Stopping in front of the Garcia mansion, Cyrus dashed out of the car, the rain still drizzling down persistently. Cyrus clung tightly to the iron gate, facing inward. "Mom... Mom... Mom..." He screamed desperately, calling for his mother, but the inside remained eerily quiet, with no sign of anyone coming out. Undeterred, Cyrus continued to shout inside. "Mom... Mom... Mom..." The driver, feeling sorry for the child, quickly got out of the car and walked over to the doorbell, ringing it a few times to help the boy. After a few minutes, Mia quickly appeared. She rushed out through the thin veil of rain, heading towards the iron gate. Earlier, she had been suspicious when the maid mentioned hearing a child's voice calling for its mother. Now, hearing the doorbell, she hurried outside. Mia opened the iron gate and was startled to see Cyrus standing there, shivering. "Cyrus, Cyrus, why are you here?" She asked, swiftly lifting Cyrus into her arms. In her embrace, he cried so hard he could barely breathe, letting out all his grievances and frustrations. Mia continuously comforted him. After paying the driver, she quickly brought Cyrus inside. "Mom... Mom... Mom... I don't want to go home anymore... that mean lady keeps hitting me... Mom... Mom..." Her heart ached. The Garcia family at that time only had her, Cara, and a few maids. She gently stroked Cyrus's wet back and carefully carried him to her room. "Be good, Cyrus, don't cry... We won't go back to that house anymore, okay? Be good..." Cyrus was still sobbing uncontrollably. "Mom... You're my mom, right? Dad said so... That mean lady at home isn't my mom... Mom... Mom, I'm scared... I don't want to be hit anymore..." Mia was startled upon hearing this. Why had Brian told Cyrus that she was his mother? But, she thought, maybe it was for the best. She had always treated the child like her own son anyway. She smiled warmly and quickly took him to the bathroom. "Alright, be good... Don't cry anymore... Mom's here... Mom's here..." Mia quickly turned on the warm water and washed Cyrus, fearing he might catch a cold. As she bathed him, she was horrified to see the bruises covering his small body. "Cyrus, did she really hit you?" Cyrus nodded frantically in response to her question. Mia's brow furrowed, her eyes filled with anger. After bathing him, Mia gently carried him out of the bathroom. She tenderly placed him on the bed next to Cara. "Cyrus, this is your sister... Sit here and play with her... I'll call your dad." Cyrus could only nod obediently. She left the room, returning to her bedroom next door to find her phone. She dialed Brian's number, her mind in a state of panic. Had Diana been abusing Cyrus all these years? He was her own flesh and blood—how could she be so heartless? The voice on the other end of the line was warm. "Mia, what's wrong?" "Where are you?" Mia's voice was urgent. "I'm at the office. What's going on?" Hearing his response, she let out a sigh of relief. "Come to my house right away... Cyrus is here." Hearing Cyrus's name, Brian's entire body tensed up. He spoke urgently. "Cyrus? Why is he there?" "I don't know either. He only mentioned that Diana hit him. When he got here, he couldn't stop crying. Brian, please come quickly..." Brian swallowed hard, his throat dry, and quickly replied. "Alright, I'll be right there." With that, he hung up the phone. Leaving the office in a hurry, Brian drove straight to the Garcia house, his mood darkening. Upon arrival, Mia led Brian to the room where Cyrus and Cara were sitting. As soon as Cyrus saw him, he quickly slid off the bed and ran into his father's arms. Brian lifted his son, his eyes filled with fear and sorrow. "What happened? Didn't I tell you to call me if something happened? Why did you come here? Do you know how dangerous that was?" Cyrus choked back tears as he replied. "I wanted to call you, but as soon as I took out my phone, that mean lady snatched it away and threw it. She hit me really hard, and it hurt so much... I couldn't stand it, so I came to find Mom..." Brian felt a sharp pang of pain upon hearing this. His eyes filled with rage, almost as if he wanted to tear Diana apart. He stroked Cyrus's hair, trying to comfort him. "Alright... stay here with Mom... I need to go back for a bit... I'll be back soon, okay?" Cyrus rubbed his eyes and obediently nodded. Brian then looked at Mia, and they both exchanged a silent nod. He placed Cyrus back on the bed and left the room with Mia. "What are you planning to do when you get back?" she asked, unable to hold back. She knew how angry Brian was, fearing he might do something reckless. Brian gave her a cold smile, his expression filled with murderous intent. "This time, when I go back... I’m going to end something once and for all. Something that should have ended a long time ago..." He said no more, and she didn't ask any further. Brian left Mia's house, driving back home alone. His eyes were bloodshot, and he bit his lip, his breathing heavy. Diana... this time, she had really pushed Brian too far. Back home, he stormed into Diana's room like a furious wolf, his anger palpable. Kicking the door open, he saw her lying asleep and, without hesitation, grabbed her wrist and yanked her up. "Damn it... You wicked woman, how dare you hit my son?" Diana was startled awake upon seeing him, her eyes dazed. Although slightly drunk, she sobered up somewhat when she saw him. "You... What do you want? Can't you leave me alone?" Brian glanced at the divorce papers still neatly placed on the table beside her. "Damn it, Diana, did you think my words were just empty threats?" Diana nodded, not fully understanding why he was so furious. Perhaps he had heard about how she had just bullied Cyrus. "What do you want?" Diana looked at him, confused. Brian wanted nothing more than to slap her across the face. He gritted his teeth, grabbed the divorce papers, and threw them at her. "I told you to sign them..." Diana looked at the papers, then at Brian, her face showing more clarity. "I won't sign." Brian nodded, pressing his lips together tightly. "Alright, alright, alright... Diana... alright, alright... you're something else..." He left her room, seemingly making a call to someone. A few minutes later, Brian walked back in. "I told you to sign... Diana, you don't know what you're up against... You're pushing me to my limit." "So what? What are you going to do to me?" "What will I do to you? You'll see soon enough..." Diana sneered, her eyes hazy as if filled with water. From start to finish, she had no intention of signing the divorce papers. "Let's see what you can do to me..." "What I can do to you? You'll see soon enough..." Brian spat out each word with heavy bitterness. Not long after, Diana's phone rang. She answered, but before she started, her expression was still normal. However, after the call ended, Diana looked terrified. Her face showed fear and panic as she looked at Brian, no longer as confident and arrogant as before. Her lips trembled. "What... what did you do? Did you really do that?" She checked the Hot Search and saw that her name was at the top. "Dark Past and Evil Face of Mrs. Diana, Forcing the Young Master to Divorce." The news articles listed all her crimes, recounting them in detail, without a single mistake. Even the incident where she had driven two mother and child to their deaths years ago was now front-page news. Brian smiled mockingly, shoving a hand into his pocket. His gaze was firm, tinged with ridicule as he looked at Diana. "So, how is it? I didn't lie to you, did I? The police... might be here soon..."
