"S-steven...how...what...was happening?"
"Sunny!"
"Mavin! Steven!" I heard my dad called us. "We have sieged the enemies already." Dad added.
"Prile is around dad. Have you seen or caught him too?" Mavin asked.
Dad shook his head. "He left his troops. He was nowhere to be found within the perimeter," he answered and looked at Sunny, who was unconscious. "How is she? Is she hurt?" He asked.
"No, dad. We managed to guard her better." I replied.
"Good. I will let the others check the house first. Are you okay? Does she know about our secret now?" Dad asked calmly.
I nodded slowly. "Yes, dad. She saw me." I replied.
"What are your plans now?"
"I want to send her home first. After that, I want to stay away from her. I do not think she is safe with me... and I am scared that she does not want to be with me anymore." I answered.
"You will be fine. Do not worry. Let's just send her home for now. Let's do what you want to do," Dad said, tapping my shoulders. "Mavin, get your car ready. Let's send Sunny home now."
On the way to their house, I held her hands tightly.
I almost let her get killed by the enemy. I do not know what to expect if she was hurt a while ago. I feel like I do not want to face her right now. I don't know what to say or explain to her. She was probably scared and hated me after what happened.
I can't bear to see her eyes scared of me.
I hope I did not invite her today. I should have sent her home right away.
If I did that, I was able to think about how I should tell her about our secret. I might be able to think of more ways to do it, but not like this. Showing her my true self without further notice and explanation.
I am getting crazy.
"We are here." Dad said.
I looked at Dad and turned to their house.
"I-I will go out and tell her Mom first." I said, and I got out of the car.
When I knocked at their door, Auntie opened it for me.
"Steven, what is it? Are you with Sunny, right?" Auntie asked immediately.
Fidgeting my hand out of nervousness, "Sunny is in the car," I replied, pointing at our car. "Something happened at our house and she fell unconscious out of shock. I am very sorry, Auntie." I added and said my apology.
"What happened? It's not something bad, right? Is she hurt or anything?" Auntie asked as we approached the car.
"I-I can't tell you right now, but it is bad. She was not hurt. I just scared her too much, causing her to faint. I am very sorry." I explained.
"It's nice to see you, Mr. Rendezcah. Have you been doing well? What's happening right now is very hard. I hope both for your safety." Auntie said. "Steven, please help me put her to bed." She added.
I nodded and calmly carried Sunny to her room.
"I'm sorry. I am still hoping I did not make you scared. What the hell have I been saying? Of course, I made you scared. That's why you fainted." I laughed. "I am very very sorry." I added and planted a kiss on her forehead before leaving her room.
Auntie was still talking to Dad and Mavin when I got back.
"Whatever it is, I understand. I know you can't tell me right now, but I will try to understand it if I ever learn about it. I am not mad. Remove that sad face of yours. Your handsomeness is decreasing." Auntie said.
I smiled at Auntie.
"Good. That's what I wanted to see. Don't worry about Sunny; she will be fine later. Talk about it afterward. " She added.
I nodded. "Thank you, Auntie."
"Thank you too. You are like my son now. Don't worry too much, okay? You should get going. You still have to fix what happened in your house. You are all here. They might need you there. Sunny will just contact you when she wakes up." Auntie said.
"W-we will go now. Please tell Sunny I wrote something in her notebook. She might not see it." I answered before going inside the car.
"Take care on your way." Auntie said.
We bowed our heads before Mavin started the engine and drove away.
It's the end.
I was not able to tell her who I really was. The enemies managed to tell them about our secret.
"Steven, do you want to spend some time at our headquarters?" Mavin asked.
I nodded.
"I will call Grandma later to tell her we are going back to our home for now." He added.
"Are you going to avoid Sunny?" Dad asked too.
I shrugged my shoulders. "I honestly don't know what to do, Dad." I replied. "I am still not ready for what might be Sunny's reaction. I am sure that it made her scared and confused. I do not think I can face her right now." I admit it.
"Don't you think talking to her is the best way to know if it's okay or not? If you leave Sunny with her thoughts unanswered, it will make her scare more." Dad commented.
"I know, Dad." I said. "But I am not ready. I can't face her. I am scared." I added.
I feel like I have disappointed her and her family already. How could she fall in love with the likes of me? I am very different from her.
When we got back to our house, we quickly fixed our things we needed to bring with us. After that, we headed to the headquarters.
"I sent some people to guard Sunny and her family," Dad announced. "As well as her sister who is working. They might come to them, so we need to make sure about their safety too." he added.
"Prile ordered to kill Sunny. We must keep an eye on her. They might also have used her as bait to lure us." Mavin commented. "But I am confused about what happened a while ago."
We turned to him.
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"When Sunny yelled, all of them whimpered out of pain, and they all touched their ears. Some of them were scared and moved backwards." He shared. "Don't you find it strange? How could she do that kind of thing?" He asked.
"Really?" Dad asked.
Maybe what I smelled was also true.
"A while ago, when I approached her, her scent was too strong. I do not know if I am just hallucinating but her smell and the kid who was my mate before...they have the same scent." I shared.
"What?" they both asked.
"I don't know. I am not sure too." I responded.
"I will investigate her descendants." Dad said.
"There could be a possibility that she is the same as us." Mavin added.
I shook my head. "No, that's impossible. Please do not let my hopes get too high. This is killing me already." I said, defeated.
"Okay, now get your wounds cleaned. After that, we will have our meeting. Now that we know who we are facing, we can plan on how to siege them all." Dad said. "We need more details about that, Prile. We let him off the hook since we are still not sure about him. Now that he has shown himself and declared a war, we need to stop them before killing innocent people." he added.
Dad tapped Mavin and I's shoulders before going to where Mavin's employees were.
"For now, you have to look out for yourself. Sunny will be safe, and if she wakes up later, give her time to absorb everything she learned today. It's up to her now. Do not close your line. Wait for her to call or message you." Mavin told me.
"Do not run away from her and avoid her forever. Sunny will be confused too, and she needs explanations from you."
"Wait for her. That is the only thing you can do right now. Or if you have the guts to face her, then talk to her and explain everything you need to explain. Okay?" He added. "Don't get sad. Do not worry too much, trust her. Sunny is built different."
I sat on the couch and sighed.
I hope after what happened, she will be able to absorb what she has just seen. Instead of being scared, there is still hope that her love for me won't wash away like a flowing river.
I do not know what to do about my studies. I can't just show up to our school like I am used to doing.
"Will you still like me, Sunny?"
Or are you scared of me now?

I now have a lot of regrets and I am hating myself because of that.
