I woke up in a tiny room without anything but a bed suitable for one and a sink: a locked door and a small window. I looked around, and there was no television, no radio, just me. I am wearing white too, and I am already clean, not stinky anymore. I don't know where they imprisoned me, but I know that angel is mad at me. I can feel her energy that she doesn't like me, maybe because I won the battle that is why she imprisoned me. Her voice keeps echoing in my head, telling me that it is not all real. The battle I face, the woman I love, and the angel in disguise are not real. That I need help, and she is the help because she wants me to believe that she is a doctor. I laughed every time I remembered what she told me because I knew what was real, and she was the one who was not telling the truth. What do they want from me? The battle is already over, and it is crystal clear that I have won the war. I looked around again, knowing that this was no heaven or hell. I am still on earth. They just locked me up. I stood up and went near the window. I tried to open the door too but I couldn't. It seems that they locked it from the outside, and it is too hard to open without a key. I can't break it even how many times I will shake it. I tried to kick the door, but nothing happened. It remains closed and strong. One more try at opening the door, and I will stop. I will find some other way to go out. I tried to let my black smoke out, but I couldn't. It is not coming out, and I wonder what the woman angel did to me? Why is my black smoke not coming out? I looked at the door, and the way it was closed seemed that they didn't want me to escape. I shake it hard again, but it is too strong. I tried to open it again, but I really couldn't open it. There's a small window enough for me to see the one standing at the front of the door. I tried to put my arm out to get his attention.
"Hey! hey", I called to the man standing at the door. He is wearing white, with no accessories or even an I.D. He looks serious too.
"Can you open the door for me?" I asked, but he didn't reply. He just looks at me.
"Can you open the door for me?" I asked him again, but he didn't answer. He didn't even move. I went back to my bed and sat. I scratched my head and stared at the door. When I noticed a camera too, and I was being watched. Someone is watching me, but who? Maybe it is the self-proclaimed doctor. Is she recording me? Is she watching every move that I am making? But why? I shook my head and tried to recall everything. I remember that I was sitting in a corner somewhere in Manila. She found me there, and she told me that Michael, Divina, and Tania were not honest, but I didn't believe her. I know they are real because I talk to them. I touched them, and I even kissed Tania, or maybe she is just manipulating me? Controlling me to defeat me just in case the battle is not yet over. She will not win because I will not let her win. I know the truth, and she is not a part of it. She cannot fool me.
"Hello," I said and waved at the camera. I know someone is watching me, and I am not wrong. The door opens, and it is the doctor again carrying her bag, and she is with her nurses. She went inside and looked at me, and then she set up her camera to face us. She took her pen and notebook inside her bag and sat in front of me.
"Who are you? Who sent you here?" I asked because I was getting pissed.
"Are you one of the wise women who was taught how to summon the gods and the angels?" I asked again, but she didn't answer. She just smiled. She stares at me for a moment, and it seems that she is reading me. I can't look at her. I became shy. I don't know, or maybe she is using a spell by her stare.
"It is alright. You can look at me, Isaac," She said in her sweetest tone of voice, and that is what I did. I slowly look at her.
"Why can't I let my black smoke come out? What did you do to me? what did you inject me with?" I asked again while looking straight at her. I am not happy with what is happening. She just suddenly appeared in my life and told me that I am mentally ill, and she wants me to believe even though I know that I am not.
I don't know why I can't let my black smoke come out. Maybe she is controlling it too. Maybe there's something that she injected into me that blocks my black smoke, or perhaps there is something in this room that holds my black smoke. That is why it is not coming out, no matter how many times I try to let it out. I looked around the room, but I saw nothing and looked at her with dismay because I didn't know why she was doing this. Her reason is not valid because I know what happened to me. I am aware, and I know it.
"Nobody sent me, and I am your doctor. I am Doctor Castelo, your psychiatrist," She answered again. Same lies that she wants me to believe. I laughed at her and looked away. I don't know what to say to her anymore. She is consistent with her lies. I look at her and look at the nurses who are standing behind her. It seems that they are waiting for her command. She keeps on telling me the same thing all over so that she will look like telling the truth. In case it is not yet over, her strategy of winning the battle is dirty.
