Chapter Forty Three: Kidnapped

“Is this why you always have the position of the queen empty even after all those fierce battles in the past? Even though you are struggling? Because the spot of the queen is for the goddess?” Zeph said in a sarcastic tone.
The attention of the people outside the domain all shifted when they heard the word goddess. This was a conversation some could understand but some would totally get it. This would cause problems afterwards.
“Shut up, traitor,” Johann said full of annoyance.
“Hey that hurt, I just chose my own side you know. If you step to this side you’ll definitely know of its benefits. The gods have been in power for a very long time, even now that they do not make appearances they are still upheld as the strongest beings. But is that really true? They do not even come save you when you are in the brink of extinction.”
“Except for that one goddess there. But is she really here for the Llfhams? Or for the sake of that man you call your hero?” This time Zeph addressed his words to the people outside the battlefield.
How did he know about me being a goddess? Was that his goal for orchestrating my kidnapping?
“Don’t force your stupid ideologies on us. You stupid traitor, that is just your stupid brain’s reasoning because of your envy. You can’t really surpass your sister if you are on the same side right?” Johann smugly asked
A blaze surrounded the tile Johann was standing; I summoned my wand and performed a quick quirk, easily extinguishing the fire. Zeph gritted his teeth
“Don’t bring that woman in this conversation.”
The anger on his face became evident. He raised his hands up in the air. At first a flicker began to materialize but as milliseconds pass it gradually became bigger and bigger. So big that it’s scale and range can totally blow off this domain.
We should stop this. I nodded at Johann. There was no time. We need to go to the dorms too.
“Move, my queen. Protect our land.” Johann chanted, activating the enchantments.
*‘Envelop the land with purity
Oh air of mercy and pity’*
I spread my arms and the wind spread to the whole board. This caused wind to be in every tile the spirits are standing in.
“Now, let’s hear the king’s order,” I said.
The fireball above us became our sky; it was only a short amount of time before it falls on us.
“You can’t escape this,” Zeph spoke, his eyes wide from euphoria.
“Indeed, I think we could not escape this. Can you tell us how you entered the academe then? Or how you knew I was the goddess?” I said in surrender
“Oh? Did you finally realize you are powerless in the face of black mahò?”
“Yes, yes, I am just a normal mahò who suddenly remembered my memories in the past. I am really scared right now,” I depressingly added
Zeph nodded, “I’ll tell you then,”
“Do you think you could fool me?” he shouted. His eyes became even wider.
“You’ve seen through it? That was quick,” I praised.
“Do you think measly trick will stop this power?”
What I did was making the spirits presence gone using my attribute. It was a combination of Johann ang my skill. A combo skill of the queen and the king, making the other spirit’s presence gone from the board. Hence, they could attack without being notice.
One moment Zeph was standing next moment he was kneeling on one knee. The attack has begun.
We were about to launch yet another attack when a shrill coming from the direction of the dorms made all of us look back. Together with the shrill the sound barrier shattered and person was flying up towards the sky.
It was Professor Macabre carrying the unconscious Antonella. Following them was William. I thought they were escaping when William attacked Professor Macabre. Somebody from the ground jumped towards them, and it was Luther. He attempted to grab Antonella but Professor Macabre disappeared, appearing once again in the ground.
“Looks like it’s done. Goodbye then, I’ll see you again. In the next war,” he said and the flames above plunged.
*********
“They have kidnapped a child of the Locke family in their own land! The audacity of those ingrates!”
“That woman was a traitor, how come the academe has let this happen?”
“His majesty will be angered by this,”
“Why haven’t we informed of the characters in the prophecy?”
“Would you please shut up and let us explain!” the loud bang created when Monk Amon hit the table caused silence in the table with the arguing town heads.
We are currently at the headmaster’s office after that incident this morning. The incident left everyone in shock and fear. Most especially William, he was blaming himself for not being able to save his sister even though he was there.
