Chapter 14 Uninvited Guest

3RD PERSON'S POV
The morning sun streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow over the room. Orange had barely slept, her mind too preoccupied with the unexpected presence of Rodora. She had managed to doze off for a couple of hours on the couch, but the discomfort of the situation kept her restless.
As she rubbed the sleep from her eyes and stretched, she heard the sound of footsteps approaching. Her heart skipped a beat, and she turned to see her younger sister, Ellie, standing in the doorway, her eyes wide with shock.
"Orange?" Ellie whispered, her voice tinged with disbelief. "Is that... Rodora?"
Orange sighed, running a hand through her messy hair. "Yeah, Ellie. It's her."
Before Ellie could respond, their parents appeared behind her, their expressions mirroring their daughter's shock. "What's going on here?" her father demanded, his voice stern.
Orange took a deep breath, preparing herself for the inevitable barrage of questions. "Rodora showed up last night. She was drunk, so I let her sleep it off."
Her mother frowned, concern etched on her face. "But why is she still here?"
As if on cue, Rodora emerged from the bedroom, looking surprisingly refreshed despite her drunken state the night before. She wore one of Orange's oversized shirts, which hung loosely on her slender frame, and her hair was tousled in a way that only seemed to enhance her natural beauty.
"Good morning," Rodora said, her voice smooth and confident. She flashed a charming smile at Orange's family, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "I hope I'm not intruding."
Ellie's jaw dropped, and she took a step forward, her eyes wide with awe. "Rodora! I can't believe you're here!"
Rodora chuckled, her gaze shifting to Ellie. "Yes, that's me."
Orange rolled her eyes, trying to ignore the fluttering in her chest at the sight of Rodora's effortless charm. "Alright, everyone, let's not make a big deal out of this. Rodora will be leaving soon."
Rodora raised an eyebrow, her smile never wavering. "Actually, I was hoping to stay a bit longer. I could use a break from the chaos of the music industry."
Orange's father crossed his arms, his expression skeptical. "And why should we believe that?"
Rodora's smile faltered for a moment, but she quickly regained her composure. "I understand your concern, Mr. Reyes. But I assure you, I have no intention of causing any trouble. I just need some time to clear my head."
Orange's mother glanced at her daughter, her eyes filled with worry. "Orange, are you okay with this?"
Orange hesitated, her mind racing with conflicting emotions. She didn't want Rodora here, but at the same time, she couldn't deny the part of her that still cared for her. "It's fine, Mom. She can stay for now."
Her father sighed, clearly unhappy with the situation but unwilling to argue further. "Alright. But if she causes any trouble, she's out."
Rodora nodded, her expression sincere. "Thank you. I promise I'll be on my best behavior."
With that, the family dispersed, leaving Orange and Rodora alone in the kitchen. Orange busied herself with making coffee, trying to ignore the way Rodora's presence seemed to fill the room.
The day passed in a blur of awkward interactions and stolen glances. Rodora made an effort to be charming and polite, winning over Ellie with stories of her life as a pop star. Orange's parents remained wary, but they couldn't deny the magnetic pull of Rodora's charisma.
As evening fell, Orange retreated to her bedroom, desperate for some solitude. She buried herself in her studies, trying to drown out the thoughts that threatened to overwhelm her. But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't shake the feeling of Rodora's presence just beyond the door.
Hours passed, and the house grew quiet. Orange's family had gone to bed, leaving her alone with her thoughts. She glanced at the clock, noting the late hour, and decided it was time to call it a night.
She stood up, stretching her tired muscles, and made her way to the bed. But as she reached for the covers, she froze. Rodora was already there, lying on her side with a cheeky grin on her face.
Orange's eyes narrowed, her frustration bubbling to the surface. She pointedly ignored Rodora and turned back to her desk, deciding to continue studying. The silence in the room was thick, almost suffocating, but neither of them broke it.
Rodora, undeterred, made herself comfortable, pulling the covers over herself and closing her eyes. Orange could feel the weight of Rodora's presence behind her, a constant reminder of the unresolved tension between them.
The hours ticked by, and Orange's focus on her studies wavered. She found herself glancing over her shoulder, watching the steady rise and fall of Rodora's breathing. Memories of their past flooded her mind, but she pushed them away, determined to stay focused.
Finally, exhaustion won out, and Orange closed her books, rubbing her tired eyes. She stood up and walked to the bed, carefully slipping under the covers on the opposite side. She kept her back to Rodora, the silence between them unbroken.
As she lay there, staring at the ceiling, Orange's mind raced with thoughts of the future. She couldn't deny the part of her that still cared for Rodora, but she also knew she needed to focus on her own path, her own dreams.
The night stretched on, and Orange found herself drifting in and out of sleep. Each time she woke, she was acutely aware of Rodora's presence beside her, a reminder of the complicated emotions that still lingered.
In the early hours of the morning, Orange finally gave in to her exhaustion, her eyes closing as she drifted into a fitful sleep. She dreamed of the past, of the moments they had shared, and the love that had once burned so brightly between them.
