with happiness.
"Yes, she’s your mother. Her name is Mia. When you were born, she loved you very much and was the one who took care of you..."
Cyrus’ delicate brows relaxed, and he smiled softly, his lips moving slightly. "I see..."
"Alright, go to your room and rest... Dad has something to do..."
At the door to his room, Brian quickly opened it and set Cyrus down. The boy landed on his feet and eagerly stepped inside.
The door slowly closed, and Brian’s expression gradually changed, becoming cold and resolute.
Brian pulled his phone from his pocket, his eyes landing on the name "Finn" in his contacts. He pressed on the name and brought the phone to his ear.
The voice on the other end promptly answered, "Boss, is there something you need?"
Brian let out a sigh, speaking in a deep, slow voice, "Prepare a divorce paper for me by tomorrow."
On the other end, Finn, who had been distracted, quickly snapped out of his drowsiness at the sound of Brian’s words. Another divorce? He couldn’t help but feel confused but quickly responded.
"Yes, I’ll have it ready for you tomorrow. But, I’m a bit curious... Boss, do you really want to divorce Miss Edward?"
Brian’s eyes darkened, and he remained silent. This made Finn nervous, fearing he had angered his boss. He cursed himself for being foolish, realizing he shouldn’t have asked so many questions.
Just as he was lamenting internally, he heard Brian's quiet "hmm." Thank goodness, his boss wasn’t angry.
Finn responded with a soft "yes" and quickly ended the call.
After the conversation, Brian hung up the phone.
At that moment, Diana, looking seductive but drunk, stumbled up the stairs.
Brian glanced at her with a look of utter disdain.