Right now he was also in the meeting table, bowing his head and clenching his fist. He wanted to follow them but they quickly disappeared after the huge explosion caused by the fireballs.
The people present in the meeting hall were the three town heads, the head seer, the monks, the head of the militia, the headmaster of course, the Lockes, the aces, and finally Johann and me.
“I am sure, even without the official announcement you already know about the characters in the prophecy right?” Monk Amon began.
There was no response from the town heads. I too suspected it, even the aces knew of the prophecy so it was not a shocking news at all that it was already known among the officials.
“Has this reached the imperial court’s ears?” Ask Monk Amon again.
“Not yet,” the head of the capital answered.
“We are yet to address this to his majesty after talking about it with the tower. But with this incident we cannot hide it any longer. If you only told us sooner than this we could have prevented this from happening!”
Carl Torrifhame, cousin of the king and the current head of the capital.
“Are you saying you could have prevented the attack of that milieus table?” Monk Amon sarcastically asked.
“Stop it now. Just tell us what we should know; we don’t have time to dawdle. The Lady Locke is danger in this moment,” Airah Reah Zandrea, the head of Einsheyl intervened.
The calm but stern expression on her face gave her statement more power.
“Well then, let us hear it from the persons involved, as you already know the prophecy, let the characters of it speak.”
Monk Amon’s eyes turned to me and the person sitting next to me.
I held my head high and returned all their gazes.
“The war from 100 years ago has dawned on us again. It was an unfinished business rooting from an ambitious evil wizard, years ago we have failed to completely vanish the threat, and now he is rising again. The Seven Table Milieus Executives are gathering seven enders that are needed to resurrect the Grand Arch Wizard. As you know the captain of the aces has defeated the seventh ender and the ender voice was in the possession of the academe. Yet strangely, it was back in the enemy’s hand. The traitor, was a professor who infiltrated the academe a long time ago. And no one even noticed it, or maybe someone noticed but has failed to vanquish the threat.
If you are wondering who I am to speak all of this,
I am Listarte Moria Graciana, the goddess of the wind,” as I ended my long speech, there was only silence that welcomed me.
“The prophecy tells of a goddess descent, but what it truly meant was the descent of a goddess,”
“This is no time to be joking, Monk Amon please,” capital head Hallivil said as he massaged his temple.
I knew they would not believe me that easily. This is going to be hard.
“How about I tell you that the captain of the aces is the hero from the legends?” the headmaster spoke.
“Impossible! Stop this play already,” Capital head Carl Torrifhame exclaimed.
“What would we gain from lying at this point?” Monk Amon said, a little annoyed from what is happening.
“Then tell us something more believable!”
“It is believable, we have seen their power. The lady used a high class wind spell that even an SS class mage of ours cannot hold. And the captain showed the legendary power of the hero. It may seem impossible but what would you do if all what they just said is true?” Professor Joseph Debra voiced out.
It seems like the words of someone like him is recognized.
“If she indeed is a goddess, you have shown great disrespect,” Seer Soraya added
“The Supremacy has everything ready; we are ready to retrieve Lady Locke in the enemy territory. Together with the goddess and the hero, please do inform the king. We have done the formality, now we will do what we think is right.
We do not care whoever stops us. Those who will get in our way will be considered as obstacles. The Supremacy will motion all of its resources, for the will of our goddess.” Monk Amon announced.
She stood behind me. All throughout Johan just remained quiet. But when Monk Amon said that, he also stood up and flicked his hand. The spirits all appeared. The Aces stood up, the monks, the seers, Professor Joseph, and finally the headmaster. They all stood behind me leaving only the capital heads sitting.
“We are the Supremacy, bowing and welcoming our Goddess,” Johann chanted and kneeled before me.
This was all followed by all of the people who stood by me.
“Stand, it is time to face the enemy. We will recover one of ours and destroy what threatens us. May the blessing of Gaearandys be with us,”