"You are in the hospital, and we have been looking for you since the day that you escaped, and you've been missing for one month. Your brother keeps on looking for you, either. He is also worried about you, about what happened to you," She said, which made me laugh again and shook my head because I don't have a brother. Suppose he is about to be Samael. I don't consider him my brother. He is not my real brother. We came from the same team, but we are not brothers in blood.
"No, I don't have a brother," I said, and I looked at her.
"You are kidding, right?" I asked, but she didn't look like she was kidding. She didn't even smile.
"I am afraid that I am not… you lost your sanity when you caught your wife cheating with your brother in your own house, in your bed and when your dad died because of the accident. You are diagnosed with Schizophrenia—-" and she stopped talking and looked at me eye to eye while holding her pen and paper. I was waiting for her to write something, but she didn't. I gave her a look and asked,
"Who is my brother?"
"Isaiah"
"I am sorry?" I want her to repeat what she said to know if I heard it correctly.
"Isaiah", She answered loud and clear that leaving me speechless. She looked at me and waited for me to say something, but when I had nothing to say. She took a deep breath and continued.
"Schizophrenia is a chronic brain disorder, and the symptoms of it are delusional, hallucination, the troubled thinking, disorganized speech, and lack of motivation if it is active, and you have those signs", She calmly said, but still I can't believe it because I know what happened to me. It is not a hallucination, it is not a delusion, but it is real—nothing but reality. I am an angel. I am the angel of death, and she will not be going to buy me with that. Her sweet and calm voice will not make me trapped in what she is saying.
"Please, stay here until you get all the help you need", She added while still looking into my eyes. She knows about what happened to Maria and my dad so that she might be telling the truth, but fallen angels are wise. They know things even if it is secret, so I have to be careful. I looked at her and asked,
"How did you know about that? Who gave you that information?"
"You're brother Isaiah, and he wants to help you because he feels sorry for what happened that is why he told me the things that might help me diagnose what is happening to you" I took a deep breath, hearing her answer and shook my head while waiting for her to leave because I am not interested in what she is saying. Those pieces of information are not enough. She can't trick me. Isaiah or Samael is dead. I defeated him, and I know it. I saw it with two eyes, and he is not my brother. I don't have a brother.
"Your first stay here lasts for three days, and you escape" I didn't react to what she said because I'd never been here until I remembered my flashback. The part that I am inside the room with her. I closed my eyes and rubbed my face because it was not valid. That part of my flashback is not true. I opened my eyes again and looked at her, staring at me.
"What happened to my father? Why did he die?" I asked just to test her knowledge about me. She fixed her eyeglasses, wet her lips, and cleared her throat.
"Your father died because he fell on the stairs when he tried to stop you from killing your brother and Maria. You had an accident and after the accident. You start seeing things, hearing things, and when I diagnosed you. You have Schizophrenia," She answered, and she is right about what happened to me, but still, I am not convinced, and again, I don't have Schizophrenia. She is lying about that part; I am fine, totally fine.
"Where is Maria now?"
"I don't want to disclose that question. It might not help you."
"Is she dead, right?" She didn't answer, but she shook her head. "How's Tania now and Divina? what's their reaction when you get me from their territory?" I asked.
"There's no Tania or Divina. There is no apartment because you are on the street all along. Since you escape," She answered, and she looked serious, which surprised me. I lean back and think for a moment. I tried to read her, but I saw nothing, only the determination to convince me that I needed her help.
"And there is no angel either", She continued, which I hadn't remembered that I mentioned about it to her.
"The last time when you are here. You did everything to escape. You made a scene, you created a light and…and—-" And she stopped and took a deep breath, looked around, and she looked back at me and continued.
"That is why I put you here because I am afraid that you might escape again."
"What?" I was surprised. I feel like I am getting deaf because I can't believe what she tells me. Escape? I asked myself. Yes, I saw myself in a room with her in my flashback, but still, it is not enough for me to believe in what she is saying because what I feel is stronger than her statements. What happened to me is the truth, nothing but the truth.
"There is no Tania, Divina, and the apartment and the angel. You are just hallucinating and having a delusion because of your mental breakdown," She repeated. That makes me laugh and clap my hands. She didn't stop convincing me to believe her. She keeps her lies going even though she looks stupid to me.
"You are not an angel of death like what you keep on saying. You just want to punish your wife and brother because they betrayed you. You want to kill them, but your father stops you. That is where the angel of death of yours came from," She added like she was explaining it to me word per word for me to understand, but I just looked at her and laughed again at what she said. It is not convincing enough. I know what is happening to me, and it is still fresh in my head. She can't fool me.
"I don't have a brother."
"Yes, you do, and his name is Isaiah, and he feels sorry about what he did. He wants to help you."
I laughed, and I looked her straight in her eyes and told her, "HE IS NOT MY BROTHER", And she didn't say anything. When is she going to stop with her lies? I know the truth, and she can't fool me.
"You are lying," I said, but she didn't answer.
"You are lying," I said again.
What she said is deceiving because I know what is true and what is not. The truth is I am a fallen angel of death and what is not is what she is telling me now, that Isaiah is my brother, and I am totally fine. She wants me to believe that what happened to me is untruthful and what she is telling me is the reality. The black smoke and the spiritual war are not real, even though I can feel real. I know it is. I grabbed her by her collar, and she made a 'stop' sign to her nurses when nurses were about to go near us. She is confident that I will not hurt her. She remains calm while still looking at me in my eyes without blinking. With her eyeglasses, I know she is a smart woman. Smart enough to make someone believe in what she is telling, not me because I know what happened to me. It is still fresh, and I remember it all.
"I am not," She said calmly.
"After an accident, you wake up with bad news that gives you a mental breakdown. Your brother brought you to my hospital and told me to help you, but you escaped, "she added, still convincing me to believe her.
"Tell me who you are?" I asked while I was still holding her collar.
"I am Doctor Castelo, and I am your doctor, and you are inside the mental hospital", She answered, and I let go of her and looked at her without a word. She fixes her collar while still keeping an eye on me. I laughed again. Am I inside the mental hospital? Funny. I don't have a mental health condition. I don't have Schizophrenia, and I am fine.
"I think that is all for today. Later I will give you medicine, and you need to take it," She said, and she stood up and put her camera back inside her bag. She put her notebook and her ballpen inside too, even though she didn't write anything and then left. She closed the door and left me inside alone. I heard her lock the door and look at me out the window.
"Please don't escape again. Let me help you, "she said. How can I escape? She locked the door. She is the one that is crazy, not me.
"There is no Tania, Divina, and the apartment and the angel. You are just hallucinating and having a delusion because of your mental breakdown."
"I am afraid that I am not… you lost your sanity when you caught your wife cheating with your brother in your own house, in your bed and when your dad died because of the accident. You are diagnosed with Schizophrenia."
What she told me keeps on playing in my head. Her voice echoed in my ears. I sat on the bed and thought about everything that had happened. I know I am fine, and I don't have schizophrenia-like what she said, but she knows about my cheating on Maria and the death of my father. That makes me confused now and causes me headaches by thinking about what happened to me and what she keeps on telling me. It mixes inside my brain. I sat back on my bed and leaned on the wall. I suddenly wonder about my angel's name if I am an angel. I remember Michael told me that she could not say my name. Maybe they will make me remember my angel's name once I am inside heaven. I took a deep breath, and I bumped my head twice on the wall and closed my fist. Isaiah is not my brother because he is Samael, a fallen angel like me. I am sitting alone in this four-cornered wall because they believe I have a mental condition. They locked me up because they didn't want me to escape again. I retook a deep breath and closed my eyes because I was hopeless to go out. This is not the life that I expect. I hope someone will come and get me out of here.
"Father, father. Please don't forsake me," I whispered to God in heaven just in case this was still a part of his test. I wanted him to give me strength, and then the unexplainable bright light appeared in my room. I looked at it. I saw Michael in his phoenix form, and I slowly stood up and looked around to see if someone was witnessing the bright light. I want them to see it to know that I am not mentally ill and that all that happened to me is real. I hope the camera is recording, and I hope she can see this; I know she can because the camera is connected to her. Micheal appeared in front of me. He is waiting for me to go with him. That is why I stood up immediately; without a word, I went to Michael and vanished into the light. They hurriedly run to my room to see what is happening, but it is too late because I am gone, and only my clothes are left on the floor.
I know they might not believe me, but I am an angel… -END-
